It definitely has us looking to find the little things of joy to hold onto and cherish, that's for sure!
We're doing a giant celebration of life for Thanksgiving instead of actually having it be thanksgiving (we don't really celebrate Thanksgiving)... it'll be me, the girls, and Alex, mum, my sister, and her boyfriend, and my brother, his wife and their kids. I've also got a feeling that Jon and Greg and Benji will join us as well. It'll be a nice group. (And also possibly my in-laws. But we'll see.)

At least I have good news on my mum - she's officially in remission!!

we just helped a friend move
he then finds out his sister is
dying and wants him to be
the kids guardians for her
just an awful month
he's got depression

I wish them all the best, despite it being a tough time for all of them!

YEAH!! I did a serious happy dance, after breaking down sobbing - tears of joy.
Although the happy dance was more of an awkward wiggle.

Greg told me the other day that if Benji had his way (this isn't what they're naming her) but he wants to name the dog Fluffy Butt, because it's just big and fluffy. :P They are still trying to decide on what to call her.

I think they don't mind that being a nickname but she will get a name other than fluffy butt. I've seen pictures - I've suggested Scarlett. :) She seems like a Scarlett to me. :)

Soon to be 4 kids (5 and under), 2 dogs, 1 fish, 1 hubby... what's another dog to add into the craziness!

Maybe once the twins are born and we get our schedules figured out again - we can think about another dog! :P

She kind of is, but more black than red.
They have a few videos of her, and she seems spunky and fiesty.
I can't wait to find out what name they do give her.

I love it too. We had a long talk when he was still a newborn about what he should call me. Because the boys do want me to be a part of his life as we do share a bond, even if biologically he isn't mine. We just decided that Auntie and Uncle would be easiest, for now. :)

Sadly with the fishie being a Betta - having a friend in there with him is something that wouldn't really be a good idea! But he does have a nicely decorated tank! ^_^

I want to get past having the twins and settling in and then Al and I are going to talk about rescuing another dog. ^_^
