I don't think procrastination has any relation to intelligence. It's only related to fear and seeking immediate gratification, which is an equal-opportunity life ruiner. I'm the worst procrastinator, honestly.

I got let go from my job yesterday, kind of want the Halloween event to start now so I can post like crazy and not feel so damn depressed. Plus, there is the job hunting I have to do. Ugh.

Oh no, queen. What happened?

Well, if I believe the bitch manager I was reporting to it was because I wasn't experienced enough and she needed someone else, faster, with more experience. I had only been in that office for two and half weeks, which is not enough time to acclimate and learn the routine. Naturally her reason for letting me go after the whole day of working there, knowing this week was suppose to be super busy with closings, my recruiter from the temp agency I work for calls and says that Fidelity is letting go of all their contractors since they are preparing to go public and are cutting costs.

Now I know I might seem goofy and offbeat here on Menewsha, but when it comes to my job I take pride in what I do. Having a manager tear me down like that and not have the chance to improve, with no coaching stung me hard. In my mind, I will find something better, at a job where I can showcase my intelligence. No dummy, that's me.

My recruiter was pretty pissed for me when I told her what the manager had said to me since it directly contradicted her e-mail from corporate about why all the contractors were being let go. It would be awesome to go after Fidelity for the fact that they had told me my contract was being extended to November and then they would pull me in full time. That was the plan. Sounded like a solid offer of employment to me and that's why I stopped looking for another job. Got no one to blame but myself. Now it's scramble time to get a job.
