True! Hopefully it's only uphill from here. We're mostly unpacked now (apart from all my books) but there's still so much to do to get settled. We're getting there though!

Little by little, eventually you'll get there. Moving is such a process, but once its done you'll be much happier ^_^

I'm sure it'll be amazing once we're all settled. The plants in our yard are starting to bloom and we can finally see what they'll be! We have two Japanese maples in the front yard which are pretty, 2 flowering trees in the back yard that are similar to lilacs but not (I can't remember the name right now), and some flowering bushes out front that I haven't looked up yet. I'll need to go out and investigate later, I've been mostly cooped up inside this week.

@ Blue: Thankfully Yuna is mostly good at leaving the plants alone. She likes to chew on my palm tree and on this grassy thing I have if I don't put them up out of her reach. Strangest thing is that she won't actually chew on cat grass if I get it for her...

@ Cora & Kent: The weather is kind of all over the place this weekend. We had a massive storm the other night and are likely to get another today/tomorrow so sadly a lot of the petals have come off the flowering tree prematurely. I don't have many pictures yet but here are a few.

The flowering tree:

It's hard to see but there was a great horned owl that flew over:

We have a bunny that lives under the deck:

You have a swing set?! That's fun. XD Looks like a pretty nice yard~ So fun to have bunnies too!

It's been storming here lately too. The flowering trees seem to be surviving though, so that's nice.
I love flowering trees.

Oh that little garden area is so cute! Imagine what you could plant there too!

@ Kent: We do have a swing set! I looks pretty old so I was worried it might not hold me but I sat on it the other and it seemed ok. I probably won't swing in it much though. I've got wide hips and the seats aren't really comfy for me because of it. Maybe we could hang a porch type swing from it though? Thoughts for later on I guess. I do love watching the bunnies though! So cute. We also have some chonky squirrels that like to chase each other. We've got some oak trees out there so they love snacking on the acorns.

@ Cora: We've got a couple areas like that where we could plant stuff. I don't know much about gardening though to know what might be nice to put there. Like if I should get flowers that will come up each year or flowers that only live for the summer, etc. My boyfriend wants to do some vegetables but I think we might be better off using a raised garden bed for that. I'm not quite ready to think about the yard yet, still trying to get so many things squared away inside!

Thank you! I think I've decided on designs for the bathrooms and my room. Next up I need to figure out a rug for the living room and what to do with the office...

Kitten suggests a magic carpet.

That cat is very calm. My little brat would NOT put up with that at all

In short. Crazy. My cat has very stereotypical Orange cat energy. I caught him trying to climb into the ceiling panel the other day. Love his butt to pieces but he's definitely not the laid back type hahahaha.

I think I want to get him a Maine Coon sister though haha.

Haha! I bet his antics keep you entertained and also on your toes haha! Is there a specific kitty you have in mind? Or just that you want a maine coon?

I try not to go into wanting a specific cat, but I think I want a smokey grey one. That's not a requirement though. I've been looking into them though and they are really supposed to be the most gentle of giant cats. I love big cats so much. It'll be pricey but yup, I think I've just settled on I want a Maine Coon hahaha.

Ahh I meant like if there was one at a shelter you had found, etc. I met a maine coone once. Very big kitty. Lots of fluff. But also quite friendly. I'm sure it would be a lovely experience to befriend one!

Yeah, I can't even start looking until I move because my landlord only allows 1 cat. I'm here at least another year but there is a breeder in the area that I think I'll probably look at.

If only you could make the case that you need the cats to get the mail to you.

@ Cora: Ahh, that makes sense. I hate pet rules with apartments. We were paying I think $30 pet rent for Yuna every month which is just a total scam I feel, especially for a cat that doesn't make any noise or cause any damage...

@ Blue: I've heard of dogs taking the mail but never a cat! So cute!
