Exactly! Its much easier being able to think about what to say and then typing it rather than having to quickly say it without thinking. I'm always worried I'm going to say something stupid which is why I don't talk much in real life.

Also being brought up in school by the rule "don't speak until you are spoken to" or how you are told to be quiet in class is another thing that you kind of just take into your personality. I found that with me anyway.

I just prefer anime/unreal prettiness. Real life have too many 'ugly' facts. Like freckles, zits, scars, pimples...

I was taught this way too.
But I think the reason of me not prefer to talk face to face with people would be shyness and embarassment. I feel embarass for any tiny witty mistake.
