It's 26th for most since the majority of users on avatar based websites are mostly Euro-American based, you can't help but feel at a loss when you're not from any of those areas.

At least I don't meet as much people anymore who find it shocking you don't live in the same area.

You start having these kinds of thoughts once you enter into a Politically geared course. You start seeing how truly inequal things are.

But in return, hope that things will one day be equitable.

Equity =/= Equality. But at least the former would be nice.

Okay. I shall explain ~ !

The terms for 1st world, 2nd world, etc...was formulated during the cold war. It was to denote who were allies, neutral and not.

The 1st world countries were the highly industrialized, capitalist countries. They have free markets and operate by the 'leaves us alone' policy. Meaning tons of independence for merchants and consumers alike.

Example: USA, UK

The 2nd world countries are the Communist countries. They may or may not be so industrialized. As in not factory based stuff. They might be still agriculturally based. But one thing is for sure, they are ruled by a highly systematic government who takes care of everything from their baptism to their education to their graves.

Example: USSR, Vietnam, China

The 3rd worlds on the other hand are the not very rich but can be quite poor. They have no alignments. Therefore are easy prey for the 2nd worlds to converts by which the 1st worlds would like to not allow since the Communists before were the 'evils/bad guys' since their system of government was...EVIL.

Example: Philippines, certain countries in Africa
