Lilith has always made me think of flowers, TBH. Could it be lilac's fault?

Possibly. I love Lilacs. Ours are in full bloom right now and we keep clipping and bring them inside.

If you like desserts with rose water in them you'd like Lilac flavor things too. Sometimes we put them in our tea.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about flowers, Nephi. XD I can't match up most flower names with their appearances. Most of them don't even seem to have a unique scent to me. I haven't been close enough to smell many flowers! I only just learned there's a such thing as lavender lemonade~

I like any flower that's blue, but flowers in general are a pretty thing, so I love them all.

Lilacs are high on my list of favorite flowers to. Them and tiger lilies as well as water lilies.

You haven't been close enough to smell flowers? O.o Do you live in a very crowded city?

I suspect that Amane might be leary of bugs that might inhabit the flowers?
Lilacs are my favorite flowers for smell...but Peace Roses are my favorite for how they look.

I've seen bees pop out of flowers when someone smells them in comic books, and I do think of that when I get close.

Well… there is nature where I live. I used to play outside sometimes. I liked to pick dandelions and blow on the white ones. I didn't notice bugs so often back then. My upbringing has taught me that going out in nature means eventually coming back in, tossing your clothes onto the dirty laundry pile, and taking a thorough bath/shower to get that bad smell off of yourself. To this day, I can hear my mother's angry voice shouting at my other sister after she came in from playing with her friends, "You smell like puppy!"
/other sister was the naughtiest child
/so mother was probably irate at some rule she had broken
/or maybe other sister was protesting getting cleaned up

And then there's the issue of my hair. My family has super curly hair that turns into a fro in humidity. My immediate family is a bunch of girly girls who want long, straight hair and pretty clothes, so we don't wanna go outside when it's warm or raining. It'll ruin our hair. Do you know how it feels to straighten long, curly hair that has frizzed up close to the roots? Especially that patch of short hair at the base of your neck?
O-U-C-H. When we were little children, we would cry most days when our mama did our hair. Elementary school takes you outside a lot. Huh, maybe that's why we stopped crying…

In recent years, I learned that outdoors-only bug spray exists and it works beautifully. So… if I have to go outside for a long time, I can put on some clothes I don't care about, bug spray myself into oblivion, tie my hair up, hope it's not too hot out, and deal with it. In the winter, all of this is not a problem, so I love spending time outside then. The time when there are no flowers.

My flower-smelling happens in the flower section in the grocery store. They have a variety, but they all smell the same to me. Folks often speak of the wonderful smell of roses, but… they smell like any other flower to me. I sniff and sniff until I'm embarrassed to sniff anymore, but in the end, I find the smell of flowers faint and not unique to each species. Our in-laws recently sent us flowers, and a few days later, these bulbs I didn't know were closed OPENED and they are huge! So beautiful‼ And they! Smell! Unique! And strong‼ The other flowers… smell faint and the same as always.

All of this to make the point that while there is nature around me, no, I don't go around nature and I don't know flowers. Spending time outside makes work. I think we're all learning that Amane doesn't say things in a few words anymore.

What have they been doing?!

But yes!
Thank you for keeping the Hotel alive!
