I have had a friend tell me they couldnt approach me easily. But then they said that once they finally talked to me and got to know me, they knew I would be a really good friend. Idk

I'm the opposite.
People think they can come up to me at any time and have a big long conversation with me, especially when I'm having a bad day or am in a bad mood. It's quite odd -_-

I tend to be like this a lot. I unintentionally have a "I'll probably murder you if you talk to me" face whenever I'm out walking, and I'm too lazy to try and change it. <:3c

LOL at least you know what causes it. I really dont know. I try to not pout as much, but it just...idk. OTL Oh well, I'm not much of a people person but it would be nice to not feel like I am big foot. XD

Lately I'm attracting really weird, socially awkward people who think it's cool to follow me around campus saying "HI FRIEND" even though I've never spoken to them before. Okay, this is one specific person. Apparently he's in my algebra class, but I had never seen him before this started.

Now, I'm not a cold, antisocial jerk. I'm fine with people coming up and talking to me. I'm fine with "hey, I like the buttons on your backpack!" or "did we have homework due today?" or "how did you do on the test?" or just plain old "wow, crazy weather." Approach me normally and I'd be glad to chat with you. I've had random strangers approach me for a conversation and we ended up being friends. It's awesome! But waving at me like a nut and going "HI FRIEND!!!" when I've never talked to you before is just fuckin' weird. Ain't your friend, bro.

so basically what I'm saying is that apparently I look too approachable.

I have reason to believe that I do.
But I am also very socially awkward but I never really talk to people
and apparently not talking to people means I am a bitch and being snooty all high up on her high horse

It's very hard for me to talk to people in real life. I have major trust issues
and have been backstabbed by my own family so not many times I talk.
or when I do talk, everyone acts like I have a second head or a freak even though the things I like
aren't that bad.

The only time people wanted or did talk to me was when I went to a charter school
which was nothing but druggies and people who went to jail 9 times and that was at the least.
And the only reason they did talk to me was they felt bad because I sat alone..behind the school door.

Oh yes. I have that "do not disturb" aura hardcore sometimes. Sometimes it's because I actually want to scare people off, because I've had too much experience with catcalling.
But sometimes I'm just thinking about stuff and in my own world, and my face naturally settles into a closed-off expression. Reminds me of this: Chronic Bitchface

I am an open person who talks to anyone. I'll start a conversation over nothing sometimes just because I try to get to know people. Doesn't mean I like them, but it's interesting what some people have to say. When I do, by chance, have that aura, I scared people. >.>;

I am definitely cursed with the "back off" aura. Sometimes I admit that I do it on purpose, but other times it's just kinda there whether or not I want it to be. I've been trying to get rid of it lately, though, and I've been having some better luck with people approaching me and talking to me.

It is kinda funny, though, because sometimes I'll be sitting in a class or something and all the seats around me will be empty because my back off aura is so bad that day. I don't even know what I do for sure those days, but it must be bad...

I actually am both.
I have a "talk to me and you're dead" face when I'm by myself out in public, but at work, I'm the most approachable looking person there.

At work I try to put on this "don't talk to me aura" but it never works as well as I wish it would. V_V

People either like me or dislike me on sight, it seems. I've actually been accosted by more than one person in public, and been accused of "acting all anti-social" when all I was doing was walking down the sidewalk. Whatever.

And yeah, if I try to ward people off, it never works.

Just like the moment I sit down and try to write because things are peaceful and quiet, everyone wakes up or comes home at once and the house is abuzz with activity, and it all seems to want to be centered around me. And the more I try to ignore it, the worse it gets, until I give up and just sit there.

When I finally decide that writing is a no-go, it gets quiet again. I've even tested it, by trying to write and giving up like three times in one sitting, and it never fails. Too bad I can't write while having three conversations at once, that would fix everything.

I think it's just the universe having fun at my expense, it does that sometimes, I swear. Either that or it just wants me to change occupations. I'm strongly inclined to just let it have its way, and see what happens.

ughh those feels. i totally understand. its so frustrating when you wanna get work done but everyone is in your way and they make it seem like you're always working but you're not! T_T aw, sorry to hear that. maybe you should go outside or somewhere where noone can bother you? or perhaps a locked room? :x

hmmm, it's alright to let the universe do what it wants, but you definitely have control over your own actions so unless a meteor comes hurdling down... XD -shot-

I let a policeman friend of mine read part of a story I wrote. It was the part where the guy was disposing of a body. He actually asked me how I knew what to do.

I told him I just worked it out as an idea, it was fiction, and I tried to think like the villain and how he could avoid getting caught. He told me that if a person actually did that, nobody would ever find the remains, let alone be able to connect them with anyone. He was serious, like it bugged him. A cop, no less.

So if it ever comes down to it, I'll work cheap, lol. Just tell me where they are, and leave the money in the secret drop location, okay?

And don't tell anyone, or you'll disappear too. XD

I generally seem to have days where everyone and anyone will come up and talk to me, some days people just look at me like I just crawled out of a pile of crap and smell bad. I also always get people walking up to me and talking when I'm reading on my break, I guess people think reading a book = wanting to talk. I don't mind questions about what I'm reading.

@ Lina - I could probably get out of the wallflower state, but groups are hard... too much work

I wish I had that aura but nah, I think Im pretty average despite not usually/ever wanting to talk to anyone.

I'm in the same boat as you, except when people get to know me they stop talking to me almost entirely after a while. ._.

OMG YES Poeple forget I'm in existence positioned where they are in space too and it's kinda annoying sometimes
Also like 90% of my friends say they were intimidated by me at one point of time. Once we had to do this speaking skill in English about the person we admired the most (in blooming eighth grade, I don't know what the teacher was thinking) and this friend of mine hadn't prepared but she was called out. She walked up to the front of the class and burst out, 'The person I admire the most is... uh... Uma, because like, when I first saw her and for quite some time I thought if I went up to talk to her she'd push the glasses up the bridge of her nose, glare at me and say 'I'm studying. Fuck off.' But she's not like that, she's actually really nice-' at which point the teacher sent her back to her seat in 'disgrace'
And once during Hindi speaking skill my teacher asked this classmate of mine whether everyone in his homeroom had had their turn speaking, and he said 'yes' even though I hadn't had my turn speaking. Everyone thought that was mega funny and I was like , laughing without smiling. Mirthless laughing. Yeah.
