Like when people do it with Batman and Robin. Like I get it as a joke, but not a serious relationship. It's like pedo stuff. :P Robin in most Batman stories is 8-16 and I just can't.

Mayyybe with night wing, but even then it would be a highly toxic grooming since youth situation. I don't like when someone falls in love with teacher stories either.

Now... equals fighting on opposite sides realizing they want the same things in the long run and fall in love. That's my jam.

I like shipping two consenting adults, or at least, two consenting people around the same age. I will admit... I've shipped Loki with that horse before. And in the myths that relationship was not consensual, but in my fanfics they can do whatever they want!

I like shipping people who are consenting and happy.

That's not to say that I haven't read angsty and non consensual fanfics before, but to me, if the characters don't consent, then the ship can't sail because they are not in love. That's not shipping when one character doesn't consent. :(

That example hits close to home. My sister loved that exact parring! I was like WTF she's a baby! Her thing was that she'd get separated from him and find him again when older, but even then it's like nope nope NoooPe! XD

When I was younger I didn't mind a "evil price captures village girl but eventually falls for him" kind of story. Until I read up on Stockholm syndrome and was like...yikes. XD *cough beauty and the beast cough* Though considering Gaston as the alternative lover to her beastly kidnapper. I guest she made the best out of a bad life. Still totally not a fair way to find someone.

Fairy tales seem to be full of disturbing "women make do" stories.

I agree, it's very WTF to ship a kid and a gross ass adult. :( Especially when they are supposed to be parental figures to the kid.... Dx

I used to read stories like that, where character A gets somehow kidnapped or trapped by character B and then they eventually fell in love, but now I prefer stories where character A is captured, character B is a 100% douchey asshole and then character C comes in and saves character A. Or, it's just all angst and no one saves character A and they never EVER fall in love with their abuser and they just go through the whole story being sad and broken.... :( Those make me cry so I don't know why I still read them. XD

When I write fanfiction, it's always happy. Except for this one time, where I wrote a story where it ended where the character's loved one died.

Yeah! I was actually literally just listening to my vinyl copy of Beauty and the Beast and I realized how really sick it is that she fell in love with a literal animal because he kidnapped her... It's fine if you look at it at face value, but if you think really hard about it, it's really disgusting. xD

I get really creeped out by some of the classic fairy tales... Things like pedophilia and rape and such... I don't think I can handle it half the time.
