Sage

"Yes that's a very good idea I think. It's good to enjoy being unevolved as much as you can. Once you evolve there's no going back, but it's fun to enjoy. You know?" Sage says as wisely as she can. She goes over to the berries again to get more berries for her guests. "Growing stronger is also a very good move on your half, since it's harder to get stronger when you evolve. Kind of like how humans get weaker as they get older." Sage giggles softly, her fondness for humans came in handy for once. "So what shall we do tomorrow you both? Would you like us to show you around the forest a bit Rose?" as she gives her a warm smile.

Wess

"I agree with Sage, it's quite fun being pre-evolved. You can enjoy so much. Leveling up is key to being strong as well, so you're going in the right direction Rose." He then walks over to help Sage bring the berries over. "Do you enjoy these berries Rose? Also I think that'd be an excellent idea Sage. So Rose, would you like to?" he nods to the both of them.

Rosemary licked her lips happily. "I'm glad you guys think I'm doing the right thing. I do like the berries, thank you, Wess." She said, her tails waving back and forth. "What I want to do tomorrow...I'd like to train. Would you guys train with me? I know you won't hurt me too bad, and you can help me learn things." She said hopefully.

((Trying to think of a way to bring Nightshade back in...maybe Sage can run into him the next day, still fainted, and decide to help him?))

Sage

Sage gives a nod towards Rose "Thank you, i'm glad you enjoyed the berries!" she then agrees with Wess "I'd love to, no problem." she says to Rosemary. "Let's start bright and early! I hope we don't run into that foul Umbreon Nightshade again. Boy was he trouble." she then starts to prepare their beds. "We have a long day tomorrow, time for rest." Sage giggles and gives a warmhearted smile towards them.

Wess

"No problem!" he says to Rosemary. "Of course we'll train with you! It'd be our pleasure to help you become stronger. I think it's getting a bit late, don't you think Sage? I think it's time we best nap for tomorrow." Wess says with a smile towards both of them.

Yawning, Rosemary stretched herself. "Thanks, both of you. I appreciate the help." She said, watching Sage make up beds for them. The beds looked really inviting after the events of the day.

Sage

She finishes making the beds and pats them down. "They are ready for you both. Please rest, I hope it is a good one." she then leaves the room for Wess and Rose to sleep in. She then goes to her own bed and preps for the night.

Wess

"Wow Sage, thank you!" Wess says gratefully to Sage. "It's my pleasure." she says back. As she leaves the room Wess then implies "Which bed would you like Rose? Your choice before we rest." he glistens a smile towards her.

Rosemary thanked Sage and then turned to look at Wess. "Oh, it doesn't really matter to me. A bed is a bed, after all, and no matter which one I choose it will still be better than how I usually sleep." She said modestly, glancing at the beds. After a moment, she randomly chose the bed on the right and stepped into it. "It's very comfy..."

Sage

Sage finished getting prepped for bed and wished the two a goodnight. She cuddled into her soft bed of leaves and Swablu feathers, soft to the touch. She then drifted off to bed soundly.

Wess

"I guess that's true, haha. No matter though, Sage always has good decor. These beds are made of the softest Swablu feathers, similar to Human cotton, but softer like a cloud. Well, sleep soundly alright?" Wess says happily, then getting into his bed, he turns off the light. "Good night Rose, i'll be here if you need anything." he says, then going to sleep peacefully.

Rosemary yawned. "I can tell, it's so soft..." She said. She spun around a couple times before curling up with her nose under her tails. "Thank you, Wess. Good night." Came her muffled reply, just before she fell soundly asleep.

Sage

The next day came and she awoke. Stretching out across her bed she gets up to check on the two. Still sleeping she giggles to herself and starts to prepare a breakfast of some Oran Berries and Pecha Berries, along with a few leftovers she found and Pokemon kibble. As she was cooking she was making sure she seasoned it well by gathering some herbs from her outside garden. She was a bit concerned from last night, the dark Umbreon. Sage was thinking as her kind self was, wondering if he was okay. She decided to go back for a little while the others slept. After awhile she came across near where it had happened the night before. Being cautious she looked around the tree where he had been hit by Wess. There he was, the small frail Umbreon. "Oh dear..." she said, she went down to his side to check if he was still breathing or not. She felt his small body, cold as ice. She gathered a few leaves and feathers as she could find, trying to warm him. She then used Synthesis into a large leaf she found, as well as take some extract from her flower atop her head. Sage then fed the liquid to the small Nightshade, hoping it would revive him.

Wess

In his mind, Nightshade was still reliving those first terrible days alone in the wild. It was just as bad as it was with his trainer, with bigger Pokemon always coming along to hurt him or steal whatever food he managed to find. One night, after searching for hours, he had found a single Oran berry. The tiny Eevee had just sat down to eat his meager prize, when a Spearow swooped in and stole it. Tired, hungry and angry, the Eevee had attacked the Spearow. It was a fierce battle, but somehow the Eevee prevailed. Then and there, he swore that he would become strong, that no one, Pokemon or human, would ever hurt him again. That was the night he evolved, and gave himself the name Nightshade.
On the outside, Nightshade twitched slightly, reacting to the healing liquid. His wounds faded slightly, and slowly, those ruby red eyes opened. He spotted Sage and recognized her from the night before, and made a feeble attempt to growl at her. It came out as more of a tired whine. "What...are you doing...here?" He asked weakly. "Come to...finish...the job...?"

Sage

Relieved that he was conscious, she replied "No, I came to see if you were alright. Wess is pretty strong." she looks as his frail body. "Oh you poor thing..." she goes into the trees and retrieves a few Oran berries. Handing them over to Nightshade, Sage says "Here, eat them, you'll get better. They heal." she feeds them to him, slowly, hoping he won't hurt her. "Go on." she says to him sweetly.

Wess

Nightshade wanted to be angry at being called "poor thing," but at the moment he was too tired to care. For the first time since he had evolved, the Umbreon felt weak, and he hated it. He managed to eat the Oran berries, not speaking a word the whole time until they were gone. Then he sat up, struggling for a moment before he got it. "I don't understand." He said, looking at Sage. "Why would you come back, if not to finish me? After I attacked you and fought your friend, why would you heal me?" He asked. He had grown and become strong with the lesson that Pokemon were supposed to fight, and that any who lost were simply not meant to go on. He had lost, so shouldn't he have been finished? In the world they lived in, the strong were rewarded while the weak were left behind. So why would this Pokemon, one of the many he had attacked, not want him gone?

Sage

"It's because all Pokemon have a fighting chance. Even though he beat you doesn't mean anything. It was more self defense anyways. Plus you were badly injured. What type of Pokemon would just let that be? Every Pokemon is equal to one another." she said in a kind, gentle voice. "Now come, you may come to my tree if you'd wish. I have breakfast ready, and you seem to need some strength before you go on your way." Sage spoke, giving him a gentle smile at him.

Wess

Naturally distrustful, Nightshade instantly glared at the grass-type. "You would invite me to your nest? Is your friend waiting there to fight me again?" He asked. Somehow, he simply couldn't accept that any Pokemon could be so kind for no reason. There had to be some ulterior motive...right? No one was that nice. The only sure thing was that Pokemon were cruel. That's why they battled.

Sage

"Of course, it's in good natures for Pokemon to do so. Yes Wess is there, but he means no harm. You attacked me and so he protected me. He will not hurt you, I swear to it." she said in a polite kind tone. "Please you have nothing to fear, please. I just want you to feel better. If not that is your choice." Sage said, tipping her head in a goodbye, while walking away slowly, leaving some more of the medicine she had made earlier for him at the base of the tree. Sage slowly disappears into the forest shadows.

Wess

Nightshade watched the female start to leave, and felt an emptiness he hadn't felt in along time. A feeling that terrified him: loneliness. Before he could think it over, he jumped up- as best he could, anyway- and ran after Sage. "Wait! I'll come with you. Just...just don't leave me alone." He said, hating how weak he sounded.

Sage

Sage stops and turns at the voice of the little Umbreon. Looking back she sees Nightshade sprint after her weakly. "W-Wait! Slow down!" she says, making sure he doesn't injure himself. She quickly paces toward him. Once in front of him she says "Are you okay? I see you've decided to come with me." she says with a smile. "Do you want me to carry you?" Sage politely gestures. Starting to pick him up like a child, she secures him in her arms. "Hang on, don't want to hurt you." then hops onto a tree. She searches for her tree and quickly hops from tree to tree with Nightshade in her arms.

Wess

Nightshade's eyes widened. "No! I do not need to be carried like an egg!" He shouted, struggling to get out of her grasp. There was only so much indignity he could handle, and this was going too far. He was a fully grown Pokemon, for Arceus' sake! Before Sage could even jump into the first tree, Nightshade had bitten her, making her drop him. "I can walk! Do not treat me like some weak little pup!" He growled.

((Please do not take liberties with Wolfie's characters like that. It's partial god-modding and Wolfie doesn't like it at all.))

Sage

Sage dropped the little Umbreon onto the forest floor. "Okay then, if you can handle it go right on ahead." she then lept from tree to tree quickly, hoping Nightshade would keep up, being wounded as he is. While hopping she looked down at where he bit her, bleeding. She used Synthesis to heal the bite. She was approaching her house, slowing the pace of her leaps she looked back for Nightshade.

Wess

((That's okay, Wolfie just wanted to tell you. Thank you for understanding. On a rather interesting note, Wolfie looked up Pokemon sizes etc. and found that Umbreon is shorter than Lilligant by about 3 inches, but heavier by about 24 pounds. Meanwhile, Vulpix is tiny compared to Gallade.))

Nightshade landed on his feet, though just barely, and followed the female Pokemon through the trees. He was still weak, and he knew that, but he was also still too proud to accept help. He slowed as the female did, eventually stopping and jumping up onto the tree branch next to her. His breathing was uneven, but he tried not to show it. "Are we close to your home?"

Sage

Sage nods. "Yes we are, i'll try to make sure nothing happens with Wess, just... try not to be hostile? Alright?" she says with a smile. She jumps off the branch and starts to wonder into her home. The breakfast was still warm and she gestured to a seat. "Go on and sit Nightshade." with a happy tone. Sage walks into Rose and Wess' room. "Wake up guys, rise and shine. Breakfast is ready!" she gently shakes Rose and Wess, waking them up. "We have a guest, try to have manners, alright?" she smiles at them both and walks out calmly. "They'll be out in a moment Nightshade." Sage says, quite pleased with herself.

Wess

Wess starts to wake up. He rubs his eyes as he sees an excited Sage. 'What has her all jumped up for...?' he thinks to himself, jokingly. He goes to nudge Rose awake and leaves the room. Wess looks up as he walks out to see Nightshade at the table. "Oh... hello there, Nightshade. What brings you here to Sage's house...?" he asks curiously, and cautiously. Keeping his distance from the powerful Umbreon.

((OOC: ~Wild Spirit Wolf~: Yeah I knew that, Liligant is a pretty tiny thing since she's a plant, and Umbreon is basically a dog. :P))

Nightshade followed Sage into her home, taking a seat where she told him to. He stayed silent, but nodded when she basically said to behave. He had no intention of getting into a fight right then- he was too weakened to even try. He tensed up slightly when he saw the Gallade appear from the next room, but stayed calm. He barely even noticed the Vulpix that followed. "Sage, is it? Well, I suppose I am here because Sage invited me." He answered, not wanting to admit just yet that Sage had actually saved his life.

Rosemary woke to Wess nudging her, and stretched tiredly before following him out of the room. She was thinking about food, and wondering what smelled so good, when she spotted Nightshade and stopped short. Terrified, she partially hid behind Wess. Here in front of her was the Pokemon she had grown up learning to fear, the very personification of danger in the wild, what amounted to a pure nightmare in her mind, and he was sitting in Sage's home as if nothing was wrong. "W-Wess..." She whimpered.

Sage

"I invited him here." Sage said along with Nightshade's reply. She smiled trying to warm up the group, being friendly. "Please, sit down you two, breakfast is ready." she lays out some seeds, berries, and grains she made into some bread/Poketoast. "Please eat up, don't be shy. Nightshade, you should eat too, regain some energy." she says smiling a sweet smile towards Nightshade. Sage then looks across at Rose, giving her an 'it'll be ok' look.

Wess

"Oh alright...~" he says, also smiling to give a friendly atmosphere. Wess looks back down at Rose "Don't worry, you'll be fine. If Sage invited him here, he'll be well kept of. He won't hurt you either, i'll make sure of it." he says to Rose, signaling for her to sit down. He sits by Nightshade, leaving space for Rose to sit next to Sage, for protection, still being utterly cautious of the hostile, or used to be hostile, Nighshade.

Rosemary nodded and sat down in between Wess and Sage, across from Nightshade. She avoided looking the Umbreon in the eye, looking instead at the food. It looked and smelled delicious, so instead of dwelling on the discomfort in the room, the little Vulpix started eating.

Nightshade stayed tense as Wess sat down next to him, though he could tell the larger Pokemon only did so to keep the Vulpix away from him. He could only assume the Vulpix was one of the many forest Pokemon who knew of and feared him. Feeling uncomfortable, the Umbreon took his cue from Rosemary and took some food. "Since you all seem to know me," He said hesitantly, "May I ask your names?"

Sage

Sage nods towards him. "Of course. I think you already know are names, but to repeat, i'm Sage." she says to him with a friendly smile. She starts to eat some of the food she made. She then shows a hand towards Wess and Rose. "This is Wess, and this is Rosemary. Go on now, be polite you two." she giggles to herself.

Wess

Wess too begins eating his food, thus relaxing and making the situation less uncomfortable, which he wasn't at all. Just a little cautious. "Yes, hello! I'm Wess, how do you do?" he smiles to him and the rest of the group, giving a small wave to Nightshade. "This is Rose, we found her last night wondering around the forest, and decided to take her home." he gives Rose a reassuring smile, to open up to Nightshade. "Oh... yeah. What were you doing that night when we found you?" Wess asks curiously.
