So yea, here are some of my poems. None of them are really related but they're the one's I love and am surprised came from me ^_^
Guardian Angel
The flutter of feathers as they drift from the skies.
A lone figure wanders the streets of London.
His hair swirls in the non-existent breeze
And the piercing blue eyes twinkle with love.
His name brings laughter to my voice
So ironic for the blessed winged man.
Yet he laughs also with joyful mirth
And light rebounds around.
His long strides carried him little places,
While his wings made him soar.
My angel, my love, he comes to me
After silence of eternity.
A guardian I did long to meet
Only once before have we.
A fleeting glimpse, a smile, a laugh,
A warm embrace then weeping we part.
Now his light engulfs my shape
His arms hold me closer still
“My dearest one, you are home at last”
He whispers softly in my ear.
For he and I are together forever
My Guardian Angel, my sweet Lucifer.
Candy Hearts
I’ll give you a candy heart
If you give one to me.
Pink and blue, green and white
A special gift to see.
A girl I know has a Candy Heart
It’s pink and bright and warm.
It says ‘Be Mine’ and ‘My Sweetheart’
And shimmers like the dawn.
A boy I saw has one like us.
But his is cracked and chipped.
On the outside it says ‘Love you’
But inside it cry’s ‘Save Me’
I also see your Candy Heart
It’s sweet and fizzes my tongue
It makes me feel so warm inside
When all is said and done.
I can’t see my Candy Heart
It’s hidden from my sight.
Only you can shine the torch inside
And see its hidden light.
I’ll give you my Candy Heart
If you give me yours too
Pink and blue, green and white
A special gift between me and you.
When?
When was it that I first loved you?
Was it when you smiled so sweetly
Was it when you winked at me?
Did it start when you held my hand
And guided me through the crowds?
Was it when I caught you staring
And you blushed a brilliant red?
Or perhaps when I tripped on that hill,
And you caught me instead?
No, I don’t think it was any of these things.
It wasn’t your smile
It wasn’t your winks
It wasn’t when you held my hand
Or stared or blushed or saved me.
When I first loved you is simple to say,
It was the day you and I first met.
At the Cross Roads
At the cross roads here I stand
The rain drops tumbling down.
Right or left, forwards or back
My life I will decide.
I’ve spent so long ‘pining’ for you
So long watching in silence.
For years I was your Guardian Angel
And still you never noticed.
Each morning at school I’d wait
For you to come smiling in.
And when I saw your dazzling smile
A warmth would fill me full.
Your jokes would make me laugh
Eyes the shade of stormy blue.
When you called me I’d come running
I’d give my life for you.
We ‘parted ways’ to different schools
I hardly see your face now.
I smile and laugh to hide the pain
That again I’m all alone.
But now I see the truth of you
The drugs and deadly poisons.
It seems my time away from you
Has opened my eyes to your lies.
You’ve changed in ways I hate
Your ‘friends’ are worse than flies.
I’m breaking free through veils of fog
Away from your chains on my heart.
At the cross roads here I stand
The rain drops tumbling down
Straight ahead that’s where I’ll go
To escape my love for you.
Silent Dreams
Silent Dreams are lead astray
By the whispering of the day
Spoken words they’ll never hear
Silent Dreams they each hold dear
People say that Silent Dreams
Are made of magic at the Seams
I say no, they’re sharp as darts
Breaking every dreaming heart.
Silent Dreams are shadowed curses
Sleeping soundly in our purses
But when they wake there is no chance
Our lives are lost in deadly dance.
Silent Dreams will shatter life
Causing pain, sadness, strife.
Why don’t we speak, set free our souls?
Before increasing the death toll.
As dreams are crushed and people die
I sit at home and softly sigh.
Why do Silent Dreams survive
While all around death’s axe arrives?
7 Sins, 7 Virtues But One not quite
Patience is a Virtue
I simply don’t have
Says the girl
With luke brown eyes.
Envy is a Sin
I hold close to my heart
Answers the boy
With rags for clothes.
Lust is the Sin
I use each day
Claims the blonde
From up North London.
Hope is the Virtue
I cannot live without
Whispers the child
From a burnt down house.
Fortitude is the Virtue
I fight with each day
Grins the man
From the dirt ridden street.
Pride is the Sin
That brought me near death
Weeps the lady
In the dark red dress.
Faith is the Virtue
That keeps me going
Smiles the ginger
With her hand in his.
Wrath is the Sin
That protects my heart
Hides the girl
Who cares not for man kind.
Prudence is the Virtue
That got me where I am
Explains the man
In the pin stripe suit.
Greed is the Sin
Which separates me
Sighs the grandmother
Alone for years.
Charity is the virtue
That brought us together
Laughs the couple
Recently engaged.
Sloth is the Sin
That got me kicked out
Smirks the Punk
Expelled from ten schools.
Justice is the virtue
They rewarded me for
Mutters the teen
With her crooked teeth.
Gluttony is the Sin
I’m punished for each day
Grimaces the teen
With scars on his face.
Temperance is the Virtue
That gave me this chance
Chuckles the father
With his giggling child.
But Patience is no Virtue
Nor is it Sin
And Still I say this:
Patience is a Virtue
I simply don’t have.
