Ambroise looked at her questioningly for a moment and rubbed his eyes again. His ears twitched and he seemed just a little more awake now. He had just shrugged in answer to her question. He sat there patiently as she filled a bowl for him, and when she set it in front of him, he just stared at it for a few moments. Ambroise inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of the stew then he picked up the bowl and began to eat. His tails began to move gently behind him, flicking in contentment as he enjoyed the stew with half closed eyes. He was enjoying and savoring the meal.

"You seem to be enjoying it." She remarked thoughtfully. Leah was watching him a moment and watched how he was savoring the simple stew. Yes it was good but it was hardly as wonderful as he seemed to think. Just what had he been fed before? Or had it just been so long since he'd had anything actually made and not just something like dried fish or similar that you can throw in front of him and not do any effort? It would make sense if to her if his former masters never really fed him anything that required effort but would make special foods for themselves... they seemed like that kind of people.
She turned to gaze up at the sky in thought. It was growing dark but inwardly she was frowning. He really knew very little about things outside of the tower didn't he? She nearly sighed as she thought about it. It was too dangerous to leave him with anyone else, that much was clear. They wouldn't know what to do with him... Hell she didn't either really but she would be sensitive to how long he was vulnerable in ways only something with a predator inside them could be....

Ambroise blinked at Leah. "Is delicious." He managed to say with a mouthful of stew, he also managed not to spill any of it out of his mouth as well. He swallowed it and continued eating. It was so very delicious. Ambroise's master had fed him well enough, usually it was just canned meats though. Still the nekomata hadn't minded too much because often it was fish and fish was Ambroise's favorite food. This stew though was a close second. It was so very delicious. His tails twitched and flicked contently behind him, and though he had napped while she was hunting and cooking, Ambroise was still rather tired. He finished his stew off quickly and set the bowl down before he returned to the tent. Curling up and falling asleep almost instantly.

Leah half smiled at the compliments but was still unsure about what he received. She let him head for the tent without a word and she briefly wondered how long he had been chained to that wall. She sighed and finished her own stew and the last few bites of left overs simply to get it done with. She cleaned and put away everything then but let the fire stay in case the neko grew cold. She did, however, cast a spell so it became the color of the darkness around them and offered no light to attract unwanted attention. A few more protection spells later and she crawled into the tent as well. Fighting with him had been more of a strain then he realized due to her having to control her beast, but she would never let him know that. She slept as far from him as she could, her body warmth seeming to increase the higher the moon was in the sky. She shuddered, a little uncomfortable from the fire she'd left burning for his sake but did not wake. She was use to the pain of even a crescent moon, let alone a full, so this was nothing.

Ambroise slept blissfully for a long while, though something caused him to wake in the middle of the night. For a few moments he wasn't sure why he had woken up at all, blinking and rubbing his eyes he yawned. It was warm, probably because of the fire, though, Leah seemed to be exuding a lot of warmth from her own body. His brow furrowed slightly as he looked over at her, he reached out but didn't touch her, he just let his hand hover a few inches from her skin.
She was warm. Maybe the fire was too hot for her? Ambroise was getting a little too warm. Silently the nekomata crept out of the tent and to the fire. He put it out as quietly as possible, made sure it was out and then crept back into the tent. It probably really wasn't cool enough for a fire anyway. His two tails wrapped around his waist lightly and he laid a little bit closer to her. Falling asleep rather quickly.
Most likely though, he would end up snuggling against her at some point during the night.

She shivered as he placed his hand even near her, whispering a man's name before falling silent. There was so much emotion in the simple word... Love, Loss, Grief, Guilt. It also held so much passion it would not seem like it could be the voice of the Leah that he knew. Then again it likely wasn't who she was now, but the leah before she closed off all her emotion and the ability to be touched. It was almost tragic to listen to, as if she was calling for the man in her sleep but knew she never could hear an answer.
Her body temperature would lower slowly but she still was warm as a fire herself simply because what she was. It was one of the weaknesses of what she was, she got too hot too easily. Being a desert creature saved her from fire and gave her own inner fire but there was a price to that. That unending heat would likely draw him close once the night grew to its coldest point. Again she would whisper that name... the name of the only man she had ever loved and did not wake, as if unconsciously desiring to be embraced by the man she called for so much that any pair of arms was irresistible.
In the morning, however, as the sun rose and she awoke her emotion would be thrown into a box and she was none to happy to find unknown arms around her. She pushed him away instantly with a growl. She then pushed herself upwards to pull out of the make shift bed and keep from hurting him. She slowly grew control of herself and looked away, if he was awake she would speak but only one simple sentence.
"Don't. Ever. Touch. Me"
