Jack sighed. "I damn well hope so. Celebrating sounds fabulous." She laughed. "So, you're a trucker and you do drugs? Doesn't that impede your driving?"

erik chuckled.
"not really. when you're life is driving, it becomes pretty autonomous... besides, if i'm hauling something big, my reaction time doesn't really matter, because if i turn too much, it'll flip anyway."
he gave another chuckle and shrugged.

She laughed. "I suppose that's true." She looked around. "Good, we are almost there." She lit a cigarette, inhaling deeply as she looked around.

erik took her queue and pulled out another cigarillo, lighting it and puffing.
"awesome. well, then time to get to work."
nodding.

Jack grinned as they walked up to the door of the super market. She stepped onto the black pad in front of the door, expecting it to open.

Posting as: GOD!!! As Jack stepped onto the black mat, nothing happened.

erik growled.
"damnit."
he gave a sigh and started checking the door for an emergency switch.

Posting as: GOD!!! Erik found nothing, but on closer inspection of the door, realizes it is open just an inch or two.

Posting as: Jack... "Damnit!" She took a frustrated pull off her cigarette, and started looking for another way in.

erik sighed and gripped the door by the inch opening.
"hey, grab the other side, we'll both pull."
getting ready and waiting on jack.

"Well, look at that. How convenient." Jack smiled and grabbed the other side of the door, pulling with all her might.

Posting as: GOD!!! The door slid open fairly easily, only sticking a few times.

erik smiled when the door opened, patting his hands together a couple times and nodding.
"alright then."
he then looked into the store for any signs of death or power.

Posting as: GOD!!! The lights in the store were still on. So far, the store appeared to be empty of either life or death. A lot of things looked ransacked though. A good portion of useful things were already gone.

erik sighed and nodded to jack.
"well, let's go. most of the useful stuff's probably gone from up front, so i'm gonna go check the back real quick. see what you can find."
nodding with a smile and heading for the back of the store.

Jack nodded, heading in a different direction, not bothering to put out her cigarette.

Posting as: GOD!!! Erik headed into the back of the store, and Jack headed to the other side of the store. Everything was still quiet.

erik walked into the back, looking around for some spare lights and tools, as well as some extension cords and maybe some basic supplies.

Posting as: GOD!!! As Erik made hiss way through the store, he found 2 more flashlights, 7 batteries, 3 floodlights, 2 extension cords, a basic tool set(hammer, nails, saw...etc.), and 3 rolls of all-weather duct-tape. Most of the rest of the hardware section had been ransacked.

Posting as: Jack... Jack wandered back towards the food and clothing. She gathered a few weeks worth of meager non-perishable foods and bottles of water. There wouldn't much, and it wouldn't be great, but it would keep them alive. If they lasted that long. She headed for the clothing section next.

erik started putting the stuff together and looked around the back of the store, trying to find an inside ladder to the roof.

Posting as:GOD!!! As Erik searched, he found another floodlight, and 2 more extension cords. But no ladder. Jack found 7 blankets, 3 water-proof tarps, and 4 pillows. She also found several long lengths of rope. She headed for housewares next.

erik shrugged and moved towards electronics, trying to see if anything was left, putting the stuff he had found in a pile next to the checkouts.

Posting as: GOD!!! The electronics was almost completely emptied, and the things that were left were thrown about, and almost all broken. Jack found a hotplate, basic tin camping dishes, a decent pair of gardening shears, and several large metal tubs. She filled the tubs with the things she had found, and lugged then one by one to where Erik had piled his things. Then she went to find him.

erik traveled back to the checkout, checking the aisles for the super glue and other impulse buys.

Posting as: GOD!!! Erik found a single small tube of super glue, and a strewn about rack of candy bars. He also found another canister of pellets for his pellet gun. Jack continued looking for Erik, walking through the aisles, taking things that might be useful. She found 2 hand-cranked lanterns, a cheaply made machette, and a garden hachet.

erik chuckled and picked up a few candy bars, putting them with the stuff, and stuffing a couple in his pocket.
"hm...."
he began to look around for some power bars.

Posting as: GOD!!! Erik found a small pile of power bars with his foot, stepping on them and slipping.

erik caught himself and knelt down.
"...oh well."
picking them up and putting them with the rest of the stuff.
"those'll be useful anyway."
chuckling and waiting at the pile for jack.

Jack finally saw Erik standing near the front of the store, and hurried towards him. "Hey, think we're ready to move it up?"
