I was kind of thinking of letting my lil one and our dog pose in our overgrown in bad need of being mowed yard..lol Its covered in wild queen anns lace flowers that come u to my thighs I think its pretty the landlord not so much. >.< And overgrown grass and puppies and babies make me think of spring. >.<
---------- Post added 05-26-2012 at 12:02 AM ----------
my issue is finding stuff to make a craft out of...lol I really want to do that one as well. I like to make things out of nature for a friends halloween costume I made her a headband out of turning leaves and a staff painted t look like the leaves with a cascade of them flowing from the top of the staff she was a woodlyn fairy . :)

Notes: Probably the only trees in bloom at this place, the colors of the flowers reminded me of spring for some reason. <3 Very rare to find these around here. Other than palm trees. D:
Well here's one of mine!!

That sounds pretty Ivvy  I love faeries. Obviously. Lol.
And I've just picked up pebbles to make a mosaic before, glued em all to cork board to make little coasters. :)
Yah, I go all crazy in the spring making TONS of salads and fresh things like that for supper, which TOTALLY count in the contest. And yeah, if you have something crafty that you made, and you are questioning whether or not you can enter it, PM me :D
And Asca, are those....lilacs?! Ahhhh, one of my favorite blooms!

Thanks for the submission, Ascadellia! Those flowers are so pretty. :)
Ivvy - Ooh, Queen Anne's Lace is so pretty! I look forward to seeing your picture. :)
Your crafts sound neat! I bet you could come up with a springy version of those things, or something similar. :)

would my farm fresh burger count? It a burger with cheese and mushrooms and onions cooked inside of it kind of like a pie filling with lettus tomato and fresh mushrooms on top and a soft cooked egg.. i make them in spring and summer with fresh herbs and such. Its a food that means spring to me >.< Is that odd. ?

 mmmm. No, that'd totally count, cause I wants one! Yah! I mean, it's the start of the grilling season! I am down with that.
I've never had an egg on top of a burger. I feel like that needs to change. Especially since we have chickens. Eggs aren't too far from the grill at any given time. ;)

ohh its so awesome! You take two beef patties seasoned up good for me its sage and rosemary fresh with cracked black pepper and a pinch of sea salt now on the one patty put cubed cheese of your choice, sliced mushrooms, onion then take second patty and put it on top and kneed the edges together to make it like a pie. You cook it on the grill or grittle once you flip it cover it with a metal bowl so it steams the meat through and melts and cooks all the stuff on the inside. The you put it on seaeme seed bun with dressing of choice, the lay the soft fried egg on top and load it with salad fiings then you can dig in if you cut it first it looks so amazing on the inside all ooey and textured its awesome. And they taste so freaking good. >.<

Hmm, my morninstar burgers are so thin, they never quite make a full meal. Clearly I need to be having an egg on top of them!

Aww, mosquito bites suck. :( I heard putting tape over them helps them not itch. Depriving the area of oxygen supposedly helps.

Nice wreath Silverbeam :D :D Totally worth the bug bites!
And I've always 'x'ed them out with a finger nail, just putting enough pressure to make a mark.
And thanks Ivvy! I will have to try that then. I can imagine that the stuffed burger would work awesome with pineapple or something else too :D
And I love morningstar patties. Have you had the blackbean ones?? Slightly burnt from the grill with salsa and cheese

Notes: Spring around here means it's time to get out the shears and spades, and tend to the yard. These are from my cutting garden.

We've got some nice allium in the yard too. They popped up a week or so ago. Along with the irises and the peonies. :D
