I don't keep them long enough for you to theme. I don't think that its really that big of a deal to not have a theme for your avatar. When everything has to fit into a theme, your options are too narrow to do a lot of really creative stuff.

Yes, I am weird like that, but it is just part of my personality I guess. That is one reason I would love to write, but the only writing I seem able to do is in my own head. xD When I try to put it one paper, I get mental blocked. :lol:

I can't write anything out physically either Winter. I come up with these things and then fail to come up with anything else for it once I have the idea started on paper. Its why I have difficulty doing anything that's not opinion writing, or fact.

I'm not saying that a non-themed avatar can't be more creative, though. I've mentioned that... I dunno where or when, but somewhere in Avatar Chat to Creps that having to have some sort of theme does limit me. It's more difficult to come up with some awesome/thrilling new layering concept that makes two items look like a fabulous alternate item.

So the fashionistas have the edge on creating... well... edgier outfits.

I just prefer themed outfits because they're more fun for me. I feel no pressure to do something that's never been done, ever, or even thought of. I know what suits the avatar. (For example, a pirate flag does not go behind a pretty princess outfit... Unless I'm going for a pretty pirate princess, which would require tweaks to make that flag fit for the avatar.)

WWG is one of those people who sits between the camps of Fashionista and Themeist, sharing from both. And that works very well for her. :)

Nothing wrong with anyone's taste in avatars. It's just what works for the person.

The Madd Hatter is kick ass in it. I want to do an avatar inspired off him.

My themes are very loose.
It's basically just using similar items. Like a frilly lolita thing wouldn't go with something really modern, like a hoodie. Magical things don't go with "realistic" looks.
After that, it's just on a case by case thing. Some items just look wrong with the style of some avatars. Others don't go in theory, but in practice they work fine.
The only avatar I've had big themes for is my past two. Current is obnoxiously bright inspired by an album cover, and previous was an old time circus worker.
