Alzheimer's isn't that bad, actually...yeah, it's horrible, but you yourself don't know what's happening...so it doesn't effect you so much as the people around you.

Also, I think our generation is going to be strange when it gets old. I mean, seriously. What are we going to look like with all those tattoos?? o.o

it's my power cord actually, it keeps just dying and sometimes it just shuts the computer off unexpecetedly which isn't good at all

I still think I'd take it badly because generally when you're diagnosed you're still very much in your own mind and I'd know it'd be hell on my kids and family. But then what's worse? deciding to bow out then or stay around and force them to watch you forget them? tough one for me to decide on. So, hopefully I never have to!

so far I know i'm predisposed for diabetes and stomach cancer. no Alzheimer's anywhere yet.

@Empress: Mhmm. If we were animals, they'd just put us down when we started going through that, but we're not. There is Alzheimer's in my family, but it's only happened the once, and it can be deterred if you stay really mentally active, which I hope I will.

I'm predisposed to breast cancer and a few other cancers. o.< One is lung cancer, but that's not really hereditary. It's mostly caused from being exposed to bad chemicals.

It's only like 30 bucks >.< but there will be like a a week where money sucks while I'm transitioning and sadly that week is rent week :(

Awh, yeah. Save the money then, is the right thing.

Ely:: After listening to everyone argue for a month, I cracked and just took the keys to my grandpa's workshop and went out there early in the morning, and it was the first time I had been out there since he'd died, and it still like....had his scent....and everything....nothing had been touched. And I just climbed into his big chair and curled up and cried for hours. And I found the stuffed lion I'd given him years ago and the pocket knife with the mother-of-pearl handle, and pocketed them. Didn't ask, and I don't regret it. My aunt would've probably started shit over it, but as far as I'm concerned, she can suck it. She was the one who was "too busy with work blah blah" to help us take care of him while he was wasting away with cancer, but she still had time to go to Oklahoma and gamble. Just not up the street three blocks to help her father.

Some one told me it was the adapter and it was going to be over 200 orginally so I'm glad the real total is so low, but it was bad timing with the event, but it seems to be doing okay ish *knocks on wood*

I don't know if anybody in my family has figured out that a lot of the stuff I took, I took because it smelled like her perfume. Her scarves...a pillow. I wish I had a recording of her voice, but no luck.

@Birdie: Oh, ouch. I rely on Amazon for a lot of stuff..and I get amazing deals on there pretty frequently. The event for me is nice just because people are talking, otherwise I don't want any of the items. I do appreciate that people worked hard on them, though.

weirdest thing I have of my grandma is her lipstick. it just reminds me so much of her because of the way she used it. it'd make this giant curve. and I'd always see her putting it on. idk. So, I asked for that.

I go through the fiancé for anything techy. especially cables. he works for fry's electronics so its a huge discount for things like cables, tis, and adapters.

I'd give up everything I own if I could just have him back.

The smells I associate with my grandpa are cigarette smoke, clean linen, coffee and cinnamon.
