Wolfie has troubles, just like everyone else.Too much work, too many chores,no money and not enough time. But one problem Wolfie has is sort of...strange.

Empathizing with inanimate objects.

It started so long ago,Wolfie doesn't remember how old she was.It started because of a stuffed dinosaur Wolfie had as a child. It had a squeaky ball in it's belly,so when you squeezed it,it made the most pathetic squeaking sound.Wolfie remembers squeezing it one day and, just like that, feeling absolutely horrible! Wolfie felt so bad for the dinosaur, almost like it was begging for Wolfie to stop,so Wolfie decided to take good care of it and never ever squeeze it's belly again.

This kind of thing has been happening ever since. That was the first time, but now it happens all the time.Once recently Wolfie was using a hose that kind of convulsed when it was turned on,and Wolfie could only think that it looked like it was throwing up. Wolfie's family makes fun of her terrible for it,so Wolfie tries to hide it,but that doesn't always work. It's especially bad with Wolfie's stuffed animals.Wolfie thinks of them as alive, and can't stand to see them hurt.

Wolfie wonders if anyone else has this kind of problem? Wolfie thinks she can't be the only one.Right? It's gotten to the point now where Wolfie won't kill bugs anymore, because she thinks they are pleading with her for their lives.Okay so bugs are alive, but it never mattered before. Is there something wrong with Wolfie?

Does treating my computer like a rebellious teenager instead of an inanimate object count?

I don't see anything wrong with that, if anything, I'm like you. The only things I ever kill anymore these days are ants, mosquitoes, cockroaches, and the occasional other. Mosquitoes and roaches because I hate them and the roaches are everywhere in my house no matter what we do to get rid of them. Ants because they're biting me.

I also talk to my stuff sometimes. Like I have a monster skull made out of metal that I named Raire and talk to or give a fond pat to, my figurines of characters from various series, and other things depending on my mood. If my shower hose goes out of control and whips around with the water spraying out I'd tell it to stop it and behave. I almost never throw anything out because I don't want to see them destroyed or gone, especially the things that I've known (had) for a long time.

I've been like this for almost forever.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I think it's actually cute you do that, wolfie. A lot of people feel that way, but maybe not completely like what you do.

I can relate to the stuffed animal thing. We barely have any room for my stuffed animals and they get laid on, put in a box, fall on the floor, ect. It makes me feel bad and like a horrible stuffed animal owner.

You not wanting to hurt anything I think it just means your sympathetic and care for what others feel. Perhaps a little sensitive when it comes to stuffies and bugs. But that's not really a problem in my eyes.

Dan: I talk to my stuffed animals too xD And tell objects to stop it. hehe

I don't kill ants... I play with them and then let them go...

@ Ant - Ahaha the infamous "telling inanimate objects to stop" I think everyone has done that

I talk to my computer. When it messes up I get mad at it. But it knows I love it. It knows.

Sad that I can imagine that so well momo... I've seen people act like that...

But honestly... I judge a parent by how they treat their electronics... so if they comfort and clean and care for their computer and talk to it gently and are stern when needed... I'd say they'd be getting a lot of valuable practice

*sigh* Wolfie is so glad she's not the only one! Wolfie tells random things to "Shh!" all the time, lol.Especially the refrigerator and the toilet. And Wolfie yells at electronics. But she always apologizes afterwards!

I death glare in the direction of my fridge if it starts going shhhhhh (water refilling)

I think it's adorable that you apologize to your electronics >w<
I don't... I just figure it knows I'll do it again if it doesn't behave...

Sometimes I hit something accidentally with my arms or elbows or another part of my body and would be all, "Oh shit, sorry! " at them.

i used to be like that with my stuffed animals! if one of them fell of the bed at night i'd feel really bad cause they were laying on the floor all night, and might think i loved them less then the other animals. xD

Well even though I have like 2 stuffed animal from my previous surgery I don't care for them like you all but I do talk to a lot of non living objects. My computer, items falling out, misbehaving toaster, oven, or microwave. This morning I yelled at an ice cube that fell to the floor. I hate having to do much movement in the morning so I did not like to have to bend over to pick it up lol!

I also teach my sister how to take care of her toys so they don't get ruined. I tell her she has to put her toys back in their proper places so they can go to bed at night or if we have to go somewhere she has to make sure they don't get in trouble while we are away. >.> Truthfully that's how I always treat my things everything has to be in place or they will wander away from me lol!

My computer I treat as a real person I give it a cleaning out once every other day, feed it upgrades, play games with it, and let it sleep. Hahaha yeah I know it sound weird but I can't help myself!

I do that all the time, there's nothing wrong with it and you certainly don't need therapy. I even drew a face on my xbox ha

lol that's so cool! Wolfie is always looking out for the stuffed animals.Like, when Wolfie's siblings are playing rough with one of their toys,Wolfie yells "Stop, you're gonna hurt it!"
Wolfie's phone and DS get the worst of it.Wolfie gets so upset with them and throws them, then rushes to pick them up saying "Oh so sorry so sorry!!!"

I bet you probably relate with children really well.
I know some parents now will say "No don't hurt the wall" and such as if things were alive to help the kinds understand what not to do.

Wolfie is 21 years old, looks 16 and acts 12.Wolfie definitely knows how to communicate with children-especially since she has four younger siblings! She taught her siblings respect for nature by telling them when they tore apart a plant "Now,how would you like it if someone ripped your hair out,or pulled off your fingers?" And they always understood. Not a one of them will be seen hurting plants or animals now! Wolfie just never grew up,she guesses.

Well that's pretty harsh way to do it, but I'm sure they got the picture pretty fast XD

If wolfie grows up, keep your inner child close at heart :)
Don't grow up completely.

Wolfie will never grow up completely! When Wolfie is 80 years old,she will be having wheelchair races with her BFF and pulling pranks on the nurses at her nursing home!
Perhaps it was a bit harsh, but it got the point across. That's how Wolfie always thought of it.There it is again: Empathizing with inanimate objects.

HAHA... you'll be one of THOSE... XD Oh those people are still just enjoying life.

Well plants and animals are living things so it's understandable. An animal more notably so, but a plant, it breaths, it drinks, it eats (sorta), and it lives.

I will tell inanimate objects what to do sometimes, if that counts. I will ground my brush for pulling my hair, put my flat iron in time out for burning me, and I apologize to chairs when I run into them. I've also yelled at my computer several times because I think it hates me. It's something I see as normal, my family thinks I am insane for it but I guess I am just the oddball kid in the family.

According to my family it's not.
"Kyl, it's just a chair. It doesn't have feelings."
Okay, so? I don't want to be rude.

Well at least you're in the habit so if you bump into someone outside you respond right? I hate when someone bumps into me without a care

Especially with my giant "don't touch me" bubble @_@
