do you think i should? i had a mime... but i was admittedly intimidated by Miro's and went and looked up old black and white silent films.... saw phantom of the opera... i think you can guess where im going. my mime though was a little audry hepburn ish and was a lot of fun to make.

Hmm it's up to you, but second guessing yourself is dangerous imo. Have you already made the second one? If not maybe make it and it might tell you that way which way to go. :) *doesn't want to give bad advice*

The best thing you can do is make another and see which one you like more. ;)

back to the original discussion..... i made it... and i like it... but i like the mime one better. i also thought at the time though that the mime one was creative and unique. i thought i had a great idea that no one else would have... then i saw Miro's outfit and got scared. i dont think i can make a mime better then Miro and they will be compared since its for the same round. so i figured i should change mine. and i like the phantom of the opera outfit i made... i just feel it pales in comparison and is kinda a copt out as i am cos playing as opposed to creating something of my own as inspired by a bunch of things.

phantom of the opera one:

story:

Mime one:

I wanted it to look like Audrey Hepburn dressed as a mime. I dont think she was ever a mime in a movie, but I always though she had class in black and white films. She is my favorite film star from the black and white era and mimes are not only black and white, but silent. The silver frame in the background and the hearts hairpin are to give the impression of France and the item choices for the actual avatar are to give the impression of a mime with class and style. The eyes are done so that it looks like she has make up over her eyes when her eyes are closed.

Oh Gosh don't make Nephy chose *closes eyes*

The Phantom? I love the musical version of it. However I like the contrast in the Mime a bit better. So maybe the mime? I'm no help. AT ALL.

ok, but did you see Miro's mime? which mime would you pick? or should i try to give the phantom more contrast?

I love the Phantoms pants! Though the indoor patio thingy it odd.

Of course I can't say which I might prefer or what I think needs changing, but BSW, if you're using the mime, be prepared to show where mimes have been in silent films (or a good reason as to why you're choosing that, if they haven't been). None come to mind for me, but I'm hardly an expert on silent films, I haven't seen so much as one.

If I had based my avatar from a character of a movie, I would've gone with Metropolis. I want to see that move. <3

Anyways, BSW:
I DEFINITELY like the second phantom better. The pants look good with the avatar, and I like that avatar better than the mime. But I like the mime's background better. But backgrounds are so hard in this contest, because it almost needs a reason. XD
Maybe the stone background would be better without the forest behind it?

one of my friends moved just slightly out of city limits and it took them 2 weeks to get down there and get her connected.

Well I'm in the city - and the guy is suppose to come the morning of the 3rd - but I never truly trust those guys.

True... 10 am often changes to 3 or later. But as long as your in the city it should be to hard to get access to tha interwebs. :)
