Hello everyone I decided that I would like to make my own hangout. This place is for everyone to come chat about anime and manga. Also I want to make some new friends and this is the best way to do so.

We can all be nerdy geeks together in my hangout. Nobody should be left out of the circle of funness. XD Be as random as you want in here I don't mind. Chat the place into the sky!!! Of course I do request that you TRY to stay on topic as much as possible, but hey there are so many things related to manga and anime to talk about.

For instance, who ever said we couldn't talk about action figures, models, CD's, T-Shirts, cups, lunch boxes, pillows, folders, etc. All that good stuff related to manga and anime. XD

So just get in here and start talking, put yourself out there. Say a title and start blabbing off about it. Recommend something good. Give your opinion on manga and anime that other people like. Go on.

For a start off the thread I want to know your favorite anime/ manga.

I have many fav. anime's and manga's, but above all is my love for Kyo Kara Maoh (anime). I can't really pinpoint any one single favorite manga. I have loved practically every one I read (not that I can remember every one XD).

Thats just about me though. Tell me about yourselves. Come on get it here. Don't make me come hunt you down. I won't bite. I think!!! XD

One of my favorite anime at the moment is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I'm really excited that they're going to be doing a movie for it.

I'm reading so many manga at the moment, I don't know that I really have a strong favorite at the moment. I'm kind of an addict. #^_^#

I have never heard of that anime, but I will definitely look into it. I'm always searching for new anime to watch.

I'm the same with you on manga. I have so many i'm reading at the same time I can't even remember them all.XD

Really? I'm surprised. It's been pretty popular since it came out. It has a lot of everything. There's mecha, comedy, some romance, lots of action, politics, morality, space ships. Honestly, it took me three episodes to get into it, but when I did I was hooked. My description really doesn't do it justice but it is a fun anime to watch.

Yeah, I made a list of manga that I was following in another thread in the anime/manga forum and it was such a huge list. It wasn't even a complete list!

I don't care the "What's your favorite ___?" question because it seems to imply that there is only one or that you've sampled all of said thing. I used to tell people "I don't know because I haven't read/seen/tried/etc. them all." I think it frustrated people ^_^;; Now I'll say what some of my favorites are though, because it would be cool for other people to get into the things that I enjoy.

I saw a few episodes of MAR but never really got into it that much.

For-Chan: I actually agree with you on the whole which is your favorite. I just picked one that I HAVE read and really enjoyed. There are still many more however that I will read and love. Same goes for the anime. Though KKM has been a fav for a long time.

I really hate it when people tell me "Oh, it gets interesting/awesome/cool in book 3/6/8." Yeah...I'm not gonna wait around that long to find out. If they can't get me with book one, they're not getting my money ^_^;;

Anyway, I think most people are so used to answering what's your favorite ___ that they don't really think about it that much. I'm probably looking too deeply at the question ^_^;;

I lean more towards shounen for my anime and more towards shoujo for my manga. I like to watch action and sometimes fight scenes can be so static on paper. I've never really been one to watch lots of romance. I like it better when I'm reading a romance.

I really like Yaoi/Shounen-Ai manga, or romance stuff as well. I also enjoy comedies.

For anime, I am a Mecha fan, I like comedy anime, and the adventure types. I like to watch romantic animes, but they can't be overly romantic thats just not fun.

My yaoi manga definitely outweigh my regular manga. I'm totally addicted. Although, I'm getting a lot pickier lately. My tolerance for weeping ukes is almost zero. I want men who look and act like men yanno.

Lol. Yeah I'm okay with weeping uke's, but if they cry throughout the whole story then its annoying. I sometimes picky about the art for Yaoi though.

I'm not as picky about the art. I can read stuff with weird art. I loved Sex Pistols by Tarako Kotobuki. The art isn't exactly pretty. The characters have big lips and their bodies are horribly out of proportion with little heads and huge bodies. But I liked the story enough to not mind the art. But if the story sucks or the characters are useless whiny lumps, I want nothing to do with it.

Lol. That was a pretty interesting story. Yeah sometimes I will read ones with bad art too, if the story is interesting. I like to read Chitose Piyoko's work even though the art is really my favorite.

I haven't heard of her, or at least don't recognize her off the top of my head. I have horrible memory. I'll have to look into that though.

There's a new yaoi anime out. Junjou Romantica. I've only watched a bit of it, but it's pretty. I know a lot of people are excited because it's a full on yaoi series that's planned to run for 24 episodes. You might want to look into that one too.

Actually its been out for a while. I'm on episode 6 I think. It is really cute. So far there hasn't been too much Yaoiness. Its more of a shounen-ai
