He laughed as the door disappeared once he had made his way past Anna, "Well, you're not very good at being useless. You come quite in handy when dealing with Kane. You may end up being our best weapon against him," he added with a smirk and wink.

Sighing, he looked at Anna, "And how does this manga of yours end? Does she admit her feelings to her friend in the end? Or does her friend find someone else?"

"Heh, funny you should ask..." Anna smiles sheepishly, looking the other way as she answers, "It's a happy ending, alright!" She makes a funny face to the wall, only to have one of the paintings return the funny face angrily.

Anna giggles, and hurries on, not sharing the joke with Drew for the sake of not making him lose hope. "Also," she continues, "I'm really not that good. My magic is pretty crappy, after all. I'm astonished that Kane fellow even noticed me. So let me be useless already," she jokes, giving him a push with her hip.

Drew laughed, "Why do I get the feeling you're keeping something from me? But as you wish, I shall allow you to believe you're useless, but I won't believe it for a minute."

Stepping onto a spiral staircase, "Come on, we'd better get on the same stair or we'll arrive at different times."

Hopping onto the staircase next to him, she sighs sadly. "I'm going to get lost SO many times."

The staircase began to move as the Lion Statue recognized their presence. Drew laughed, "Don't worry, if you get lost one of the ghosts or portraits will help you find your way. Either that, or a Prefect who's roaming the halls."

The staircase opened up to a grand office with a phoenix in a cage sitting beside the Headmaster's Desk as well as a portrait of Albus Dumbledore on the wall behind it.

Setting the books on the desk he looked around and smiled, "This office hasn't changed a bit. I wonder why Dumbledore isn't back yet. It shouldn't have taken this long for them to administer the potion. Unless...." His eyes grew wide, "You don't think... I've gotta get to Saiyuri!"

With that, he darted back towards the Staircase.

"Oh for crying out...!" Anna curses loudly as she runs after him, making her way on the staircase just in time, and running down with all haste.

"You're way too fucking impulsive!" she calls after him, annoyed.

Drew stopped running half way down the hall, shocked by her words, "You.... you.."
Laughing at the books still in her hand, "You forgot the books!" As he laughed, he forgot about his past assumptions for a few moments, "You... forgot.. the books!"

He smiled at her, "Go put them back, I'll wait since you insist on following me. Besides, I can't help that I'm worried about her! Something may have gone wrong! I told you all that potion shouldn't have been trusted.."

Her glare says enough, and instead of putting the book backs, she leaves them on the stairs. "He'll find them when going up." She stomps further down the stairs and grabs his wrist as she passes him, darting off when she reaches the floor, and pulling him along as she runs. "I'm sure she's fine," Anna pants, running at topspeed, "but neither of us is going to get any sleep if you keep being so stressed."

He stared at Anna, struggling to catch up after the sudden jerk down the hall when Anna grabbed his wrist and dragged him past three corridors, "Where are you taking me Anna? The infirmary is down that corridor! Besides, I never said you had to come along! You've been coming along of your own free will."

Rolling her eyes, Anna turns into the corridor in question, still pulling him along, "Your impulsive behaviour rubbed off on me - what can I say. Now come on!"

Drew blushed, "I'm sorry I keep dragging you into this. But thank you.. I appreciate it. Even if you don't really have any true interest in Saiyuri, I still appreciate you acting a little bit concerned while around me. Make a left up here, then a right," he added as he followed Anna.

"Oh please," she says, panting hard as she follows his instructions. "She was friendly to me - that's enough to ensure that I care." To herself, she smiled lightly as she thought, "~I care about everyone.~"

Drew's blush deepened as they came to the staircase that led to the Infirmary. Running up the stairs after Anna, he broke away just before they got to the double mahogany doors, "Wait.. you go in first.. see how she is and tell me if she's awake and if the Professors are in there."

Placing her hand against her heaving chest, Anna managed to still glare at him, despite her exhaustion. "Scaredy cat," she mutters, but complies, knocking softly on the door before slipping in.

"Professor?" she asks, softly, trying to not startle them too much. "Is Saiyuri alright?"

A nurse who was setting a glass of water next to Saiyuri's bed, turned and smiled, "It's about time Miss Rumeti had a visitor! I was begining to think no one else had heard of her accident earlier this evening! I'm afraid the Headmaster and Professor have left quite some time ago, but I can tell you that Miss Rumeti is doing quite well. However, there were quite a few side effects to the potion administered to cure her of the spell that was put upon her by that dark wizard, poor girl."

As the woman talked, Saiyuri's eyes tightly squeezed shut and darted back and forth as if in a nightmare as she twitchd in bed. Her eyes shot open, revealing a dark orange color, "Go away.."

"Ah! Miss Rumeti! You're awake! How are you feeling?"

"Go.. Away.." repeated Saiyuri a bit more firmly.

"As you wish Miss, you have a visitor."

"Who.."

"Miss Orsenhoven, miss. Shall I turn her away?"

"Leave us..."

"Very well miss," the nurse said curtly as she immediately rushed out of the Infirmary out the back side door that led to the offices.

"Yes?" Saiyuri asked, her tone unchanged as was her position in the bed.


Drew, hearing a door shut through the closed mahogany doors, became a bit uneasy and wondered what was going on in there.

"Well, aren't you miss cheery!" Anna replies, walking closer to the bed, and plopping down on the side of it. "How're you feeling? Drews' outside, want me to call him?"

Her eyes grew darker, "No... if he can't come on his on accord, why see him at all? Besides, it's not like he's all that worried about me. He just wants to know if the potion worked or if I'm dying.."

Sighing, Saiyuri's eyes slowly begant to turn back to a dark brown, "As for me personally, I'm alright I suppose.."
Turning over on her back, her long wavy purple hair, now out of it's wacky bun style, sprawled out around her upper body and head like a purple river.
"My head and body still hurt from that weird guy everyone calls Kane grabbing me.. I don't remember what happend after I dropped the books though... Speaking of the books," she added with concern, turning her head toward Anna as she continued, "did Dumbledore get them before I could get them into the room?!"

Anna's eyes lock with Saiyuri's, and she scoots closer on the bed. "How dare you say such a thing about your friend?" Her eyes spark fire as she is appalled by Saiyuri's easy disregard of her friends' feelings. "That guy dragged me all around this bloody school out of sheer panic over your behaviour."

She frowns at Saiyuri and rises, decidedly and stubbornly stomping over to the door. "I'm going to bed. Ask him about the books."

Easily, she slips through the door, giving Drew a small smile and a poke. "She wants to see you - go on in. She's just fine. And I'm going to bed." Another broad smile, and she turns away, heading towards the Gryffindor tower as she mutters to herself, "Honestly, these people."

Saiyuri rolled her eyes and flopped over on the bed so her face was in the pillow.

Drew looked at Anna as she walked down the hall, "I wonder... what happened.."

With a chuckle he walked into the Infirmary and over to Saiyuri, "How are you feeling?"

"Fine."

"You don't sound fine. Let me see your eyes."

"No, I'm fine."

"Saiyuri.."

Glaring at him, her eyes were a dark orange and Drew's eyes widened, "What have they done to you.. Your eyes.. they're a dark orange.. Are you sure you feel alright?"

"I'm not dying if that's what you mean.."

"You know I care more than that."

"Yeah.. looks like it. Having to send Anna in to check on me before you can show your face?"

"Saiyuri you don't un-"

"Understsand? What's to understand? You're burdened by this, I get it. That's why I'm going home for awhile, until this all blows over."

"Saiyuri you can't.."

"Can, and will."

"Fine. Don't expect me to write or come visit you, 'cause I won't!"

"FINE! DON'T! SEE IF I CARE!"

"FINE! GOOD RIDDENS!" Drew stormed out of the infirmary, causing the nurse to run out, "What on earth is going on in here?!"

"NOTHING! GO AWAY! I'M TIRED!"

"Y-yes miss.." the nurse, noticing Saiyuri was quite upset, quickly left the infirmary, heading for Professor Snape's office.

Drew ran back to the dormitory, passing Anna as he ran, not stopping to explain his current state. As he ran back towards the dormitory, his fury grew worse due to not being able to get their convorsation out of his head.

As Drew ran passed her, Anna instinctively moved to follow him. She took three steps, however, and then reconsidered. Obviously something had happened with Saiyuri - and most likely, with how she had acted before, it was somehow more Saiyuri's fault than Drews. Groaning, she turned around, and ran back to the infirmary, "I'm never going to get any sleep between these two."

Silently, she sneaked into the infirmary, ducking down plenty as she passed Mrs. Pomfreys' booth to be safe - not knowing she had left - , and sneaking up to Saiyuri. "Hey." She whispered, standing up and crawling unto the bed next to her.

"Why are you being so mean?"

Sighing, Saiyuri shifted and faced Anna,"I'm not. I told Drew I'm leaving for home in a week. Drew's burdened by me and always having to worry about me, so I'm going home until we can get this figured out and everything that's happened is blown over. He took it worse than I would have expected.. But anyway, I'm tired, and I know you are as well. It's late, you should get some rest. I don't want to become a burden upon you as well."

"You really are daft for somone in Ravenclaw - aren't those supposed to be the smart ones?" Anna whispers, urgently, as she leans in to look into Saiyuri's eyes - to help get the message across. "Don't you know that no person in their right mind takes on a responsibility they can't handle?"

Leaning back, she rests her head near Saiyuri's feet, talking to the ceiling. "If you had seen Drew tonight, you wouldn't have said you were a burden - to him, or me." She folds her arms over her chest and yawns lightly, suddenly registering how comfy the matress is. "Just... at least talk to him before you leave. I know it's not my business... but I know somethings about people."

Saiyuri sighed, "He didn't...choose the responsibility..I was forced upon him.."
Yawning she added, "But fine... I'll talk to him... you're gonna fall asleep if you lay like that though.."

Turning away from Anna, Saiyuri pulled the blankets and tucked them under her chin, and mumbled as she fell asleep, "Good night, Anna-chan.."

"Hmmm," Anna mutters, snuggling closer into the blankets, "he could have given up on it.." She yawns again, thinking to herself that she had really best get to the tower.

Another two minutes, though, and she's happily asleep.

Drew sighed as he quicky shouted out the Ravenclaw Common Room Answer. Stalking past the door, Drew's scowl stayed deep and stern. He quickly made his way up to the Boy's Dormitory, stipped, through on a pair of pajamas, and quickly made his way into bed. Only Aaron, a fellow 5th year with raven black hair and dark green eyes, heard Drew come in and get into bed, "Hey, where have you been?"

"No where.. go back to bed.."

"What is Saiyuri?" he inquired teasingly.

"Shut it..."

"Why, what happened?"

"She's hurt.."

"What?! How?!"

"She just had a charm put on her and it took bad side effects when Snape administered the reversal potion."

"Is she going to be okay?"

"Yeah, but she's heading home to recover."

"I'm sorry man, I can't imagine how you're feeling right now. I'm sure everything will be okay though. And if not? Well, she's a stupid girl."

Drew sighed and rolled over to his opposite side, facing the wall, and closed his eyes, trying to push all thoughts of Saiyuri from his mind and get a peaceful night's sleep, what was left of it anyway.

It was 3:30 in the morning.
