Oh dear ._.

Why must people keep bringing that awful woman up again..

I'm trying to think of a beautifully romantic way to set the scene for my proposal. I want to be able to take Vicktoria out to eat, because the right food can be very seductive and set the mood. but I don't want this to be a public thing in a restaurant or anything.

I'm wondering about a moonlit picnic maybe, down on the beach possibly, or in one of the picnic areas in the woods. Somewhere where it's safe to light a fire so we can be warm, and toast marshmallows ^_^

Mr. Mayor- A proposal with a picnic on the beach sounds quite lovely. Maybe during dusk so you can watch then sunset then maybe stay to star gaze.

I think you should do it at a garden. You'll have a picnic there.. a private garden place of course... surruonded by flowers.. and stuff... and the moon.. the beach is just so...dirty... With all the sand and stuff.. you know?

Mene's beaches are kept lovely and clean!
I think Mr. Mayor is looking for the romance of the sun setting and sinking into the waves. Plus you can't light a fire to keep warm in a garden, people complain >.<

I haven't seen Mr. Mayor around today, I expect he's been busy with his preparations! It's not long now before Vicktoria is home, only another day or so!

A bonfire on the beach is really the way to go. Then you can toast marshmallows and feed them to each other - Terribly romantic. And once the sun sets over the ocean and it starts to get chilly, the two of you can snuggle together on a soft blanket for warmth.

Really, Mr Mayor, there's no way it could go wrong!

I have been busy with my preparations!

Knerd that's what I'm thinking too. Anna thinks I'm being cliqued by wanting a romantic get-together on the beach but it's an idea that I'm very keen on.

I spoke to Vicktoria on the phone this morning, and she's coming home early tomorrow! She'll be leaving on the morning ferry and getting back home at around lunchtime.

I have to admit that I panicked at first when she told me, but then I thought this works to my advantage! She can have some lunch when she gets home and settle in after her journey, and I can whisk her off at around 4 o'clock. Once she's starting to feel a little hungry again. So I've told her to expect me then!

I scouted out the perfect spot in a secluded bay, it's protected from the wind by the headland, and will give a perfect view of the sunset, with a fire going and some flares, some delicious nibbles prepared by yours trully, a bottle of wine chilling in the surf..the mood will be set.

I'm scared and excited right now because whatever happens tomorrow will change my life one way or the other.

All I can do now is hope that things go to plan!

you know what is even more romantic then roasting marshmallows? Putting them on graham crackers with chocolate. mmmm s'mores <333 *cough*

There's definitely going to be chocolate featuring on the menu, never fear! I would have liked to have some strawberries. But obviously they're out of season right now and the imported ones are really not worth what you end up paying for them.

I'm going to be busy in my kitchen for the rest of today, cooking up some tempting delicacies. All I'll need to do tomorrow is go down to the quayside and purchase some freshly caught giant shrimp that I can grill in the ashes of the fire, Vicktoria loves seafood :)

And sometimes things are classed as a clique because they're a tried and tested method that works well..

I am taking along a whole basketful of 'handmade' things..all the lovely food I am preparing.

I wouldn't want to take her somewhere that already held memories for her, the intention is to take her somewhere where she hasn't been before, to create a new and special memory in her life, so we can go back in later years and it can be a cherished place for us.

If you really want to it to be remembered, do something dramatic. Like, jump out of the sky from an airplane and skydive while throwing roses and chocolate kisses int he air. If she doesn't remember THAT for the rest of her life, I can't help you.
