Alexander nodded slightly agree with most of what Vincent was saying.
"I agree, though humans generally use it as a source of defense. Vampires use ill-treatment as entertainment sometimes." It was merely what he had observed over time among his people. "Of course, that does not apply to everyone. Some people just are not pleasant no matter the reason." Alexander smiles at Vincent's rambling now. His question was valid, but he had no answers for him. He did not know the main reason and he could not speak for everyone. "Would you have come into this city if you were not asked too?" He asked filling the time while they approached their destination.
[That sounds like a good idea to me. Makes more sense than just walking up to them. Sorry about my absence had a horrible migraine yesterday.]

"People are sick....remember the coliseum happened and so did snuff films." Vincent says, making a bit of a face as he does. He shakes his head a bit. "No, why would I? There would be nothing in the city for me really. It's not like I know anyone there. The people I know are out here." He says simply. "We're almost there. You stay here, alright?" He'll tell them about the supplies and all and then come back to Alexander.

"We are odd beings." He muttered. There were many things humans had done that seemed illogical. We are beings driven by pleasure, wealth, and power. Some just did not care by what means they got them. "As you wish," he said halting his movements watching Vincent. "I shall wait for you here. Best of luck."

Vincent just smiles at him. "I'll be back as soon as possible." He says before running off. He meets the person from his group, explaining to him the situation, that he hasn't gotten the supplies, but that a vampire will help him. That the vampire will help him get the items and that'll be that. The person he met isn't exactly thrilled. Vincent doesn't know this, of course, but the other believes he already brought a vampire to them....which he has, but not to the detriment of the group. There is only one solution and he attacks Vincent who shrieks.
(Kind of want Alexander to run up to find blood, blood everywhere XD)

Alexander smiles hesitantly as Vincent heads off towards his people. He had his doubts about how this would go, but he would not voice them. Some things must work their course without interference from the outside. Alexander knew he was that outside force. If he tried to force things to be different a worse outcome would surely be in their future. He listened to their voice off in the distance they were not quite clear, but they were not inaudible. Alexander heard Vincent's shriek clearly like an alarm in their quiet surrounding. His body tensed ready for action, but he remained where he was. He had promised not to interfere and breaking that would surely have its consequences. He did not enjoy this option, but he would let Vincent try to handle it. He had his knife still and if he did not hear a clear end to the fight soon he would go in search. Surely, Vincent would have to understand his interference then.

After a bit of a scuffle, everything is silent, at least for a moment. But then crying can be heard. Vincent had to use his knife. And the consequences were bad for his friend that attacked him. They're dead now and Vincent has quite a bit of blood on him. He isn't thinking about Alexander or anything at the moment except how he killed someone...in order to not be killed himself. There's no way he can go back now. There's nothing for him now.

The fighting seemed to have stopped, in which favor was unclear. An eerie silence filled the air until crying filled it. He knew he was the only one around to hear it and Alexander knew who the voice belonged to. Vincent had been victorious, but at what price. He could only assume one that the human hadn't been ready to pay. There was no need to hide himself any longer.
Alexander silently stepped behind Vincent's crying figure taking in the sight. Blood everywhere, there was no need to check the body too much blood loss. Even if by some chance he still lived now, which was unlikely, he'd die soon enough. The smell of so much blood was intoxicating, but Alexander pushed through it and remained composed. He did not offer Vincent a hand, but circled him looking for visible wounds of concern. Content that nothing was life threatening at the moment he knelt in front of him taking the knife from his hands. "We must leave if you are well enough to travel," he doubted Vincent wished to stay here or return to his people.

Vincent can't help but cry. He never wanted things to end this way. He just wanted to tell them to wait a bit and he'd be able to get everything, but now? He can't even come back, can he? Even with the supplies, it wouldn't matter now. The man's dead. He didn't want anyone to die, including himself. He was the faster of the two and so got blows in without taking much of any. He doesn't fully register Alexander at first, clinging to his knife, but he does let go once he realizes who it is. "I...don't have a home anymore." He says softly, sounding so sad as he finally realizes that. He just nods a bit before finally moving to get up. "Lead the way."

"Homes can be rebuilt," lives could not be and the human lying dead behind him would never know the joys of life again. Vincent had done what he must and Alexander would not weigh that over him, but out of the possible outcomes a lost home over one's life was not the worst outcome to him. "Do not let this weigh on you too much. You did what you had to." He patted Vincent on his shoulder lightly as he pasted by.
His home was not too far into the vampire city and did not take long for them to back track to. It was not a overly large home, but sat on a decent amount of land surrounded by a high tech fencing with a matching gate the required him to enter a code to unlock. Every home owned by a vampire required one and only those with the code or a bracelet coded to enter could pass freely. Alexander lead the way up the path towards the front door. "While you shower I will fetch clean clothes for you." He assumed Vincent would want to clean off the blood before he did anything else.

Vincent just shakes his head a bit. This home was his entire life....it's all he knows...and now, it's gone. An entire life cannot be rebuilt that easily. "I didn't want to." He says softly, but instinct took over, kind of like what happened when he was cornered, essentially, by Alexander. He did the only thing left to do really. Too bad it was something that he didn't want to do.
He just follows after Alexander, his head bowed as he thinks, probably too much, about what happened. He nods a bit at his words. Part of him is think what will the others think about what he's done....and the other part? Is just thinking about how it doesn't matter since he cannot go back anymore. Soon enough, he's inside the house and taking a shower. There, it's a bit easier to hide the full out crying he wants to do. That was his friend. His friend tried to kill him and he killed his own friend instead.

Alexander left Vincent to take his shower in search of new clothes for his new guest. He had workers or servants as some others would call them that came and went,
but he rarely found himself with a guest over the years. He retrieved some simple clothes for Vincent. He made his way back to the bathroom he'd left Vincent in and when he approached he could hear the crying from beyond. He sighed heavily, not because it was a bother, but more of frustration. He was not the type of person to soothe others. His view of the world had changed greatly over his long life. Vincent had lost a great many things this night and it wouldn't heal for him easily.
Alexander walked up to the door and knocked loud enough to hear over the sound of the water. "I have your new clothes." He would have opened the door and entered uninvited, but Vincent's mood did not seem like the one to be teasing. "Is there anything else I can get for you?"

Vincent can't help it. Everything he cares for, well, it's essentially all gone. His home, gone. His people, well, they live, but he won't be welcome there anymore. And on top of that, he killed someone. Everything just went to hell in a handbasket so quickly when it seemed like things were going pretty well. If Alexander hadn't come along, or came along later, it might have been that easy, but it didn't turn out that way.
"Thank you." He's trying to hide the fact that he's crying. He ends ups turning off the shower and wrapping a towel around himself. He nudges the door open a bit to get said clothes. He just shakes his head. There's nothing else he can think of at the moment, even if he could think of things he wanted, beyond things to not have gone as badly as they did.

He hands Vincent the clothes through the crack in the door. "You are welcome. " Alexander began to turn and leave when Vincent shook his head at him, but stopped mid turn. "Please do not try to leave the house during the day. There is a security system that will alert others if it suspects someone is trying to break in or out." He doubted Vicent would try such a thing now, but precautions are never a bad thing. Explaining to others why an unmarked human was in his home would not be a pleasant conversation. "You may also help your self to any of the free rooms and what little food I keep in the kitchen." There wasn't much, but it'd be enough to hold Vincent over til he bought more.

Vincent does make a little noise when he's told not to leave and all. He kind of does want to run away, but not from Alexander in particular, just from everything for awhile. He also has the sense to know why that's a bad idea. He sighs a bit. "Thank you." He says softly before closing the door and getting dressed. Once he's done that, he goes to exploring the place since he has nothing better to do...and he likes it more than thinking about what has happened.

Alexander chuckled at the noise that Vincent made at his warning. He turns to leave when the door shut again to the bathroom. He made his way to the section of the house that he called his own. It was closed off by a large door the was locked and had its own alarm system. He opened the door and locked it again and started the security system. It was his morning routine to do this for his own protection. Never knew when someone would just walk in and be a threat to him. His room had no windows to it, but it still managed to be homely in its own way. There wasn't a coffin in his room, though he did own one, but for his own home, a bed was enough. Now that humans were rarely a threat the need for more protection was dulled.
He prepared for the morning and his slumber for the day. He laid down and the morning took him away into the death-like slumber.

Vincent can't help it, but he also doesn't like fact that he can't just do the thing. He, at some point, finds the door to Alexander's section, trying it before realizing it's locked. Of course, he's a bit disappointed that he doesn't know what's behind the door before leaving it. He doesn't sleep until he finally sits down and he passes out pretty much. He's in a new place, alone essentially. It's hard for him to fall asleep before his body forces him essentially.

It wasn't long until nightfall descended on the city again. Alexander woke from his slumber when the sunset. It was the same as every other sleep no dreams the occasional memories from the past, but nothing worth mentioning or remembering anymore. He took a shower and dressed in casual clothing before leaving to find his guest. He locked his door behind him and set out in search of Vincent.
He found Vincent passed out. It seemed as if he hadn't planned on sleeping, but had passed out from exhaustion. Alexander chuckled at the sleeping human but left him to sleep. Alexander had other needs to take care of and one of his donors should have arrived or was soon to arrive. He made his way to his kitchen, but he could smell the scent of blood already and knew the donor was already here. The glass of blood was already setting out waiting for him and his donor was finishing his cleaning and prepping to leave. "Thank you for your hard work," Alexander muttered as he walked into the room the small female nodded and smiled lightly as she picked her things up to leave. She never stayed long and Alexander did not ask why or care to know. She had her own life. He walked to the waiting class and began to drink waiting for Vincent to wake up.

Vincent doesn't sleep for much longer when Alexander wakes up. It's a battle between his body that wants to sleep and his mind that says there might be danger nearby. He makes an unhappy noise, rubbing his eyes a bit and stretching. He looks around a bit before getting up to look around again. He's thirsty...and his stomach grumbles letting him know he's hungry as well. So he heads for the kitchen first. Would there even actually be food there? He doesn't know, but it is the best option really.

Alexander heard his guest movements and the sound of him approaching. He set his half empty class down on the counter of the island in the kitchen and turned to the fridge. There truly wasn't much there for a human. He could always fetch more, but for now Vincent would have to make due. He grabbed a pitcher of water from the fridge and retrieved a class. He filled the glass and set it on the counter for Vincent's arrival. Alexander returned to his glass and continued to read the few things scattered on the island. Mainly news articles and a few letters. His Sire wrote to say he'd be away longer than expected as usual. Nothing of much significance.

Vincent yawns and rubs his eyes a bit before looking between Alexander and the water. He just woke up, his brain isn't fully functioning. "This mine?" He asks. Do vampires drink water? He doesn't know having never been around vampires. He glances at all the letters before heading to the fridge to see what's in it. He'll eat anything really, though depending on what...he may have no idea of what it really is. Food is food and that's what really matters.

He nodded before taking another drink from his glass. "I have my own drink," he chuckled at the thought of drinking the water. He watched Vincent walk to the refrigerator, "there is not much you will have to make due with what little I have for the moment." He took another sip from his glass. "There may be some bread in the cabinets as well" He hadn't bothered to check there, but he recalled there being some there sometimes. Alexander returned to reading some of his letters.

Vincent makes a little noise, taking the water with him, downing about half the glass. "Food is food. I've probably eaten weirder." Bugs and worms are good protein, if wanted or needed. "Bread?" He immediately goes to looking for that, and he does find it before starting to make himself a sandwich. He seems happy just about the idea of food in general at the moment. The simple things are pretty good.

He was mildly amused with Vincent's movements and reaction to food. It'd been a long time since he'd cared about trivial things such as food. Of course there was always one's preference of blood type, but options can be rather limited compared to human food. Alexander watched him make his sandwich as he skimmed through his things. "Make a list of things you'd like and I'll gather them for you." He said referring to food. "We will also have to talk about what you can and can not do," he knew that conversation could be a tedious one. Nonetheless it had to be done or else greater problems would arise later. Alexander preferred to not let that happen he enjoyed his somewhat problem free life.

Even if Alexander doesn't have much food, Vincent just likes knowing that there is food, enough to last for longer than normal for him. He just starts munching on the sandwich once he's made it. "I've always just eaten what we could find or hunt down...so I don't know? I like most anything so far." He says the last part softly. He frowns a bit at the idea of having limits. "I'm thinking it might be easier if you tell me what I can do and that's it." He says, pouting instead before he devours the rest of his sandwich.

"I'll have someone gather somethings for you then," he didn't want to bother with grocery shopping. He couldn't even picture himself doing such a thing let alone what he would buy. Another human would know better than he would. Alexander sighed heavily at Vincent's drop in mood at his comment about limitations. "Very well," he took another sip of his drink finishing it and set the glass down. "You can not leave without me accompanying you. Without a bracelet you are in danger of being harmed or sold like livestock. I may not be forcing you anymore, but others will not care so much for your opinion. " He picked up his letters and papers and stacked them in a neat pile giving Vincent a chance to take it all in. "You may roam freely in this house as long as a door is not locked you are free to explore. If there is anything you want I can get it for you. It is not the optimal life, but it's what I can offer you." It wasn't like Vincent had many other options of where to go.
