I know it's difficult to get them in M'sia. I have to go all the way down to Singapore if I want to get one (and I asked before, because my friend's tablet pen was getting wonky). My jaw fell open when a friend who has a computer store there told me the price for it. Heck, it's almost half the price of the tablet itself! X__x;;

Yeah, my Intuos 2 glitches sometimes, but not as often now as compared to when I was still using my old notebook. It's not really that serious a glitch. The sensitivity is just GONE when it does. As in, instead of the nice line with thin ends and thick middle, it's one big blobby line like how it would turn out if you use the mouse to draw.

Actually, I really like drawing lineart. It is one of my favourite aspects of drawing, unless the sketch is really bad, although it can be tiresome sometimes. O_o
Sometimes I colour without lineart too. Of course, colouring WITH lineart is WAY faster, but somehow when I colour without lineart it looks a lot better, unless it's a chibi artwork. xD

lol When was the last time shosho drew something with a pencil? Why not give it a try (experimental sketches and what not) and see how it turns out? =D

Nope, Photoshop works perfectly fine with my new notebook. Of course, I have to make sure nothing else heavy duty is open while I use it (like MMO games), but generally, it works okay. If I am not mistaken, when I was looking through the catalogue, 8GB RAM are already available, but I am not sure if it's available for notebooks. For desktops I am sure they have, because the pc I have back at home is run with 8GB RAM.

Degragmenting my notebook doesn't take too long, actually. Each drive (about 20GB for program drive, 40GB for my main storage and another 20GB for backup files and songs) takes approximately one to two hours to defrag. I still remember my house pc before I got my notebook, it took THREE DAYS just to defrag. :stare:

my graphire 2 is almost as old as your intuos! XD <333 yah, i actually wanted to buy the pen for the graphire 2 only since it was mostly the pen that was problematic, but they didn't sell them here. they sold the tablets in packets. if i wanted to order through them or something, i'd have to pay more... almost the charge of the graphire 4. i was like wtf! so i ended up buying the graphire 4 instead haha.

i actually have that kind of problem with photoshop CS2 on my laptop. i dunno why it does that weird squiggly line on it instead of the smooth one you mention. that's why i don't like to do my artwork there haha. i only use photoshop to edit stuff, really XD;

haha, yeah, lining is a bit of a pain for me TAT; i do envy people that can do lineart REALLY well~ when i was living in L.A., one of my friends was such a fiend in lining! it was friggin crazy! i don't know if you know okashichan on DA XD but her lineart work is just mind boggling. it's not the best out there, but just whoa~ i loved watching her IRL when she did some of her art work XD her style of art isn't really to my personal preference, but her lining is just... wah~ the line weight....~! i have no such patience TTATT; even though coloring takes way longer for me to do than lining, i somehow enjoy it more hahah

Actually, because of daylight savings, it's like, not even afternoon yet. >_>: (Well, 1:30, but.) And everyone just woke up. The teeny boppers were up until 5 am, so I slept at 7 (not by choice xD) and woke at 9 am throwing up for half an hour. Then they kept waking me all morning until I gave up.

But I'm going to art away and ignore them. O<
