My bro and sis inlaw have three cats. Only one of them is really into catnip.

My cat likes it but doesn’t go as crazy for it as my first cat did.

My cat will murder any hand that attempts belly rubs, but my mom's cat loves them! I try to get my fill of kitty belly rubs whenever I visit her, lol.

i taught my cat to shake paws! and she's very chill about trimming nails, at least for one or two snips. but it took a long time of gently squishing toe beans while she's cuddly to get her to that point. plus i've known her since she was a kitten, so that helps. i always used to cradle her like a baby and she'd fall asleep, so she's very used to being held by me and never squimmies hard enough to get out of my arms. what a good cat.

oh and the teaching to shake took a LOT of patience sitting there with my hand out while she totally ignored me. i would do that then grab her paw and then give a treat, and finally we got to the point where i tap the ground and she spins around then sits, then i hold out a flat hand and say "paw" and she lifts one of her front paws and i put my hand under it and hold it. she hasn't been able to do it in a while but i'm sure she hasn't forgotten. i know she hasn't forgotten the treats she got for doing it

Echo is a really cute name! My kitty is also entirely black apart from one or two hairs here or there. I think it's really sad that black cats tend to get adopted less because people are superstitious of them...

That's actually a thing? That's so sad! My handsome prince is a Russian Blue and he's got 3 legs. I tell him all the time that chicks dig scars and to not be ashamed He's also 16yrs old, so he's my grumpy lovey old man.

OMG he's so beautiful! Russian blues are just gorgeous kitties... One of my coworkers has one and often sends me pictures. I can totally see why the chicks would dig your man!

Haha thank you, I will tell him you say so. I love the emerald eyes of the Russian Blue's, it's my fav when the sun hits his just right they are bright emerald.

That being said, no cuteness can forgive the 5am wake up calls...I've never launched him to the other side of the room but I have envisioned it many a mornings. LOL

OMG evil kitty. Any creature waking me up at 5am better have a very good excuse!

His excuse is always the same, he's starving and afraid that today will be the first time in 16 years that I forget to feed him

my sister ended up getting an automatic wet food feeder because if their Diabetic cat wasn't being fed at exactly the right time every morning, he would get mean and would literally like grab at my sister's girlfriend's face and start biting her but now since it's always 8am on the dot, he's settled down. it's good for them too because they have to feed him like 5 times a day and they work all the time.

Oh my goodness that sounds like SO many feedings, I feel for your poor sister! My cat is raw food fed and we tried the automatic feeders, but it doesn't keep the raw food cold, so it doesn't work. :( Sounds like a life saver though haha!

your fancy kitties, getting sashimi! yeah, it sounds like it uses ice cubes that you have to change every day, which is not ideal. i can definitely see how it wouldn't be cold enough.
