I’m attending two different church services today, baking a cheesecake with my fiancé, calling my fiancé’s family, and just generally preparing for Christmas Day today. For actual Christmas we’ll be gathering at my sister’s place for lunch and then heading to my fiancé’s place for dinner with his family. We mostly focus on the Kids because they are truly the most important people during Christmas but we always usually do something smaller for the adults. My presents for the adults are definitely Youtube review inspired this year. Edible Gems, Gormet Marshmallows from Australia, and Gormet Popcorn in weird flavors like Mt.Dew. Should be fun

Yeah nice, I think it’s nice when everyone gets a little something regardless of age. Ooh, those foods all sound good! So far I’ve received some jigsaw puzzles and miscellaneous bits and pieces which are nice. We still have more presents to do later today, though, so I’m keen to see what my fiancé has gotten me.

Also, I somehow ended up with food poisoning on Christmas Eve and I’ve ended up needing to miss Christmas lunch due to illness which sucks! Luckily I’m now recovering and feeling much less like death.

Thank you, I was luckily still able to spend most of Christmas dinner with the fiancé’s family! I had to tap out a few hours in to have a lie down, but I think that’s a pretty good go of it.

Can I just share how much I love jigsaw puzzles? I’ve started the puzzle my mum got me and it’s just such a good way to spend some time with friends and/or family.

Does anyone have any New Years plans?

Puzzles are so relaxing! I don't have time or space to do them like I used to but they are such a nice way to fill the time. I used to put on a movie and just go and before I knew it hours had passed and I was done.


My social meter is at its limit so I am not sure I want to do much for New Years but my family will likely pull me out of my hobbit hole

Getting ready for New Year's?

well my partner will be out of town and my poor kitty's tail is injured, so i'll just be taking it easy at home, maybe watching the ball drop if i can stay up late enough. i should try to get some apple cider though!

My New Year plans are still pretty up in the air, but it's looking like I'll either be spending time at a friend's house for a relaxed evening or going out with some other friends. In all honesty I'm not really sure which option is sounding best to me. Last year I went out clubbing for the first time for NYE, and that was pretty fun though not quite my scene.

Whew. Christmas was great ,though not over for my family. We have one more gathering to go one the first. Today is my birthday and it has been lovely. My momma made a special dinner and there was cake and presents. All the borthday a Boo could want for my big four zero. Lol

I've finally recovered from illness, and my partner and I have booked in a beachside AirBnB for next weekend so I am pumped!
