I'm not sure about many here but i still when feeling really down pop in music by artists i listened to when a kid
such as the moffatts
it always has a way of cheering me up. things like hanson, prozzac , the spice girls, backstreet boys, aqua.... all those bands i used to rock out to when i was little still haunt my stereo occasionally
i was wondering who else takes those walks down memory lane occasionally too

When I was younger I wasn't very aware that music existed, if that makes sense? My mum has.. interesting musical tastes and so I grew up listening to her music really, until a few years ago when I started to get into it more.
While, for example, her love of the Bee Gees hasn't grown in me, a few others like David Bowie, Queen and Supertramp (Only a few songs, I swear!) have, amongst a few other odd ones.
Not sure if they count, but yeah, I do occasionally listen to 'em, and I do tend to hum along if my mum puts on something I might not particularly like but know the words to. It's comforting, I find.
I enjoy listening to Insomnium and Nine Inch Nails etc. just as much though, if not more.

I watched movies like WaterShip Down and the Last Unicorn when I was little. The soundtracks are made by Simon & Garfunkel (Bright Eyes ) and America (Man's Road ). I have the soundtrack of the Last Unicorn now, and I love it, like I am in the movie :P

When I was somewhere around 8 years old, I traded some old Playstation game for Satellite, by P.O.D. It was my first CD ever, and one of my favorites (since I listened to it all the time for like a year (that's probably an overexaggeration (and that's not a word (but I might just be spelling it wrong (Now I'm just seeing how many of these things I can make))))). But yeah, it can usually cheer me up a little.

Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, N'SYNC, all that crazy pop that was going on in the 90s... I swear, I was the biggest BSB fan. D: And years passed before I heard any of their music again, and I heard "As Long As You Love Me" on the radio while my mom was driving the car and the memories flooded in. And when a friend and I were sending various YouTube videos back and forth, we got to a point where everything we sent each other were from boy bands and stuff. XD Good times.

I grew up on Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, and Blink 182. Things like that. And Nickelback. I still listent o Nickelback. And what's the one that does the song "Its a cold place and its about to get colder. Youre bundled up now wait till you get older...Hey now, youre an all star, go play, hey now, youre a rockstar, get paid. And all that glitters is gold, only shootin stars break teh mold..."
Mambo Number 5. That was another one. And the one thats like "Did you finally get a chance to dance along the ...... and head back to the milkyway?" I dont know what that one is called either. But those are some really memorable songs from my past. Oh, and "I'm Blue."

We had to memorize part of "Goodbye Stranger" by Supertramp in 10th grade English.
@Tut'ankhamun - The all star one was by Smash Mouth. Mambo #5 was by Lou Bega. And, the Milky Way one was by Train. I have the CDs for the last two.
For me, it was Backstreet Boys. I didn't really listen to much of the others. I did love "Yearbook" by Hanson. That was about it. The rest of what I listened to when I was younger is what I still mainly listen to.

I grew up listening to stuff like Meat Loaf, Van Halen, Ac/Dc, Ace Frehley and that sort of thing. I listen to that music on occasion nowadays, though I've clung onto Meat Loaf more than anything. Why can't there be good popular music like Bat out of Hell nowadays? It's all boring Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco clones. :(

I still listen to Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. Not much Spice Girls. My new favorite band is t.A.T.u.

I grew up listening to my parents' music. Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Lovin' Spoonful...
Gotta say most of 'em are great bands, and I still listen to them (Especially Pink Floyd, although I never hear anyone say they're a big fan of those guys).
However, I get an NSync song stuck in my head every now and then...

I grew up listening to my parents music, mostly older Polish rock bands - Closterkeller, Lady Pank, Elektryczne Gitary, Hey... some others.
I still like them, they're good bands and I wish something like that was played on the radio instead of those pop songs D:
I'm not listening to most of them very often though, except for Closterkeller and sometimes Hey.

I grew up mostly on classical music. I actually didn't expose myself to much else until after I got into high school. I have an immense love in soundtracks as a result. John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith are my top favorites, though I do like some of Hans Zimmer and Howard Short. I also love Joe Hisashi. It's a genre of music I constantly find myself indulging in. I find it incredibly inspirational. Whenever I'm feeling artistically blocked, nothing beats a good soundtrack as the cure. (also, trailer music, I have an unusual love for trailer music, and I think that might link back to the classical music as well)

There are some particular songs. "Butterfly Dance", from Yanni, "Orinoco Flows", from Enia, and some I don't remember the names/artists. My father's always listened to them, and they bring back very good memories.
Also movies soundtracks, like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, my dad really like them, so I've always listened to those too.

Back in the day I was into a lot of pop music like BSB, NSYNC, 98 degrees, Britney Spears, Spice Girls, No Secrets, Aqua, etc. Occasionally I'll listen to a song or two when I need something annoyingly sweet to listen to.

When I was little I really didn't listen to music to much.I had a Britney Spears and
a Now cd.
I really didn't care to much about music thought.I did listen to stuff my mom listened to which was pretty much all rock.
But if you asked me if I still listened to the same stuff I did then I would say heck no,becasue my taste now is way diffrent now.
