Yes, smartphone and data for it. It does seriously kill the battery though. I really want the Pokemon Go Plus device, which is not yet released. It will make getting items from the PokeStops easier as well as catching Pokemon easier. Just one click!
Once level 5, you can choose a team. I am gonna pick blue because it has Articuno as its symbol. The other options arered and yellow with Moltres and Zapdos as their symbols.

I'll be going with Articuno as well whenever i get it.
