And I am stressing about getting the very basics of the melody for my music composition that I have to have a rough draft at least done by today and getting the final measures for it, is like pulling teeth - ugh! >.< at least I figured out how to convert to a pdf file so I can print it - so that's good at least. :)

I am trying not to - now to just harmonize my melody and I'll be good. =] She didn't have much more to tell me to change other than things I already knew that I should do. Haha! So it's all good. =]

and nemo, that sounds so cool, creating a melody :O I could never think of anything like that. I'm not musically inclined in the least and I don't know anything about it. The fact that you do, makes you so awesome :O

zephi: It is crazy hard and I wouldn't have been able to do it without the program on my computer I've been using that actually will play it back to me, so I can actually hear it as I am composing it =] I have been putting off harmonizing it because harmonizing honestly scares me and confuses me, but apparently it shouldn't be hard. I just need to play around. But it's super simple, and at least it is in the correct key that she wanted me to do it in. Some of my classmates were doing it in the wrong key, and I was freaked that I was too. But I guess it just goes to show, stop second guessing myself, because the only things she wanted me to add/change were things that I had already made notes to myself to remind myself to do.

I kept telling my mum that I was stressed about doing it and her response "I know that you can do it! You used to compose on the piano when you were 4 and 5." But muuuum, those weren't in any particular key or having to be written down. Those were all just recorded on tapes, but I am appreciative of her confidence. :)

Man am I bushed.
I didn't get any sleep last night.

We spent most of the evening in the emergency room.

Hubby had spent all day smoking ribs, and he was preparing the potatoes to fry them. He got careless, and sliced the tip of his finger right off in the mandolin.

So much for the ribs.
I'm going to microwave them for dinner today.
He's pretty hopped up on pain pills...

Man did it ever bleed! They had to cauterize it.

Oh no!! Your poor hubby! He's just having the most rotten luck lately.

He's just so angry with himself...

It really screws up his cooking plans for Christmas too.
We have company coming.


It will be a full 6 weeks before it's healed.

Poor guy. I say just have the guests help cook!

So I finished my NaNo Novel at 108k, and I have done some cross stitch work - but I'm procrastinating on my homework. *lol*

I've done all that yellow since 8 pm last night. :) And the reason it's square is that is the edge of the piece. =]

I love to do needlepoint.

I've done some cross-stitch, but I decided I like needlepoint better for some reason...I think it was easier for me to do.

I've been doing my math work and science work at the last minute this whole time. All 5 weeks I have been turning things in as they became due. I wish I could get ahead of the game a little but I just don't feel like I have the time, or the desire.

That's what I have been doing instead of studying. I really do wanna get the purple done before I head back to school. :P

Yeah... okay... so starting next week I will really "try" to do the work before it's completely DUE. =.= Promise. I'm at the end of week 5, going into week 6, then there's only 3 more weeks left. Thank goodness.
