Why is it that everyone seems to have that one particular person you wish wasn't family? It could be for any reason good or bad. I have cousins who I don't like and they get on my nerves, so I could probably do without them. Then, on the other hand I have a cousin who is really cute...I know its highly akward and wrong but he's so cute. Why couldn't he be a family friend. But anyway, does anyone else have this problem?

They all get perfect grades, can sing perfectly, and are good looking and always dress up nicely. And.. I'm not. :|

Sure, but its more of a step-relative that I don't like... I love everyone whose actually related to me. Lol.

My entire moms side of the family sucks apart from one now deceased uncle. They aren't drug users, alcoholics, gamblers, or anything else that would give me a reason to dislike them - they are just... boring.

My dads side on the other hand I've not met more than a few times, but they race rally cars, are world travelers, and generally spend their cash to enjoy themselves rather than being stuck in their own little hole in the wall.

I think if you asked most of my family who they wished wasn't, I think they'd probably say me.

If you ask me, I think I'd say me too. Especially lately.

Ugh. Most of them. My mom's side loves to tease me and my dad's side is boring and stuck up.

A lot of people, but isn't that what makes them family?
So we could all family-hate everyone?

I used to have lots of relatives, Aunts and Uncles mainly, who I wished weren't part of my family. Not because they were cute though o_o ...just because they were annoying, snobby and vile.
But now I just stopped thinking of them as family and I don't worry about them anymore.
They're just people who I see every couple of years or so.
I've got my own version of family now. My best friend's my brother, my God Mother's my Aunt. I figure that since I don't care for a lot of my blood relatives, I'd make my own version of family. It works much better this way <3

I'm reminded of that quote, "Friends are the family that you choose."
I think it applies very well in this case.

I can't say... it wouldn't be nice, but she's a gf of a family member. Loud, obnixous, lies and just overall annoying... but she's family so ya gotta take em. LOL.

I dislike lots of them.
My mom, almost everyone on my dad's side except for one family and a cousin. My cousin and her mom but her brother and dad are okay. The rest I don't mind.
The people on my dad's side are just so...annoying. Their stuck up and annoying. Can't really explain.

As my dad says 'Can't live with them can't excatly get rid of them' lol sometimes my siste I swear has a double personality. She is so sweet when she can be. But other times just a scary and pain in the rump. My brother isn't so bad now, though when he was litte I swear offer me a dollar and I'd sell him. Guess all familys have at least someone they wish wasn't family.

I wish my step-grandmother wasn't part of my family. I liked her fine when she lived in Michigan, several hours away from us. Now she lives in our house and she drives everyone insane with her complaining and her rudeness. Ugh, I just wish someone else could have taken her in.

It's not so much as that I want someone to be removed from my family, rather that I'd rather not be a part of it.

Only people I want out of the family are my dad and my grandma. Grand because she is such a drama queen and dad, because he won't learn how to use the comp on his own and gets all evil on me when he can't find his e-mail o.O Not only that but he dares judge me about playing online games. Well tell him wha, Get a life ****head o.O

But there are plenty more that I'd love to never have to see or be related to, starting with most of his relatives and ending . . . with most of his relatives.

My three uncles on mom's side. >_< Two of them are just rotten-to-the-core alcoholic assholes who don't respect ANYONE and who are waiting for their father to die so they can get his money, and the other one is... well, I get depressed when I see him because he's the perfect example of how a wrong marriage can ruin your whole life. The rest of my family is okay, though.

I understand what you guys mean. As I said before I have two cousins who just...yeah...are...not likeable at all. Then I have aunts who I really don't understand how they're part fo the family. Its not genetically possible, but whatever. Their fam so I got to deal. I just felt that me and other like myself should be able to express their dislike for those certain relatives...

everyone i dislike that's related to me is now estranged from the family i actually do like.

I feel bad but I wish I didn't have a sister because she is really mean to me and mostly for no reason as well. Very selfish as well.

my mother's cousin Jane.... they grew up really close so it's hard to avoid her.

she's pushy, crude, and throws random hissy fits where she dosn't talk to her family for months at a time... makes people come crawling to her to get her back into the group....

my moms family is sweet because they are open minded and nonjudgemental. like my cousin is great and both of my uncles are pretty cool. but as for my dads....
their a differnt story. their all very right winged and hateful. they treat me like im some kind of monster because i like women. so yeah. so whenever its thanks giving i kinda shut up and keep to myself so i wont jam a knife in someones neck.

I mean he doesn't live at home, and I haven't seen him in almost 3 years now, but the amount of anger and problems he has brought into my mothers and mines life at the moment, just really makes me hate him.

I moved over a thousand miles away from them and pretty much cut them out of my life.
