When you're such an old SHINee fan that all these gifs are a trip down memory lane.

I've fallen into Kpop so deeply that I can actually vaguely remember where these Key GIFs came from (its been a while since I've focused on SHINee, since I've been into BTS, Got7 and VIXX lately )

I remember because I'm a K-pop dinosaur.

But it's only one girl singing it. And I don't know why she would sing a song called not-boyfriend if she was called boyfriend. She looks like all the other singers. She just has really terrible clothes in this video - that's the only thing that makes her stick out. The only people or groups I can tell apart from others in this current crop of chart toppers are Lim Kim, Orange Caramel, and Niel. I think I'll be able to tell Davichi and whoever the girl with the wee pixie nose that sings My Heart is if I ever see them again, but I can't confirm that. *elderly woman voice* Whatever happened to the days when we had artists like Loveholic, Jaurim, and Lena Park?

Something like that. Once JiSun left loveholic I didn't play as much attention. It doesn't help that the band's have so many members. I'm confused by the way Pulp's membership fluctuated and A) Plup hasn't been an active band in years B) it had like, Six members at its height, and C) I consider myself a pulp fan. So yeah, these bands with 15 members? I can't even process it. Bands like Shinwa, Super Junior, Shinee, Big Bang, all the other boy bands I can't think of the names of? I don't know the difference between them. And the girl bands? All the plastic surgery makes them and the girls within them blur together. Not that they focus on their faces all that much in MVs now a days :/

How do you tell them apart? Some of them have nice songs but show me a picture of them or play a quick audio clip and I wouldn't tell you which band it was if my life depended it. A lot of the artists I like had very big voices. Although Loveholic? JiSun had the most ethereal voice. A real treasure. I don't know, times may be different. Though the time where my favorites overlapped was like, 2006. And those boy bands were around then too.

I learn to tell them apart by watching variety shows. I'm not good at telling girl groups apart, but if I found more shows starring them, I'd be able to. I learn whose singing voice is whose from other people.

I guess watching variety shows would make a difference. For me it's down to watching MVs, and with all the quick cuts, dozen + members, costume switching AND hair style and color changes I can't process it. That's part of my problem with pulp too. I mean, aside from Jarvis, Candida and the drummer, they're all pasty brunette dudes. Well, Jarvis is a pasty brunette dude too, but he's the lead singing pasty brunette dude. But I'm only watching MVs and listening to the albums. If I say, read about them or watched interviews, I'd probably figure it all out.

Yes, only watching MVs to learn them gets you almost nowhere. You have to teach yourself to not rely on hair color or style and notice facial structure.

I usually would, but as I said, I the quick cuts and the distance shots designed to capture the choreography makes it difficult to get a good look at the faces :/ If a discography takes my interest, I'll probably make the effort for the band. I just convinced myself I need to learn all the members pulp has had over the course of its run

I looked at pictures from SHINee's debut days to help me learn their faces. 'Cause then they all had the same hair color.
