Just subscribing to this. xD I bought the Collector's Edition off Steam last night (half price, yay!).

Oh ho - I didn't know Cry did one too! I'll have to hunt that down. (I'm enjoying Cry's play-through of the otome game Dandelion right now. They're playing that on the Youtube channel linked above.)

I also aspire to making some otome games. :3 My friend and I got into a discussion about our frustrations with Voltage games and decided we should collaborate on making our own, haha. Not much has come of it yet, because we're both busy with school. BUt someday. Someday. XD

It doesn't have real voice acting. xD The girl doing the Lets Play does the voices and they're hilarious. xD

The MC is so strange, but I kind of like her, even though she's a derp. xD

Yeah, my first game isn't going to be otome. But it'll give me the experience necessary to make some that are. xD (I think my second one will be otome, but little or no romance if I go with the one I'm thinking.)

The first game is more of a visual novel, yeah. It's a story based on a Japanese legend that has many different versions, so it made a great basis for a story with multiple endings. xD

Oh, that's a really cool idea! What a fun way to incorporate the variety of folk tales/legends.

I actually recently tried a voltage game? I still consider myself new to otome games and all - It was the Metro Police one so I thought it would be more solving cases. Not that it wasn't fun!

Ah, yeah. I enjoy Voltage, but there is not nearly as much real choice as I was hoping when I started playing. And while I am so all about the romance, it can't be understated that romance is the focus of their games. All other plot factors yield to that. These are some of the reasons I want to write my own.
