Yeah it's like what they keep doing for X-men. Same basic story with some twists.

I wish they'd come out with like a pokedex for all the different species. In one of the episode of TNG it was said that over 150 world enjoy member ship in the federation. I've always wondered how many were different races and how many if any were just human(or any of the founding members) colony's. Because if they're all different cultures we've only meet like 1/3rd of them.

If they don't have one already, I'm totally surprised. There is such a crazy fanbase that I would have thought they'd have made something like that by now XDD

Exactly. It really was brilliant. THey could use what they wanted, change what they wanted. And then the fans that were all like, "It's not the same as the original! I hate it" they can throw it back and say, "It's not supposed to be the same. Haven't you paid attention?" XD

And I find it adorable that Neph and Maria both joined the thread like "Star Trek... someone said it... was it you? Where is the Star Trek?!"

I'm sure there is something out there like that. and it would be so helpful for me because i'm still really dumb when it comes to the facts of it.

lol that was what i had the first four days of the week. then it was sore throat with runny nose.. then over heated throat and runny nose.. NOW i just.. i hope anywyas.. have a runny nose..

It's a great show! I used to idolize Picard as a kid but kind of fell out of the fandom after the borg...ing he received. I was a bit young for it and it scared me. D:

i was sick in the beginning of the summer, and i'm really hoping i don't get sick again with everyone else being sick around me.

I used to watch it with my dad. My mom would volunteer at a hospital in the evenings after I went to bed. So when she left, I would sneak downstairs and sit on my dad's lap and watch Star Trek for an hour XDDD

It's the only good memory I have of him to be honest XDDD

But yeah - show could be scary sometimes D:

Very scary. I still have a few mental images from that episode! Poor Picard. I'll love Patrick Stewart forever, though... more so now that I know what an awesome guy he is outside of his character, but still!

runny noses suck :( especially when the snot moves to your ears too and you get that annoying squish sound you swallow.
i always try to have a packet of tissues in my back pocket when i have a runny nose.

Meh I think what most of the old fandom members are actually against is the new type of fan that has come into it. The "OMG SPIRK(Kirk/spork shippers) IS TEH SEXORS! I LUB CUCUMBERBUNCH I R MARRY HIMS NAO! I CAN DO ZAT!" And that most of them came just to watch the Sherlock actor and don't actually give a fuck about the any of the series. Sure it's been great that some of them have went back and started watching the old series so the can pretend like they've always loved it. I personally have never got in the original (SACRILEGE?!) Though I've watched it many times I've always had in the back of my head...Why am I really doing this? Do I really need to belong to a group of judgey old guys? I'm a DS9/TNG Girl all the way! FUCK I'd would actually take episodes of enterprise over the original. The Mirror episodes (those are always good)

Yes, it's been great to have new blood into the franchise. And if some of those people actually like the original more power to them. (I'm talking series not movies the movies were WAY better than the series was) The actors are all very talented and the second reboot movie was well done all around. It's just that you used to be able to have an intellectual conversation about Exo-politics and the possibility of that future with out some attention seeking nutcases randomly yelling "SPOCK AND KIRK FOEVAH BIOTCH!!!!"...in their gender-bent kirk and spock binkis.
