Welcome! Fate's Decision is an ongoing yaoi roleplay between me and Ashtyn Leigh. We started before making a thread on Menewsha, so if you wish to follow along, allow me to catch you up on what's happened so far.

Chase lives in a modern world that's the same as ours, but with one exception; you not only go to school for the general subjects, but to train to receive your Soul Animal when you graduate. Soul Animals are human look-alikes who can transform into an animal. Soul Animals are born in a place called Eden, a heavenly place where they are pampered by their creator herself, the Goddess. When Soul Animals are born, they are made to complement their Masters, whom they watch over from Eden until their master graduates. At the graduation ceremony, Masters receive their Soul Animals through a ceremony held at the Goddess' Altar. Their Soul Animal appears in a light from the altar and greets them in human form. This is where Eiji (uke) and Chase (seme) first meet. Soon after they are united, they set off to the park to learn more about each other, where they are attacked by an anonymous Master and Soul Animal team. After the confrontation, they walked to Chase's apartment/loft and have spent several nights there learning more about each other and bonding. This is where our roleplay starts on this thread.

Eiji awakened to the smell of breakfast and the blinds in his master's room being slightly open, allowing the sunlight to spill all over his bed and, irritably, his eyelids. He sat up and looked around as he rubbed his tired eyes, his ears still drooping slightly from his exhaustion. He slid off of his master's bed and turned around to fix the covers, his tail peeking out from under his shirt. He was wearing one of Chase's button ups, much too large for his tiny, boyish body, and his usual type of underwear. When he finished making his master's bed nice and neat and fluffing his pillow for the next night, he slowly but somehow excitedly made his way to the kitchen.

Chase was lounging on the couch as large cinnamon rolls baked in the oven. Twisting his head slightly to pop his neck, sighing out softly. Clicking on the television Chase watched the news with vague interest until the timer buzzed next to him. After turning it off he walked to the kitchen to pull out the rolls, as he was pulling them out he turned and saw Eiji. He then shortly turned completely red in the face as the rolls were set on a cooling sheet and iced. "Good morning Eiji, sleep well?" Turning to look at his new partner he smiled.

"Very well, master. Your bed is so comfy! It smells like you too~."Eiji smiled in the sort of way that a child would and looked over to the rolls, the aroma filling the air. "What are those?" Eiji curiously looked at the rolls and the strange object they sat on. "And, I don't understand... what is the purpose of this?" Eiji reached out to touch the baking sheet, not knowing that, at the moment, it was still as hot as the oven itself.

Chase smiled and lightly blushed at the comment, slightly wondering why Eiji had to say things like that. Smiling as he shook his head and chuckled. "Those are Cinnamon roles, they are very sweet and yummy but you have to wait till it cools." He smoothly ran his arm down Eiji's and wrapped his fingers around the younger's and pulled his hand away. "I wouldn't touch that pup. It's very hot and will hurt you." Chase whispered as he pulled Eiji away from the stove gently, trying to guide him to the couch. As Chase grabbed a glass of orange juice, already poured for his partner, and slid it into the others free hand and smiled. "Sit on the couch and I will bring it to you with the proper utensils." Gently pushing the boy onto the couch and walking towards the kitchen.

"Cinnamon rolls? They sound wonderful!" Eiji blurted out like a child as Chase took grasp of his hand and pulled him gently away from the hot pan. "Oh, well, okay. Sorry." He said, blushing slightly at his mistake and his master's reaction. He followed Chase into the living room and took the glass of orange citrus from him without hesitation, and soon was slightly pushed onto the couch to wait for his meal. "Okay, I can't wait Master! Your cooking is to die for~!"

Chase rolled his eyes and laughed as he walked into the kitchen and pulled out two paper plates and two plastic forks. After gently placing a giant roll on each plate he walked into the living room with everything, "I'm really not that great of a cook. You just haven't had other people's food." Placing a plate in front of Eiji, he placed his own in front of hiim as he took a sip of his coffee then lit a cigarette. "Let it cool down a bit so you don't burn your tongue." He warned the younger male before he got a chance to really eat the food. Smiling he took another drag of his cigarette and the drank some of his coffee, making a mental note to never feed the kid a lot of sugar or caffeine.

"Oh, Master, even if the food was not even edible I would still love it because it's made with your hands~" He said as he reached for the food, about to stuff a cut piece into his mouth as Chase gave him the warning. "Oh, okay. Sorry, I guess my stomach gets ahead of me at times." He said, sitting his fork with the hot food still on the end back onto the plate. After taking a sip of his orange juice, he noticed the strange smell of Chase's beverage, his ears perking up slightly. "What are you drinking? It smells... weird." He said as he coughed slightly from the cloud of cigarette smoke surrounding the two.

Chase chuckled at Eiji's antics then shook his head, "You need to be careful, there is a lot of things that can hurt you. It's not all sunshine and daisies here on Earth... And I'm drinking coffee, it makes people stay awake. No you cannot have any." He chided as he put out his cigarette and started eating his roll. "You know. That's strange. I'm not as amazing as you think." Looking down at his food Chase's fingers twitched for the other half of his cigarette but decided to continue to eat instead. Pointing at Eiji's plate and motioning for him to eat as he took another drink of the coffee.

Eiji listened as he was denied trying the caffeinated beverage. "Well, okay." His ears fell a bit as Chase began to eat his roll. "Why do you say that? I think you're amazing because... well... you're my Master." His ears perked up and his tail wagged happily. "It's hard to explain. But, I love you the way you are, imperfections and everything." Eiji blushed slightly and smiled as he said that, and as Chase gave him the okay to eat he began to eat his roll a bit faster than he should.

"Slow down pup. And I said that because I don't think you really know what love is. You just know that the Goddess told you right?" He asked as he finished his roll and drank the rest of his coffee as he re-lit his cigarette. Staring at the blushing boy. "I mean you might love me for all I know. It's just weird. I'm not perfect, by any means. And I want you to know I will disappoint you one time or another." Letting the smoke fill his lungs then exit slowly he started thinking, 'I wonder exactly what the Goddess told him. Why does he think so highly of me? It's kind of dumb. I mean.. everyone knows how messed up I am.' He quickly lit another cigarette and turned on the news, stuck in deep thought.

After a few seconds of the television being on a commercial appeared of Chase in a big fight, loser getting ten thousand dollars and the winner getting thirty thousand. Chase paid no mind to it as he got up and went into the kitchen to make himself more coffee. As he was stirring in his sugar and creamer he looked up to see what Eiji was doing.

Eiji eventually finished eating and sat in thought for a while after Chase said what he had to say about love and himself. So deep in thinking about what to say, he never noticed that Chase was on the television. Finally firm on what to tell him, he eventually walked into the kitchen, where Chase glanced up at him. "I... I know you may think of me as a boy, naive to this world in every way possible. And I know I may seem stupid at times, but that's because I've never payed attention to the small things, such as what is dangerous and what different foods are. But, I've watched humans from Eden, and out of all things that humans did, I found their attraction to each other the most interesting." Eiji began to twiddle his fingers a bit as he went on. "In Eden, we're not allowed to love one another, or show affection in any way... well, other than to the Goddess, but that doesn't really matter. I did have a crush on one guy, a rabbit, who I eventually admitted my attraction to, but he was... well, rather disgusted. I guess that's why I never talked to anyone other than the Goddess when I was there, because I just felt safe around her. But, I watched you quite often, as weird and creepy as that sounds, and I've seen things that would probably make others want to have no means of contact with you. Honestly, I often was sad, because I couldn't show you my affection, or even talk to you. So, I guess that's why I'm so attached to you, because I'm finally here on Earth with you. I don't care that you have faults, because I do too, as much as I try to disguise them. No one is perfect, and I like you the way you are." Eiji took a deep breath. "Everyone has their own way of explaining what love is. It all comes down to their experiences and what they define as love themselves, but... I honestly think that love is being with someone you really like. Someone who you never want to leave, and to feel the need to be in their arms constantly. The ways I could describe the way I feel about you could go on forever, but... I feel like I've said enough..." Eiji was an unknown shade of red by the end of his speech, embarrassed beyond belief. He couldn't believe how much he had just said, and how he had pretty much spilled his heart out to his Master. It was unusual of him. Eiji nervously waited to see his Master's response.

Chase took in a deep breath as he listened quietly. After Eiji finished speaking he lifted his hand and ruffled the shorter's hair, "It's not that I find you naive or anything like that. I just don't know how to express myself openly. It's hard and different for me. Truth is, I find you adorable, and I don't expect you to know much of this world because you are not from it. I do understand what you are trying to say though." he pulled Eiji in for a hug, "I'm sorry if it seems that I may come off as mean or rude, or that maybe even I come off as strange." pulling away slightly he smiled and kissed his forehead, "Please understand."

Eiji listened to his Master, and as he pulled him into a hug his tail wagged a bit more than usual. "You don't come off as any of those Master, I just... I wanted you to know how I feel." He accepted the kiss on his forehead without question and blushed slightly, looking up at Chase. After a moment, he built up some courage and took his Master by his hand, tugging him down slightly. Once Eiji and his master were face to face, his cheeks turned a bright shade of red as he moved his lips closer to his Master's, bringing them into a kiss, his ears perking up happily.

Chase smiled as he hugged him, confused as to why he was acting so strange. Once he was pulled down towards the younger man, he pretty much figured out was was going to happen. After a second Chase smiled into the kiss and picked Eiji up, setting him on the counter. After pulling away slightly to adjust their position a tad, Chase swooped in to kiss him again. A few more pecks on the lips and he pulled away chuckling, "You are to cute for your own good." He whispered as he kissed Eiji's cheek then pulled away completely, grabbing his coffee as well. Drinking a little bit of it Chase decided it would be a good idea to put some frosting on Eiji's nose. So he did. Laughing as he watched his pup.

Eiji blushed harder as his master returned the kiss and picked him up, putting on the counter and continuing until he spoke and kissed his cheek once more. As Chase put the frosting on Eiji's nose, he went somewhat cross-eyed and blushes, his ears pulling back slightly. "What did you do that for?!" Eiji growled cutely as he tried his hardest to lick the frosting off of his nose, his tail wagging.

Chase chuckled and watched his pet try and lick his own nose, "Because you are so adorable of course." He whispered to Eiji as he drank some more of his coffee, completely enjoying himself. After a little while he bent down and licked the frosting off playfully then scratched behind Eiji's ear as he thought to himself, 'What a strange situation I am in. I never thought life would be like this. Truth is that I probably needed him more than I ever thought. Gosh, he is so freaking adorable. I just want to shrink him and put him in my pocket! Wow. That was to freaking girly.' Blushing at his stupidity/fangirl moment, he smiled and lifted his hand chuckling.

Eiji continued trying to lick the frosting off of his nose, growling like a puppy. "I'm not adorable!" He said as he blushed slightly, still attempting to reach his tongue far enough when his master bent down to lick it off of him nose for him playfully, making him turn a brighter shade of pink. Eiji shook his head slightly, his ears bent in a silly way, and he scratched his nose, his tail wagging. After a moment he slid off of the counter and made his way to the bathroom to clean up for the day.

Chase chuckled and shook his head as he smiled, watching Eiji walk away. After finishing his cup of coffee, he decided on making himself a smoothie. Patiently waiting for his pup to get out of the bathroom. Chase decided that a strawberry smoothie sounded rather amazing. So, he grabbed his blender and set about with stawberries, yogurt, ice, and everything else he needed for his delicious smoothie.

Eiji finished his shower and dried off, then walking into the other room to get dressed. He decided to wear a plain black v-neck tee with light washed skinny jeans and matching black converse. One he was clothed, he walked back into the kitchen to see what his master was up to now. "What are you doing?" He said as he tilted his head, staring at the blender.

Chase looked back at him and smiled, "I am making a smoothie, want some?" He asked as he poured himself a glass and pulled out a second one and poured Eiji some, as he put a straw in it. "I believe you will enjoy it."

"Sure!" Eiji watched Chase make himself a glass and then one for his pup and took it from him, drinking from the straw. "Oh my goodness, why wasn't I informed that Earth food would be so amazing?!" He said between drinks as his tail wagged.

Chase laughed and shook his head as he sipped on his own drink, slowly putting everything away. After a few minutes he had the blender soaking in the sink and all the ingredients put up. Smiling he grabbed his drink and rubbed behind Eiji's ear, whispering slightly for him to follow. After pulling away he slowly walked to the living room and looked at the tv, pointing at it. "Hey look Eiji, I'm on TV again! I have a big fight coming up in a week. So I should probably work out more than I do now. Just in case." He said nodding to himself and putting it on a mental checklist as he put his smoothie on the table and started lifted hand weights up and down.

Eiji wagged his tail as his master scratched behind his ear, then following him into the living room. Staring at the t.v. and looking at Chase, he blushed. "You're a fighter?" He looked back at the t.v., staring at it curiously, some what confused.

Chase tilted his head as he noded slightly, "I thought that was obvious." He said looking down as he started working out again, occasionally sipping on his smoothie. "Is that a bad thing?" he finally asked as he paused, sitting on the floor. Looking up at Eiji he ran a hand through his hair. "I'm going to shower." He said standing up and going towards the bathroom, "You can watch some of my fights, they are on the dvr." He walked back and showed him which button to press then went back to the bathroom.

"I never really noticed." Eiji said and giggled as he watched his master. "And, no, it's not a bad thing. I think it's kind of attractive!" Eiji giggled again, blushing slightly, still sipping on his smoothie and wagging his tail. "Okay!" He said as Chase got up and upon learning about the button to the DVR pressed it and sat down to watch his master on the t.v.
