what sent you fleeing from gaia?

As you may have heard, Gaia's ownership has turned the site into a massive cash cow. Granted it is a business and as such has to make a profit in order to continue existing but constantly selling gold generators and banning people for mentioning the CEO's name... It's a mess.

i did see a lucky cat cost $100
and some wings now cost $75?
i didn't know they were banning people for saying the CEO's name
why are they not allowing people to say the name?

Probably because ever since the cash grind began, he's taken the blame for it(he's new to the position and the site) and as you can imagine a lot of the things that were said about him weren't very complimentary. And cancelling Ask the Admin, which was a weekly live event where the admins answered questions didn't help.

I've been hearing bad things, but man you put it in perspective. Banning for saying the CEO's name (Gary Schofield)? google search even lets you know it! XD That's just a tad ridiculous. Got a few bans there myself from trolling but that was way back.

Anyways!! Any interests? I'm a RPer and I like drawing. :3

I like:

Doctor Who (Mostly the Classic Doctors, but Matt Smith was my favorite of the new ones so far.)

Art (Can't draw. )

Music (Jazz, oldies, old school rap.. Yes my taste in music is boring.)

Video Games (Mostly RPG's, I wish I could play fighting games, but slow eye hand coordination-no girl gamer jokes, please.)

Oh there will be no girl gamer jokes. I'm first person shooters I'm the person running into a wall shooting the sky. XD
There's a good number of Whovians here. I'm sure if you made a hangout about the tardis you'd get a flock in there in no time.

There are plenty of girl gamers about so I don't think you'll be getting any flak for that. Not on this site at least, since the majority of the users are female. xD I love RPGs too, not interested in fighting games and stuff, I prefer exploring the world and all so sandbox games like the Elder Scrolls appeal to me the most. <3 (Sneak skills ftw. I hate direct combat.)

I was wondering why you couldn't say Gaia's CEO's name...thanks for the explanation. o_O;
I'm kind of surprised that Gaia has managed to last this long considering how bad the administration is.

To be fair, this only started a few months ago. Up until this past summer everything was fine.

On an unrelated note, your Sherlock signature made me laugh.

Ah. Yeah, I haven't been on Gaia in years, not since a year after they banned me for 'botting', so I'm rather out of the loop.

It really does seem it's some kind of broken state with draconian laws, especially the way you put it, including 'thought police' we need to set up a refugee camp!
