Tobias turned toward the voice, and her face brightened up. She rushed to Eirose and hugged him tightly, "I'm sorry love... Nerves I guess." She reached up and put a hand on his cheek, "Thank you for coming... I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to know who are the right ones to save... I don't even understand how there can be a wrong child to give a chance...." Her hand shifted to rest on his shoulder, and she leaned her cheek against his chest. If he hadn't come, she'd probably be more of a wreck than she was already.

"Well, I'm not just going to sit in the car for the rest of the day, so I guess," she said with a smile, shuffling over and taking his hand, Mamimi in her other.

"And so you want to become a reaper then?"

"If that's my only choice, then that's what I'll take." Adalia replied to the one who spoke to her.

"Foolish child..." the hooded figure said. "You also have the choice of a simple death."

"Well, that doesn't really help me, or them, does it?"

"Believe me, one day you will wish for the sweet release of death...but at that point you'll no longer have the choice."

And with that, the cloaked figure raised the scythe toward the girl. After that all Adalia heard was a growling sound filling her ears.

The reaper slowly blinked her eyes open as she tried to clear her vision. But for some reason all she could see was something brown and fuzzy in front of her. When a loud warning growl was heard from right in front of her, Adalia realized that there wasn't something wrong with her vision, but rather some furry creature was right beside her. Moving as fast she could with the lingering pain in her head, the girl moved toward the wall opposite to the bed.

Crouched against the wall, she saw that her opponent was, "A wolf?!"

"Sometimes you just know," he said, giving her a gently yet firm hug. "If you want me to stay with you, I need to find a place where there aren't any cameras so I can shift," he said just above a whisper, his eyes scanning over the area for a potential place.

He pulled her out of the car and two her feet, Mamimi mewing cutely as he did so. Once she was out of the way of the door, he closed it and reached into his pocket, locking it with the remote on his keys. Both he and Amani carried a set to the car.

He made his way slowly to the elevator, but for two reasons; he was tired, and he was moving at an easy to follow pace so as not to be rude to Tessan.

Amani didn't wait for them at the elevator, instead going ahead of them. He was already letting himself into the apartment, making his way into his room and tossing his backpack and motorcycle helmet next to his bed, then collapsing onto his bed with a sigh. He had the feeling that today was only going to get worse, which made him just want to crawl under the blankets and go back to sleep.

Teeth bared, he let out a vicious bark, moving as though he was going to attack. Instead, the wolf shifted back into the brown haired, emerald-eyed brother of the dead girl.

"What the hell are you doing here!?" he demanded, glaring down at her. His right arm laid against his waist, his hand resting on a sheathed knife that was tucked into his waistband on his left hip. If necessary, he'd severely injure her, or worse.

Tobias nodded softly, then glanced around a couple of times before looking back up at him, "There's an out of the way restroom in the hospital... I know those don't have any cameras..." She glanced at the large building, then swallowed hard, realizing again just what lay ahead of her.

"There are cameras in the halls, though. If I'm going to be staying with you, people are going to wonder where I vanished to. I think there's an alley around here without any cameras..." He gave her a reassuring squeeze.

"You don't regret your choice, do you? If you do this, you can't go back, but there's still time..."

Tobias bit her lip, then sighed quietly, hugging Eirose again, "I want to... but I'm afraid..." She leaned her head against his arm, then nodded, "I understand that I can't save them all... but I want to do some good... give a few little ones a chance..." She smiled gently, turning her gaze up to her husband.

"I know," he said, giving the top of her head a gentle kiss. "I'm going to go find a place to shift, I guess I'll meet you inside, unless you want to follow me."

Tobias smiled gently, "I'll go ahead and check in so I'm not late... I'm in the maternity ward." She placed a hand on his cheek, then nodded and turned to head into the hospital, glancing back over her shoulder, "Be careful sweetheart...." She regarded her husband, before turning again and making her way inside to check in.

Adalia crouched warily against the wall, wondering if the wolf in front of her would attack. When the creature moved, the reaper braced herself for impact but ended up relaxing a bit when the wolf took on a human form.

'The girl's brother...' Adalia thought to herself. 'I should've known that there wouldn't be any stray wolves in a modern apartment.'

"What the hell are you doing here!?" the man demanded.

Adalia eyed the wolf-man carefully as she noticed that his hand seemed to be reaching for a concealed item. "So you've changed into a man..."she said. And then after a slight pause she added, "...but it seems you've kept all the mannerism's of a wolf."

With a slight smirk on her face, she answered the man's question. "It must be obvious why I'm here." The reaper then locked her eyes on the black gem around Itami's neck. "I wanted to sell it on E-bay."

After finding a safe place free of cameras, he shifted into a small gray mouse and began his long journey (given his size) to the hospital. It felt like time was going much slower than usual, though in reality it only took him a few minutes to get inside the large building and find his wife. Once the coast was clear, he scurried across the floor and climbed up her leg, navigating his way into the pocket of her white doctor's coat.

Safe and sound, he let out a large sigh of relief, glad that he wouldn't have to worry about getting stepped on for now.

"It's worthless as far as your currency is considered," he sneered, though he didn't remove his hand from his blade. He would've killed her instantly upon the idea of her selling something so precious to him, but the fact that she had survived the toxin of his flowers made it clear that she wasn't human.

"I'll ask again, what are you dong here?" he growled, his eyes narrowing at her. He didn't care about her wolf comment. After all, as far as anyone important was concerned, he was a wolf.

Tobias tensed momentarily, before she realized that those were mouse feet on her leg. She sighed and glanced into her pocket, smiling gently, "Thank you again sweetheart... I promise you don't have to do this every day." She reached into her pocket and stroked his head gently, before going to the nurse's station and picking up some charts and making her way to check on the infants she would be tending to for the day.

Upon entering the large windowed room with the rows of babies, her eyes went wide and she couldn't help but coo quietly. Despite having to pose as a medical professional, her love of children was all too clear. She calmed herself after a moment, though, and starting walking through the room looking over the charts and information on individual children.

Yeah, sorry I couldn't get online Sunday or Monday. Those aren't really related to what I'm about to say, those days were just really weird.

Anyway, I will not be online for the rest of the week(school week). I am not going to log onto Menewsha or the Yahoo IM thing, because I don't wanna fail history, alright!? It's become painfully obvious that I cannot multi task to save my life. Or my grade for that matter. So I can't have any distractions! Please understand my situation, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please, by all means, go ahead and continue the role play in my absence. I am perfectly fine with reading four pages of new stuff when I get back.))

She smiled and walked up to Zaitsu, matching his step. "Are you gonna make it to the elevator?" she asked jokingly, stroking Mamimi's head softly.

'Well...I guess my response did not help to lighten the mood at all.' the reaper thought to herself as she tensed up a bit in the presence of the disgruntled man in front of her.

Raising her eyes until they met Itami's the reaper replied, "Curiosity."
