Haha! Cool! That's awesome, I'll have to check it out. I also play old school Pokemon games online and even Final Fantasy Mystic Quest! :D
I love games. I'm actually glad to have found a place to pass time while I babysit and before dinner. :)
I'm pretty ok, Elirona. My sciatic nerve has been acting up, but it hasn't been a bad day, all things considered.
When you say "Mystic Quest", you mean the SNES game, right? Because you're one of the few I've seen call it good aside from "A good intro to JRPGs". I ask because what we called Final Fantasy Adventure here in the US was called "Mystic Quest" in some parts of Europe, where as the game itself actually belongs in the Legend of Mana family of games.
I should introduce you to a few 4X games I play as well, such as Age of Wonders 3, or Warlock 2, or ones I'm trying out, like Stardrive 2. Otherwise, well... I can just introduce you to more things. Want something like from the Genesis era?
I am always really touched by other people's sincere interest and compassion, you know? Cause some many people ask "How are you" or something and it's just empty platitudes.
Also, I love SO MANY games, it is hard to pick my favorite sometimes.
I am currently watch my first run through of Frozen with my nephew and the two little girls I babysit during part of the week. I told them if they were good, we could watch it a second time.
I know the feels about empty platitudes. Ugh, it's why I take greetings among other things with a grain of salt most of the time. I used to be all super-excited and friendly, but now I'm far more cynical about people in general.
I am always nice, but that's natural for me. My greetings and whatnot are actually always sincere, though sometimes I get answers that surprise me.
I am not really into Frozen myself, but the kids really love it so I put it on so they have something to watch/listen to while I sit here online. I mean, I'm in the room, and I keep an eye on them, but I'd die of boredom without things to do myself.
I'd have to say that I don't get why Frozen exactly got to being on the pedestal it's on. Not that it's bad, but it's not groundbreaking either. I mean, what, because for once a Disney QUEEN isn't evil? Grand! Not groundbreaking, though.
I swear that some things get far too much praise sometimes, just as some things get far too much flak.
I get where you're coming from, blue. I don't think it's great, but I did like that true love wasn't what saved the day for once.
Yeah, I sit in the room with them on my lap top, and I have the kitchen gated off and they have to stay where I can see them unless the five year olds need to go to the bathroom, which they can do on their own.
Sometimes, I think turn based games are best for that sort of thing, since well.... you can just tend to things during your turn before you finish it up. The AIs won't mind. They're just going to cheat anyway, and they do it so much more quickly, so they don't have to do it while you're away.
The best thing I personally have gotten out of Frozen is that I wrote my own song to the tune/rhythm of Elsa's song for one of my own original characters, a young woman who has some pretty crazy intense fire powers. A lot of people wrote songs about fire to it, but they were all about murder or revenge or evil, and that's not my OC's bag. So, I wrote one that starts off with her being afraid, but then deciding that she is fine the way she is, that she isn't a monster, and she isn't going to take sides.
It's really important to me for a lot of reasons, because accepting myself as good enough just because I'm me has been really hard and when you're finally there, it's a relief and sort of a surprise.
The kids, on the other hand, are pretending to be Elsa and also...some kind of magic absorbing creatures. I giggle listening to them narrating their scenes sometimes.
Did I miss some talk about a game?
