Contrary to popular belief, my name has nothing to do with Death Note or anything Japanese at all. Therefore, it's not pronounced ah-mah-neh, as many are led to think. That's not even close to correct.

I made it up when I was, like, three. Years before Death Note was a thing. I use it (or a variation; CURSE THE NAME'S POPULAR ASSOCIATION) for my main character in everything. Some people who see me in games are all, "MISA!" I didn't even know she was a Death Note character until one of said people explained. I thought he was talking to me in another language at first! ("misa amane?" he said…)
I've only gotten one person to understand how it's really pronounced without hearing it. I was once told it's an odd spelling for such a pronunciation. Understandable since I made it up before I was too used to any language. It's like this, if you'd like to give it a try:
am-AYN
("am" as in "I am" + "ayn" as in "rain")
Ammain? Ammayn? Ammayne?

It gets butchered visually AND orally. My name has been misspelled as Arnane, Amne, Aname, Amen, Amena, and the list goes on. That's part of why I created the nickname Ammeh for myself. It gets messed up far less often.
/if you're curious, it's pronounced AM-meh
/easier, right? I hope~

I was watching Doctor Who and I fancied a change. My usernames never usually have any deep meaning.

I like to change my username a lot because I get really bored with the same thing for too long. I'm actually saving up to change it again, though I can't remember how much that would be so I need to go over what I think it is to be on the safe side.

1) ABEL 2) I just noticed your title and am laughing too hard.

I tell you, people ask me the smallest things, and I somehow manage to publish a novel dedicated to answering them. That post really could've been longer. I've had a lot of interesting times because of my name.

If you delve in the DC-verse, you know.... :ninja:

But really, I was trying to be Lex Luthor on Gaia, and some bastard took it and abandoned the account (it's a popular thing to do there to steal names. Literally thousands of accounts that were active for a day so people couldn't have normal names) So I went with this. It's actually the full name, and I'm cool with people calling me Alex instead of Lex because that actually is my name. My avatars feature red hair because my hair is red and Luthor's original hair color (before a mistake in animation made him bald) is red.

It's sort of become my icon. I use variants of it now; AJ Luthor, Alex Luthor, etc.

1)

2) Yan has been playing with the back end of the system again. Jelly's fault for asking him to poke about!

3) xD I know that feeling very well. I get it naturally. My mom is always on my dad for "building clocks". (There's a story that goes, "If you ask him what time it is, he'll tell you how to build a clock.")

O_O I always thought Lex was bald because Superman accidentally interrupted an experiment of his and the chemicals ended up permanently burning his hair off.

There was a villain that looked like the current Lex Luthor is his super suit, and one of the animators mistook that for the Lex Luthor design. A sympathetic mistake since Luthor had only been in about two comics at that point, and mostly off-shot.

The bald thing has been integrated as a plot point, though. It's usually what ends up making him evil. Talk about a bad hair day...

My username is a variation of the username I've been using everywhere for about two years now. I got the idea years ago, when my oldest sister would tell me and my other sister stories that she had made up, and one of them was about a quest where the main characters were searching for a magical blue rose. Then I read a manga called V. B. Rose, and one of the things said in it really stuck in my head. It was something about how the blue rose, normally a symbol of something impossible, was really a symbol of possibility, because scientists are working so hard to create a semi-natural one.

So, instead of BlueRose, or AoiRose, or AoiBara, I chose RosieBlue. (Aoi is Japanese for blue, and Bara is close to the Japanese for rose.)

Mine is really dumb. Elirona is the name of my first World of Warcraft character. The name is one I stole from an NPC in the Blood Elf starting zone named Magistress Erona. I decided that I really liked that name, but I didn't want to copy it, because people might have thought I stole her name. So, I added my own little twist to it, and it became Elirona. :P And thus began the long and horrifying string of people who thought I was a girl until I told them otherwise!

I started to have fun with it though. I once made a character named SgtCutiePie on a game, and she got flirted with almost daily, I got free stuff on a silver platter, leveled for free, and people were eager to help me with any questions I had

It is my name. lol. Sara is my first name and Jacklène is my middle name. I just took S off my first name and put it with my middle name. probably not the most creative username, but at least I won't have to worry about forgetting it. :P
