Clint just made a vague noise at that.

Elsewhere in the tower, Steve was realizing that maybe he missed the scent of Omega around, too.

Bucky had killed three punching bags already, ran more than normal, and then hid for a little while. Because while his instincts wanted him to go find Victoria, he missed her, too. Actually missed having her around. He was rather frustrated.

Steve gave him a little while to vent in the gym, and then went to find him.

"Buck?" he asked when he found his partner. "Feeling a bit better?"

"Not really." Bucky let out a breath. "I... miss having her around." He clenched his hands into fists, the metal arm clicking through its pressure settings.

"Easy, Buck..." Steve murmured. "You miss her being there, or you miss her?"

"Both." Bucky sighed, his shoulders slumping. "I miss her. I miss smelling her here. She was getting more comfortable. Thought so, anyway." He scrubbed a hand through his hair, undoing the messy ponytail.

Steve was quiet for a moment.

"I miss smelling her here, too," he finally admitted. "I'd have liked to get to know her."

"Still think you'd like her," Bucky muttered. He sighed. "Maybe she'll come back," he said. He knew he'd like it if she came back, and it would give Steve a chance to talk to her.

"She probably will," Steve said, nudging his shoulder against Bucky's. "You said yourself she was getting comfortable. And Jarvis didn't say she seemed like she was leaving for good."

"Might change her mind," Bucky said, rather miserably. "Not exactly her choice to come here in the first place, Steve."

"We'll see what happens," Steve said, putting an arm around Bucky. "'S all we can do right now."

Bucky nodded and shifted closer to Steve, huffing a bit.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, none of them had to be patient for much longer. Jasmine's friend had been offered more money than she could turn down to turn the two Omegas over to a group that was pissed off at Captain America for something-or-other. So she did.

Jasmine wasn't even lucid enough to be properly pissed, since she'd been drugged to keep her quiet. She and Victoria were being used for ransom and as an insurance policy, after all.

Victoria was just as drugged as Jasmine. She had no idea where she was, and she felt sort of floaty under all the drugs.

The message came in quickly to the tower, in the form of a physical note left as close to the living floors of the building as it was possible for normal people to get. The note just said that the two Omegas had been captured, and included a picture of the girls, and that it was Captain America's fault that the whole situation was happening in the first place.

Clint was promptly furious.

Bucky and Steve both saw the note and were furious. Bucky because his Omega was in danger, Steve because Bucky's Omega was in danger and these people were trying to blame him. So they were both ready to go in record time.

"You coming?" Steve asked Clint, grabbing his shield. Bucky was dangerously quiet, and packing more guns than was probably necessary.

Clint just holstered up a pair of handguns in response and picked up his collapsible bow. Nobody laid a hand on his Omega and got away with it alive.

Steve nodded his acceptance of that.

"Tony, we need you to trace this for us," Steve said.

"Already on it." Tony's fingers were flying across a virtual keyboard as he worked.
