Hullo!! I'd be super down for roleplaying queer romances and adventure stories with people! Now due to introversion and having only a modicum of the normal human attention span, it'd be awesome to have rp partners who don't mind slow-paced responses. I usually write a lot, especially when the story gets good and you can agonize over diction ahahahah! I also enjoy illustrating scenes from rps. So that all takes about a day or two ;u;

Anyways! I'll try and be concise:
-I enjoy horror, high-fantasy, mystery, and romance most.
-If our roleplay ends up being interesting, I'd like to illustrate and post some of it, maybe!
-Either planning out plot arcs and character development in disgusting detail or completely winging it is fine by me!
-Expect long responses in full paragraphs. Albeit there will probably be instances where neither of us can write much and that's fine.
-Banter, humor, and general "how can this get any worse- nevermind it just got worse" scenarios are my LIFE BLOOD.

So yeah! Hmu or respond here if you're interested! I don't have any RP ideas really right now, but I love runaway royalty.

I'd be interested in a 1x1 but a group would also be fine if others are interested and there's a plot for it. Do you have any sort of characters or story you're interested in right now?

Oh awesome! I have several characters that are decently developed, though I prefer to create new ones for each RP (no one else has to though ;u;) Unfortunately I've been at a loss for plots, however. Anything to do with saving the world or a kingdom, accidental summoning's of ultra-powerful demons, run-away princes/princesses, or a combination of all sound fun! Or maybe character A is hunting down someone/something only to meet character B whom defends that someone/something?

Sorry for the lack of ideas! Do you have any preferences or ideas? :u)

In terms of fantasy, I've been most craving some sort of humanxgenie/djinn type of thing. Perhaps easy to mix with royalty or warriors using the genie's power. Otherwise, a royal/kidnapper thing. I haven't done that in a while.
I'm also fine with elves, any sort of animal related character, sky pirates, etc.
I'm sure any of that could mix in with the things you're interested in.

Sorry ;u; Maybe the genie kidnaps a royal family member and a warrior tries to rescue them? Animal related characters are so fun!! All of your ideas sound really fun, actually! Yeah, we'll for sure get a cool story going!

Well...genie as in something that lives in a vessel like a lamp? Has powers and a master. I've read Magi recently, so that is certainly in my mind, but typical genie. We can develop whatever sort of mythology we want.
I think it almost work better with multiple characters that trying to make it all work as one. Let's say.....there's a kingdom of whatever culture we chose. The eldest prince/ss is a warrior who finds a genie and uses it against [insert enemy kingdom, evil forces, plot etc]. But while out on a campaign, the youngest is kidnapped by the enemy. Or is there a conspiracy in play? Always possible that the enemy is not who you think it is. And then twine the plots together because I'm sure the eldest would want to help the youngest.
We could have a complex world and lots of characters, or just keep it at that.

Oh okay! Sorry, I just wasn't sure! Yeah, that works. Honestly something more complex sounds fun, so we don't feel as cramped with ideas. Maybe we could have a sub-plot too where the prince/ss is torn between freeing the genie and saving their kingdom with it? Or feel like there's no compromise between the two. I'm really digging the idea of a conspiracy! Plot twists and big reveals are always super cool!! Especially when the villain has motivations that seem better or more moral than the protag, if you're into that sort of stuff! ;u;

The more plot twists the better I say! We don't need to figure it all out now I think, but we can definitely plan for lots of plot and intrigue going on. (But I'd also love some conspiracy)
Anyway, what orientation do you want to write? I'm most fond of m/m, but I'll write anything. Do you have a preference to which role you end up playing like the genie or kidnapper or whatever?

Same here!! Yeah, we can come up with the main plot points or important/fun bits and add more and reconstruct as we go along!
As for orientation m/m is great! Either role is fine with me, you can pick! What kind of relationship dynamics do you enjoy most? Like enemies to friends to partners or friends to partners?

cool cool. Both can be m/m then. If we need more characters and pairings later, we can add in something else if we want. For the royal/kidnapper plot is should definitely be enemies first. For the genie part, I think it depends on the personalities of the characters so whatever it works out to is fine.
anyway, I prefer to the play the royal sibs I guess, but I'm super flexible just in case!

What sort of culture are we going to work with? I sorta feel China most, or Arab or Egyptian over a western European kingdom. Just feels different and more in line with genies.
What is our prime evil? It would be simple if we did a rival kingdom, or it could be an invading force from unknown lands. Mass incarnate evil with more magical forces...they could be using a kingdom as a mask at first, or not. Because that's scary too. I can't think of anything properly sinister or unique though right now.

You have such awesome concepts!! I like the idea of a magical force (or a demi-god, maybe? some kind of Ancient Evil TM) couching itself in the political and military rivalry of nations. Then we could have it that whatever antagonist manipulated people in power, possibly even the prince's family/supporters?
Also did some research on genies! Islamic mythology on them is super interesting. If you're interested, I'd love to work off of their concepts of genies! If not that's totally fine :u)) I was thinking though that maybe instead of a lamp, our genie was trapped inside a ring?

I think it would be pretty neat to set the story in the middle eastern arab culture and use that mythology then. I don't know much about it, but that's okay. Or it could be that the Islamic nation is the enemy and they brought stories of this magic with them and now our nation, china probably, chased after it.

I think a little everywhere sounds good. We could have it that the prince is being mislead by someone he trusts and only finds out later? If you want, I've been doing a little research and could link you some stuff! I don't know that much either but history is so cool and fun to learn!! Honestly, roleplays that require some studying are more engaging. Would you want to have fictitious nations, allowing us some flexibility insofar as world building is concerned? I like the idea of an invading nation, though! And of the prince's nation wanting to pursue whatever new power the nation has.

Yeah, I like it all so far. Fictitious countries for sure, but they can be heavily based off real ones. So, I'm thinking since you've done some of the research on that side, your kidnapper and the genie mythology can be islamic. I think my princes will be chinese, that way they're not the same. Say, a nomadic tribe gives the oldest prince the info to find the ring. I like the idea of it being hidden away in like, the old city or ancient temples outside of the city. The invading nation is after the kingdom, but the evil force is after the power of the genies for whatever plans they have and that's why they start to show their head.

Same here! Okay, sounds good. I'm excited for any culture shock or mixed signals that happen by virtue of different traditions! If we decide to get that detailed ahahaha. Do you think the prince finds the tribe by accident? Or did the tribe seek him out? I'm thinking an ancient temple is the best place for the ring, since I was figuring maybe the genie was forcibly bound to the ring as some kind of punishment (if you're fine with that of course). 'Cause from Islamic mythology genies are just another race like humans, just with different abilities and natures. They're equally prone to good and bad. What's super cool is that they're described as being made from smoke, can shape-shift, and are not usually visible to humans. Maybe the evil force wants to enslave genies as soldiers, something like that?

I'm trying to decide if we'll start the story before he elder prince finds the genie or not. Because it would also work right after like they briefly introduced and then really only talk after the prince returns. Then the younger prince is kidnapped not so long after when the prince figures out his power and decides to go campaigning with his genie.
I like the mythology though. Sounds fun to work with. There should be something inhumanly nefarious that the evil forces want with the genies. Something only they can do perhaps. But we don't need to know that yet.

Mmm! Omfg that would actually be hilarious! Like, at first the elder prince looks at finding the ring as a chore and is possibly underwhelmed or uninterested in the genie? Maybe just leaves the ring somewhere in the palace until his younger brother is kidnapped and needs the genie's help. It's up to you though, ultimately! However you want to start the RP I'll be fine :u))

Oh! Also, so jinn (using the non-romanized spellings/names now) are traditionally long-lived people. Do you want to incorporate that into our mythology? I was thinking if we did, then the jinni could be around 100 human years old which would translate to around mid/late twenties for him. I'm not partial to having either lifespan, however!
