So if we do an avatar contest for Scher, what should we use as a prize? I hate to send out a ton of gold... maybe one of the donated CIs as first prize, an EI for second prize, and we can find a common somewhere for third?

Also, I think maybe we should limit the contest by only letting them use commons-- that way we won't have any trouble replicating the contest winner?

I think that's a great idea. I think the CI we give out though should be one of the less expensive ones.

Okay so what we doing today voting?

The voting is over, PK... the NPC's name will be Scheherazade, and the colors will be jewel tones, gold, and sand colors, possibly with black accents. Today we're starting to plan our threads, and we've been talking about an avatar contest to dress the NPC!

I'm torn between hosting a word game thread or an avatar contest thread.

I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to host both. The avatar contests seem to be judged after the events are over, so you'd just have to update to the front page and make sure people follow the rules.

I can't wait to see all the different looks we get for her.

True. We could do it like the mods are doing it now, too. Each person running their own contest, but one person clearly in charge of the competition (I would not be that person, I'd just run a contest).

I'm inclined to say only the general public-- maybe we should start with the general public, and then if the turnout is terrible we should expand to include planners? And planners should decide the winner.

That sounds good. We're down to less than 7000 gold in the event fund since I paid the fees, and the donated items won't go very far for a whole event. If we keep running contests and things, though, maybe we'll keep reminding people that there will be an event, and they'll send donations!

I was actually figuring out what I was going to wear for the event. I kind of had this outfit in mind, but I wanted to see it all on at once.

I figured on making a separate thread, yes, but I was going to wait until we actually have the event mule and let her make it. That'll probably take a few days, of course, since the admin are all busy.
