I just remember so many things said to me growing up because they didn't care about saying whatever horrible thing popped into their minds when they were drunk or angry. Sometimes it felt like they said them sometimes because they were bored! Those things scar a person.

And it's hard to tell yourself it's not true when it's your family that says it. Your family is supposed to love you and tell you things only if they are true. At least, that is what I always believed.

I somewhat know what you mean. My grandmother would sometimes call me names and say mean things to me when I was younger.
