Werewolves and Vampires have been fighting and killing each other for nearly 1000 years in the Carpathian Mountains. And people don't believe that they exist, but exist they do and they are trying to kill each other. But the Gods have decided to intervene, the Maiden Werewolf Goddess and an Ancient Vampire God have been set to marry and they shall descend upon the realm of Earth and rule over their people in peace. The Old Ones have spoken and so it shall be, now let us begin and tell you a bit about these two.

Bio: Being the eldest child of the Vampiric Old Ones he had lived only a fraction of their lives but has learn so much in his own. Having once been a snot nosed brat of a God drunk on power he had ushered along many mortals deaths, but he was taken well in hand. His parents raised him to be their successor, to deal with just about any and everything that they could foresee and then let him teach his younger siblings. He was also the teacher of all the Vampiric God children, and the one that they went to when things went wrong. He isn't really too sure on his feelings about his impending nuptials.

Deitric sighed softly as he walked through the gardens that rang with childish laughter. His nieces and nephews played happily tagged each other and ran around in circles without ceasing. He was exhausted from working for a week straight with no rest, and now this. He was being commanded to marry the Maiden and he was not happy about it. How could they do this to him, he was the one who took care of everything around here, and now they decided that that was not enough, he had to marry as well. A young Goddess at that, and a Werewolf, all for the sake of humanity. He wasn't sure whether he really wanted the responsibility or not, of caring for humanity on Earth and having to take a wife. One was enough by itself, but now he was sure that he was being punished for his past transgressions and couldn't help but wonder what his bride would be like.

Bio: Aelida Artemis is named after her mother Artemis and her grandmother Aelita. She has a good heart for someone who wasn't allowed to leave the palace under any circumstances, she was trained by her father, the Wolfic God, Lyca. Lyca was over-protective and controlling of Aelida, so she would not know of the life of a normal girl like herself. Told to never always attack someone who seems out of character, Aelida Artemis began training hard with her elder brothers. Being the youngest wolf in the family wasn't easy since she was the only girl and she had to make up a lot due to her size, but her mother and father are very proud of their daughter. Aelida Artemis has become a strong and beautiful wolf.

Aelida Artemis rode in on a carriage by herself, she was suppose to know this place on her known without her mother or father's help. A light sigh escaped her lips as she slowly swayed her black with a white tipped tail around in little circles. She remained silent as the carriage drove closer and closer to the palace of the elder vampire she was suppose to marry. She made a face in hatred as the idea of her marrying someone who was centuries older than you, well then again her mother did say that you should always give someone a chance, even if you don't like them. Aelida closed her dark purple eyes as a smile appeared on her face, thinking of what the vampire will look like, the carriage pulled up in front of the gate and it opened. It drove in slowly as a sort of announcement went out to say that she had arrived.

Deitric heard his butler announce the Maiden and he felt another sigh well up in him, though he did not allow it to escape. Aelida. Atremis, a nice name; she was now here, no way of avoiding the issue now. He inhaled deeply and then walked to the front hall, his servants were rushing to move her things to his suite. He saw her and paused for the briefest of moments before continuing towards her, he towered over her by at least a head, and once he reached an appropriate distance away, he bowed deeply. In a deep yet soft and low voice he said, "Welcome Lady Aelida Artemis to my humble abode... I am Deitric, your betrothed. I on behalf of my entire family, welcome you. You will reside in my room and the wedding shall take place in a week, the housekeeper, Emi is waiting for your instructions as to the decoration colors and arrangement, everything else has already been handled by our parents." He looked up at her and noticed that her eyes were purple, his own red eyes glowed for a few seconds before settling.

He then clasped his hands behind his back and waited for her response; but then there was never a peaceful moment, he heard the children before he saw them and he waved a hand in front of him that created and invisible box, which they all ran straight into and were trapped. He sighed and rubbed his temples before turning a stern eye to the playful lot. "Each of you go find your parents and get cleaned up for supper. My bride is here and I shall not have you all acting like uncouth ruffians." He waved his hand again and the box dissovled, letting them run wild and free shouting and whooping up the stairs to create more havoc. He was beginning to wonder if life was really just unfair.

Aelida Artemis stayed in the carriage until someone opened the door and led her inside the palace. She smiled softly looking around, seeing the beauty of the gardens as she entered the palace into the grand hall. She looked around at the hall seeing the large windows and the lovely marble floors. She turned her head seeing the servants were bringing in her things into the palace and Aelida saw him, the one she was going to marry. She looked him, she had to admit he was cute. A soft smile as she grabbed the ends of her plaid purple, white and dark purple shirt and did a curtsy. Her eyes wiggled lightly as he head him speak, Aelida blinked seeing that she was short compared to him and some of the family members, a light sigh escaped her lips before she heard him speak. Her mocha cheeks turned a light shade of pink hearing his voice, it was really cute. Aelida smiled softly and bowed her head slowly only to blush a little more hearing that she was going to share the same room, she cleared her throat a little and opened her mouth to speak in a sincere and gentle voice, "Thank you Sir Deitric, I already felt welcomed the moment I entered you're beautiful home. As for the decorations I believe it will be best if we could do that together, that is if you don't mind." She looked into Deitric's eyes and saw they were red and glowing, they were a lovely shade of it as well.

Aelida Artemis gasped softly as she heard laughter and tiny stomping feet. Her tail bushed lightly as her ears shot up, only to see the children. She smiled softly watching them and giggled softly seeing them run into something Deitric created and told them to get ready. "I believe I will find myself at home quickly then, this home of yours is lively." Aelida Artemis said with a soft smile and slowly started to walk forward, her black strapped boots make clacking sounds on the floor as she looked around.

"I'm sorry my dear, I am going to be working whenever I have free time. You'll have to do it by yourself, but my sisters any of them I'm sure would be more than happy to help. You should tell Cook what you would like for dinner... If you will excuse me I shall see to some things and see you again at dinner." Having said this he whisked out of the room and down one of the many hallways, making turns and twists that would have confused any who was not used to the castle. He sighed and rubbed his temples again, he had a mountain of work to get done before he attended to anything else. Treaties, laws and complaints littered both his desk and the floor surrounding it. He nearly groaned but managed to contain himsef. This was going to take all the freetime he had before dinner, and that didn't make him happy. He knew that he would have to choose a couple of his siblings to preside over each individual section of paperwork, he didn't relish the thought. Aelida was not what he had expected, but she was young yet... she would grow into her looks as she got older. Frankly he wasn't at all attracted to her, he didn't feel much of anything for anyone not of his family so he couldn't say it was a surprise. Hopefully he would be able to adjust to living with her, he didn't want this to be difficult and the last thing he wanted to do before his wedding was alienate his bride.

As he worked he had a servant keep him a steady flow of fresh blood, he needed it to keep his energy and temperment up. Finally about 15 minutes before dinner was to be served he finished his work, there was no time to change. He snapped his fingers and his clothes were changed to a long sleeved black shirt, and comfortable black slacks. Low heeled black calf boots made no noise on the marble floors as he made his way to the dining hall, a servant opened the door for him and when he entered he saw that his family had decided to behave themselves. The children were all seated on one side while the couples were seated on the other. Two sisters, Ophelia, Harleigh and two brothers, Lucius and Mallen. Their respective spouses, Morgan, Uldrid, Bess and Noel. Each couple had 2 children... they were too young to have been given a name of power yet, but had chosen names for them selves. Princess and June belonged to Lucius; Kila and Faren to Ophelia; Gregory and Heather to Harleigh; Mat and Nyx to Mallen. They were all curious about Aelida, he could tell from the fact that there was ORDER in the hall for Chaos' sake.

"Good evening everyone, I hope that everyone is comfortable and I announce that dinner is served." He assumed his seat at the head of the table and saluted his fiance before letting himself begin to enjoy his meal.

Aelida Artemis's ears pointed down slowly as she listened to Deitric speak, saying that he was going to be working on his free time. She bowed her head, as if to say she understand what he was saying. She followed the servants to the Deitric's room to see what it looked like. Aelida Artemtis looked around at the beauty of the room, it was true a work of art and it was almost like home. She started to go through her bags and look for something more form fitting since she wanted to make a first impression, even those it was a little hard for her to marry someone she didn't love. She believed that marriage was suppose to be about love and happiness, she knew this marriage was only going to be built of trust and making sure that things were going ok between the vampires and werewolves. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she started to get ready for dinner.

Half naked in Deitric's room, she started to get dressed quickly since it was time for her to go downstairs. She put on a short black dress with white joints in the bell part of the dress. Two red bows were tied on the sides of her hips, the black gloved sleeves fit easily on her arms as she slid on her ankle black heels. With a quick flick, Aelida Artemis tied a scarf headband in her hair as she started walking downstairs into the dinning hall. She gasped softly seeing the big family sitting there around the table, she walked to the chair which was closest to Deitric. She mentally sighed him her head walking to the chair and sat down slowly and bowed her head lightly. Aelida Artemis sat there and looked at the food, she looked around to see everyone eat after Deitric said a greeting and started to eat himself. She slowly started to eat her meal, she looked up at the children and their parents, seeing how quickly they managed to behave, making her smile a little.

Even as his family chattered on he was ever aware of the girl sitting next to him. Her aura was entirely different from a Vampires, and she was not like most of the Werewolves that he'd met. Though not all Were-people were as violent he admitted that they were strong warriors and good comrades. She seemed calm and sweet, her aura a shade of green suggesting peace. He had known most Wolves had a ferocious temper always boiling just below the surface, but not her. It made sense, she was the sacrificial lamb, and had probably been trained not to exhibit a temper around others.

"Thank you for the meal, please everyone make my bride feel at home." He then swept from the room again and made his way to the parlor, he had a slight head ache and wished to be alone. In the corner of the golden and blue room, there was a radio set up for his enjoyment, and he preferred listening to classical to sooth him. Though he wasn't sure of this scheme he had to see it through, Aelida was no more to blame for this situation than he.

Aelida Artemis listened to the chatter the family was making as they ate. He was just like it when she was at ho,e with her mother and father and her many brothers. She did have to admit, the vampires were very kind and civilized like Lycans, believed that she will now understand this family a little better, it will be difficult but fun. She watched everyone as she finished her meal.

However, she made a little frown when Deitric had to go. She looked down at the empty plate and looked up at the family, "Does he always prefer to be alone?" She asked in a gently voice wiping her face with a napkin. Aelida Artemis was getting a little bit worried about Deitric's disappearing acts.

[its ok, my brain isnt working either.]

All of his siblings looked at her sympathetically. "Yes..." they all said softly, clearly a sad apology. They knew why, their parents though loving had created a sort of monster when they determined that their first born was to be the kind of God that they thought was appropriate. It wasn't as though he did it to be rude, because he did it unless he was working. Which was most of the time, they only got to see him a couple times a day, but honestly he always made time for them. They weren't sure about how he'd react to having his choice taken away, but they knew he was not upset at Aelida.

Ophelia spoke, "He is acting quite normal... it may be best that when he comes to his chamber tonight to talk to him, he'll listen to everything you say. Forgive him, he was raised to be the Guiding One for us, our parents forced him to be what they wanted when he was very young... and to this day he has yet to disobey them. Give him time to adjust Lida, do you mind if we call you that?"

The children had finished their meals and were chasing each other around and out of the room now, and each set of parents bid Aelida good night, each woman gave her a kiss on the cheek and the men gave her hugs.

Meanwhile...

Detiric was unwinding with spiked blood and Beethovon's Symphony #9, lazily going through paperwork and revisions of documents. Such a tedious and demanding task wass his least favorite and most time consuming. He intended to clear away some of this crush of work to give him some freetim, he knew he would have to get to know his bride. Tomorrow and after were perfect, just not tonight. He couldn't explain but Aelida was very much a problem, not that he disliked her but he was not sure how to go about becoming her husband; how did one become the man a woman could trust and turn to, the one to ease her fears and share her burdens, the one to keep her happy and safe. He had no idea on how to go about it, but the one fact that made his normally ice-cold temper begn to boil was that their happiness was being sacrificed for the greater good, and that they might not ever fall in love, but simply be companions. He detested that, and more than he wished to spare himself... Aelida was young and had many things to learn, he was old enough to be her father and that bothered him, how could he knowingly take away her youth? He turnd his gaze to the fire place for a few minutes before standing with resolution.

The castle bell struck midnight, his favorite time of night, and he knew he should get his chamber and let the ice blue and black colors sooth his nerves as he talked with her. Damn his caring soul, it would probably get him into many troubles. When he opened the doors he didn't see her, but no matter, he changed into his cotton sleeping pants and crawled under the covers of the massive four poster bed. Hopefully Aelida wouldn't mind talking before they slept.

Aelida Artemis looked at the siblings as they said 'yes' at once. She gasped softly and looked in the direction Deitric walked in. She sighed lightly, her ears slowly pointing down but heard someone speaking. She turned her head and saw that it was one of the females, her ears pointed up and nodded slowly, she felt sorry for him, hearing that he was basically forced into this lifestyle. "I will forgive him, I understand completely. And I will speak to him in his chambers." She said with a soft smile on her face. She giggled softly at the name, "Lida? I like it, its better than my other nicknames." Aelida said with a giggle and stood up. Before she knew it, it was time to go to bed. She hugged each male back and kissed the cheeks of the females.

Aelida slowly started to walk to Deitric's room, she looked around the hallways. She had to think about what Deitric's sibling said about what he does. She started to think, what he going to be like her father? Was he happy with her? She closed her eyes visioning her father and the times she spent with him in order to keep his only daughter safe...making her fight her battles since he wasn't going to be able to fight for her due to his work. She tried to imagine her life with Deitric, just like her father. He didn't really find his true love until he met her mother and that was a real let down to his other wives, Aelida thought told about if she would be happy here, the only wolf in a house full of Vampires...away from her family in order to make sure thinks are ok from the other. But things may change, she might fall in love with him...and that is a big 'might'. Aelida was lost in thought as she looked forward and saw the door to the bedroom cracked. She gasped softly and walked closer to the door, opening it slowly.

Aelida looked in and seen Deitric in his night clothes, she blushed a light pink as she walked in and smiled softly, "Hello my dear, I hope things are well now." She said in a tender voice as she bowed her head lightly. She walked to her things and started to plat her hair into a single braid so it won't tangle, she then started to take off the dress one piece at a time so she can make sure not to lose a part of the dress.

Deitric smiled softly and then reached for the book he'd left on the bedside table, he ran his fingers across the cover and thought for a moment. "Aelida, I don't want to marry you." He said in a gentle voice, then sighed. How could he say what he had to say without sounding like an ogre? 'Tell her exactly what you were thinking earlier...' thought he was skeptical, his inner voice had never failed him in times of need. So he looked at her, and still only saw a girl old enough to be his daughter. "I'm old enough to be your father, and you're young yet. You deserve better, someone closer to your age or someone who will at least try to understand you. I'm set in my ways and very different from people that you'll encounter, and honestly... I don't think I can consummate our marriage. I don't want to take away your innocence, you're far too young for this..." he took a great pause and then flipped back the covers and stalked to the window, and looked up at the blood red moon. He took a deep breath to try and calm his nerves. "I'm not saying that I find anything wrong with you, I'm just saying that I cannot see you as much more than a child at present, and though the marriage will most definetely take place, we will have to work on being partners and supporting each other. I can also admit that I may never fall in love with you, and that is unfair to you. I hope you'll forgive me if I've hurt your feelings, I only wanted to tell you what is on my mind." His gaze had shifted from the moon to the gardens below, and he watched as the flowers danced lazily in the wind and listened to the stream.

He felt terrible for having told her these things, but he couldn't lie to her or leave her in the dark. She had every right to know that her bridegroom wasn't a man she was used to and could possibly hurt her without meaning to.

Aelida Artemis smiled softly as she let her dress fall to the floor and picked to fold it. She started looking for her nightgown when she heard Deitric speak, her brow arched as a smirk appeared on her face. "Understandable." She said looking more into the bag to find the gown. Aelida continued to listen to Deitric as he spoke, saying that he was old enough to be her father and he didn't want to take her innocence away. A soft chuckle escaped her lips when she pulled out a aqua colored night gown with a cupcake on it and had the word 'sweet' under it. Aelida Artemis started to put the gown on, listening to Deitric spoke. She nodded her head lightly even she didn't look at him while she got dressed. She was interested in the older male vampire and his family and she couldn't get out of it. "[COLOR="[purple"]I understand Deitric, I am not what you excepted. I bet you thought I was a lot older, didn't you?[/COLOR]" She giggled softly ironing out the wrinkles with her hand and slowly turned around to face Deitric, watching him go to the window. "Me being young is odd for me as well, to be honest I didn't know you would be as old as they said you were. You look quite young." Aelida said slowly walking to Deitric, she remained silent listening to Deitric talk more. A mental sigh went through Aelida's head, she understood that he was possible that he wasn't going to fall in love with her, after all she was a werewolf.

Turning around, she walked to the bed and sat on the edge, "My innocence is something you do not have to worry about through, it doesn't really exist within me nor do feelings." Aelida said playing with the hem of her dress, keeping her eyes closed. "But I shall thank you for speaking your mind, it is rare that most people do that." She stated softly with a gentle smile on her face.

(Ish cool, I remember how school ish... I get testy like after a couple weeks now... but I didn't wanna bug you :p)

"But it is you see..." Deitric turned and cupped her face in his hands gently looking down at her and searching her eyes intently. "I don't wish to hurt you in anyway, and please don't think that because you're a Werewolf that my feelings are influences by that. I judge people by how they act, not who they were born." He let his hands fall away and then pulled her into a hug. She was smaller than him, and because of that she seemed fragile; he knew that she wasn't but he couldn't help but to think of her like that.

"Aelida I want to be a good husband, I've never been in a relationship and I don't want to screw up something so important. I hope that we can fall in love, because I want you to be that happy with me. If we have children, I want them to be out of love not duty." He picked her up, holding her against his chest so that they were eye to eye, "I promise to try hard for us, okay?" He picked her up under her legs and deposited her on her side of the bed. She looked so small, that was a big reason as to why he felt too big and clumsy to be with her.

She told him that her didn't have to worry about her innocence, but he could not get over that. He smiled a soft smile at her, and kissed her gently before climbing into bed himself, he turned off his lamp and rolled over towards her holding his arms out so that they could fall asleep together. Then he remembered, "Oh I'm sorry, you might have wanted to do something else... I'll wait here for you to get back."

Aelida Artemis blushed lightly as she looked up Deitric as he spoke, she remained silent hearing that he only judged people by they acted and not what they were born by. She hugged him back tightly with a soft smile on her face, "I understand." She said softly, feeling that he was much taller than she expected and it was almost like the human story, 'David and Goliath'. Aelida went quiet again as Deitric started to speak again, she gasped softly hearing that he was hoping they could fall in love and be happy, and if they had kids, he wanted it to be out of love and not duty.

She gasped softly feeling her body lift off the ground as she looked looked into his eyes, she blushed light pink. Aelida nodded her head slowly, "Ok dear, and I will try to do the same." She said feeling her legs lift up and placed on the bed, her side of the bed. Aelida smiled softly as smiled at her and kissed her afterwards getting into bed. She gasped softly and kissed him back, he opened his arms to her and apologized about turning off the light if she had to do something. "Well I do have to do something but it won't take me long." She said getting out of bed and ran to the window opening it a little and leaned out. She looked at the moon smiling as her eyes turned into a light blue color, taking in a deep breath. A loud howl escaped her mouth as it echoed in the night, with in minutes four howls answered back and Aelida closed the window.

She went back to the bed and closed in, "That was fun." She stated curling into Deitric's arms and smiled softly.

He smiled a little and pulled her against him. "What was that about, I don't know Werewolves habits like I should..." he could still hear them, howling amongst themselves and apparently communicating is some way he would never be able to understand. It was good that tonight was clear, because for about a week or so it would rain. He had to go handle some business, out of his little realm here and it would begin to rain when he left. Should he ask her to come with him he wondered? No, not yet. 'I'll let her get used to everything here first, spend some time getting to know her better before I have to leave.'

He gently hummed to himself, a simple melody with no words, helping to put himself to sleep.

When he awoke the next morning, he yawned and stretched before getting out of bed to take his morning shower. When he stepped out he watched Aelida sleep for a few minutes before dressing in a dark blue tank top with white slacks. Leaving his feet bare he padded from the room and informed one of the maids to wait for their mistress to awaken before attempting to enter the room.

The dinning hall was empty except for one of the few pets his nieces and nephews had created. The Vampire children learned how to create life from their own, and it was a useful skill to have, it gave them a familiar that would protect them. This one was Nyx's, her pet was a white snake named Link, and he was apparently searching for warmth as he slithered over to Deitric and began to wind himself around the large male to use him as a heater. Not minding at all Deitric continued on his search, he was looking for the housekeeper, Mrs. Hekler, who was as round as he was big, and not afraid to throw her weight around. She was married to the groundskeeper, who keep the gardens in such good shape as well as everything else on the property.

He managed to find Nyx and give her the snake back, but her couldn't find Mrs. Hekler for the life of him, he wanted to talk to her about Aelida and what he should do. He'd never been in love, but she had, she was. Married for only 1/3 of her life, which was 3,000 to the same person... That had to be love, because he had given people much younger divorces for idiotic things. Who better to ask that the woman who had helped raise him, his surrogate mother usually had the answers and he was pretty sure that she did this time.

Finally he spotted her out in the gardens, but he stopped short, skidding a little against the kitchen floor as he saw Mr. Hekler walk up to her with a single white rose then lean down and kiss her. He turned away at that point so as not to intrude upon their privacy. Looks like that question could wait til later. Now it was time for him to go to his office so that he could get some work done before Aelida woke up and began to demand his attention. "I wonder how today will go?" he asked himself out loud.

Once Aelida had crawled into bed, she blushed a light pink, feeling that she was pulled closer to Deitric. She smiled softly and bowed her head, "We-Well. When I left, my mother, father, and two of my big brothers wanted to make sure that I made it here safety. I was just letting them know that I am fine now." She said softly. She then closed her eyes slowly, her ears lowered lightly. She felt safe in his arms. She knew she wasn't alone or afraid to be here with vampires. They had treated her with respect just like her family...well...let's not get into that. Aelida Artemis had soon fallen into a deep sleep in the arms of her fiancee.

Once morning came, Aelida had been in a nightmare. She was running like she always was and from what...she never knew. She had been having this nightmare for some time and Aelida didn't want to have the nightmare anymore, she wanted to wake up but how could she. She felt trapped, she couldn't see, or hear, or even understand why this was happening. Her eyes widen quickly as she sat up quickly, looking around. Aelida realized she was still in Deitric's home, she sighed heavily and fell back into the bed, blinking slowly as her purple eyes scanned the decorated room. Deitric wasn't here. Well, in the room, he wasn't there and she believed it was a good thing. A quick gasp escaped her lips as she slowly turned her head to her left to see one of the maids had walked in. "Lord Deitric has asked me to make sure you have everything you need to start your day." She said in a gentle voice.

Aelida just started at her, her long black hair still in her braid but her bangs were scattered over her forehead and face. "Right...getting ready." She croaked, she sat up slowly again. But think time she crawled out of the bed stretching, her tail fluffing out. "What would you like to wear Mistress?" She asked walking to the briefcase. Aelida blinked lightly and smiled softly, walking to the mirror and started to take out her hair, "The Chinese dress will do. Thank you, I can take it from here." "Are you sure Mistress?" "Yes." Aelida said softly with a smile on her face. "OK Mistress" The maid said giving a curtsy then left out of room.

Within a few minutes, Aelida Artemis walked out of the bedroom, wearing the Chinese dress her mother and father gave her when they visited China in the human world. Aelida looked up and down the halls, walking slowly thinking about who she was going to talk to until Deitric was done with work. "I hope I didn't sleep in too long, it would be rude of me to not be with the family." Aelida said to herself. Her head swaying lightly behind her. It was brushed well with the pink flower pin in her hair. After a while, Aelida looked around and saw a door she could walk out into a certain part of the gardens. A smile spread on her face as she opened the door and stepped onto the small porch to see the roses and tulips in a perfect pattern. Aelida walked down the stairs and bent over towards a rose bush and sniffed a red rose. "So beautiful and it smells wonderful. Compliments to the gardener."
