I'd really love to join the 50 Book Challenge, but I don't think I could possibly manage to meet the quota for 2008. I'd have to read... (thinking... thinking)... 5 books a week? Now, if this were the summer, I'd go for it, but I'm afraid that I have far too much school work and not nearly enough coffee at present.
I hope to lurk until then. I quite like this thread! :angel:
Well, you know, you could start now and then end your challenge in October of 2009. :yes:
But you could lurk too, I mean. As seen above, we obviously don't always talk about the challenge all the time. XD;
Knerd:: Is it on the front page that you can start the challenge whenever as long as you end a year from then? @_@
If not, I think you should add it. Because that seems to confuse like, everyone. Dx
Well, you know, you could start now and then end your challenge in October of 2009. :yes:
This is highly sensible, and I am a dork for not thinking of it! Thank you! :glomp:
Update: because I want my book lists to align with New Year's 2010, I am now working towards two goals at once.
Goal #1: The 50 book goal that I started in October of 2008 will be completed the second I hit 15,000 pages.
Goal #2: For 2009, my goal is to read 30,000 pages of completely new material. Since I have an overwhelming tendency to reread, this goal will be sufficiently challenging. Only books never before read will count towards this page goal.
Aislin's 50 Book Challenge!
