My Specimen: A Fairy's Home

Sideways Jar, With username, Design of it, Fairy's Haven.
Description & Observations: These two terrarium's are a pair, so I don't consider them as two separate entries, but if you do that's fine. They aren't huge or extravagant, just small and cute. There is moss, vines, and flowery plants blooming inside of two mason jars. When I look at these I see a little hide away for tiny fairies. I think its cute. 8D I could imagine tiny little homes carved into the moss and protected by the leaves of the plants. <3

Description & Observations: The plants of Duval come in such a wide variety that I just didn't know what to depict. But I finally put something together and managed to 'paint' what I observed. The large red flower radiates with a sweet smell that overtakes the entire vase while the bright yellow flowers seems to glow and put off a light of its very own, reminds me a lot of Nalin.. Those purple flowers cling to the other plants for support and climb their way up slowly while the green vine with the golden flower creeps into crevices quickly. A tiny frog seemed to enjoy the flowers and stayed on top of the vase the entire time I was 'painting'. How cute. <3

Shy venus
Description & Observations: This is the beautiful shy venus. It is an uncommon flower that is a breed of Venus Flytraps. It lives in sandbanks near lakes and rivers. Shy Venus got it's name from it's droopy head and petals that it seems to use to hide it's self from prying eyes. When it's pray lands on it though, it perks up and snaps it up in the blink of an eye, then goes back to looking like a shy little flower. It mainly eats light bugs, flies, butterflies, and bees.

Rainbow Yelper
Description & Observations: This is the rare Rainbow Yelper. It is a fascinating and very annoying plant. It's not called a "rainbow Yelper" for nothing. Like it names says, it yelps. Really, really loudly. None stop. And I ask you resist the urge to chop it's heads off, because it will just grow back those heads and additional two more. The only good thing about this plant though, is that it emits a very pretty smell which people like to make into perfume. Most just want to stomp and rip it up until it's dead though. That's why it's kinda very rare and have been relocated far, far away from civilization so no one has to hear it's dreaded cries. Only few who are insane enough to make perfume from them go to the little island they moved them to.

Description & Observations: A topiary in the shape of the white rabbit from alice in wonderland inside a terrarium ornament. Completely with a pocket watch and steampunk queen of hearts playing card.

Vickyll3: The goal in making a model (craft entry) would be that it is something you could ultimately leave with Duval for their catalogue display.. I think you might need to keep your fingernails with you, though? *sheepish smile* Sorry!

Description & Observations: this sweet little star shaped flower has an intoxicating scent. each petal is tipped with red ends and seems to be covered in a soft fur like substance, the back of the flower is covered in a dark green leafy leaves it is quite beautiful for being so small

Description & Observations: these soft delicate roses represent the lovely flowers that I have seen growing around my house, hard to tell which is more fragile sometimes, paper or petal

For the fingernail one, aren't there fake fingernails that people put on? Maybe decorate those, and put those on exhibit in Duval without having to remove their actual fingernails? :o
