I've tried, but the language is hard to learn. I am just glad I can pay on my student loans. I hate the idea of having them for another 8 years. On a ten year plan to pay them off.

I will have been here for about two years come August... and am renewing until the following August... after that I was thinking of staying to finish the Korean school which ends in February and be done. But to leave in a year and 3.5 months...

I needed a job... it was a job... also I prayed God would just give me a job because I am horrible at interviews. I freeze up at them. So one day I got a phonecall saying I was hired and needed a passport. I was like, "Wait, what? Who are you and where am I going?" He answered, "South Korea." It is a good place and I like my school. I just miss the USA.

But how exactly did you get the job?

Well... I stopped by my college after the summer to talk with my professors about how I had not gotten a job yet... when a lady who was the new head chair of the department asked if she could give my name and number to her former boss... who called me with the offer... education is a small world evidently. He had connections with several schools in South Korea because they were trading teachers and kids between the schools in Korea with the ones he was helping with in Washington State. Sorta like a foreign exchange problem... accept Korean students in the US and send US teachers to Korea...

Thanks. I'm thinking of looking in Ann Arbor. My cousin is going to have a house there, and hoping if I get a job up there she'll let me rent from her. Though I'm avoiding working at the schools like the plague as they are thinking of doing lay offs.

That doesn't surprise me... education has been having problems just funding basic school costs... employees is the biggest expense and most try to cut there first.
