I've not been here long, so you've hardly missed a thing, and thank you.

I should be here for a few weeks. I had only been planning on staying for a week, two at most, but my plans have recently changed to include staying for the wedding.

Not always. There is quite the stigma about being single as a female, and many ladies don't handle that well. Also, because men are more drawn to physical appearances (generally of course) and not, say, ability to provide, then often less attractive ladies end up having to settle for a less than ideal mate.
But don't put too much stock in what I have to say. I've just broken off a long relationship I didn't feel was meeting my needs.

I've always thought that loveliness had many forms, but I suppose I could be odd in that regard. Admittedly I've never been much good at pairing myself off for long, so you may know far more than I.
