And i understand the research bit. its nice to have a little idea so you don't get stuck between writing as you will be doing it everyday and won't have a lot of time to edit or go back and change things because it will drop your word count!

Sometimes just going for it can work out though. Nobody expects a NANO novel to be brilliant. It is just a VERY rough first draft. Once it is written you can always go back and edit then, knowing you at least did manage to write 50k in 30 days! :D

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I keep avoiding practicing writing even though I really want to improve. I would be really proud of myself if I did write 50k in 30 days. I'll just need to set goals and just do it. I think it'll really help me.

Its worth a try hun. But you don't HAVE to get to 50k. Thats just the normal challenge on the website. You can always aim for 25k or another amount and you'd still be a winner to yourself!

Thats kinda my method. I may or may not get to 50k but i'll still have written more than i've managed before. It's practice no matter how many words you get ^_^

OMG! Lavi!! So I went to this Frozen Yogurt Shop with some friends for a fundraiser for a group a member of here on campus and this REALLY cute guy started to talk to me about NaNoWriMo.... and apparently, because he looked really familiar and turns out he used to be friends with one of my roommates (who I didn't get along with at all) And we totally hit it off... I had to force myself not to hide and be antisocial... I think that it went ok... Pretty sure.

OOoh nemo made a friend! And didn't run away!

And even had a convo about nano!

See today wasn't all bad eh! :D

Yeah, but one of my friends (another Whovian) totally managed to make me make a complete and utter fool of myself! D:

((This is what i just wrote to a friend who wanted to know what was going on.))

Soooo, I'm a part of the Rainbow Alliance and we're having this fundraser to help to raise funds for the club at the Yogurt Shop, and I went with some friends from club, and I was standing around trying to decide what I wanted to get, and he came up and started talking about NaNoWriMo. And at first I was like O.o How do you know that I do NaNo... but I just went with it because it's awesome meeting other NaNo'ers, ya know?
So we just totally started talking, it's his first year doing it - so I was giving him tips about what to do, and all that. And after about 10 minutes he was like "Do you recognize me?" and it turns out... he's an old friend of one of my roommates that I didn't get along with, but he's no longer friends with her because they don't get along, but that's beside the point. But we met when we (my old roommate) and I were still roommates.
But! My friend Jamez, who's also a Whovian, came over to show me this little pocket that he had in his new jacket that would PERFECTLY fit a sonic screwdriver and I totally busted up laughing, randomly and managed to totally embarass myself. xD

Haha, just cause you found something funny thats nothin hun. Im just happy that you had a good conversation with somebody you didn't know you knew!

Im sure it's the nano chat he remembers more anyway! :D

Oh, I did recognize him, I just couldn't place how I knew him. *lol*
And hopefully!!

I did give him my username for NaNo so we'll see if he adds me on there!

And I'm pretty sure that he was the friend who I couldn't stand because he seemed arrogant, but I'm starting to think... maybe he was like that because he liked me and didn't know how to show it....???

haha, who knows. well keep talking to him then on nano or whatever and see how it go's! Woo Nemo! :D

Socializing takes a lot out of me!

And I've got two parcels waiting for me... need to wait for the RA to get into the box downstairs so I can go and get them... WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE!!

I'm currently waiting for a mask, postcards, stamps and socks (all from different places)... but the mask and socks will probably not be here till next week. So it's probably my post cards and stamps... HOPEFULLY!

Oh, yes! And I'm also waiting for a Doctor Who decal for my laptop. But that'll not be here till next week too, because I just ordered it a few days ago.

I did a practice writing thing today, totallly just wrote random rubbish to see how long it took me to get 1666 words down xD

I nearly ended up startin my idea though!

But even if i can't resist any longer, i'll add whatever count i get to and make sure i add it to 50k so im not cheating....if thats allowed xDD

Woop, i just checked back on my local region and they're doing a write-in session in my local starbucks on the 11th november. I'll be up for that!

Shame i can't get to the plotting session on sunday though. Its not in my town its the one just outside and i can't afford to get there by train yet xD

Anybody else gonna be checkin their region for local write-ins to see who else is doing it near you?

Rosalyn is definitely sticking, i like the name but i guess this way she can start out sweet and beautiful like a red rose then turn evil and jealous and be a black and rotten rose hehe. I guess the surname isn't too important. I'll probably just call her Lady Rosa or Rosalyn rather than mention a surname. She's just a spoiled and rich dukes daughter who was meant to marry my Prince but he falls for the Elf instead so she gets angry and evil and tries to kill her and yeah....saying no more on the matter! xDD

And ugh, some friends just make me frustrated and upset... >.< One of my friends is now saying that she told me that we need to go to a costume shop and get my wings for my costume that way... and SHE NEVER DID!! Plus the fact that she said that she sent it in a text which I never got! Plus I'm kinda peeved at her for something she did yesterday.
My mum uses that all the time - getting me to agree to something when I'm not paying attention and then going "But you told me you'd do it."
I'm going to try to get my mum to take me to one on Satirday. And hopefully I can get the last of my things, or at least most of what I need, then. =]

I have a busy-ish couple of days to come, so i apologise in advance if i'm not around, especially tomorrow as i'll be drinking with a friend for her birthday night out. She's got a few local bands to play in one of our rockbars for her!

As for saturday i WAS invited to a party, but i'm just gonna be chillin with that mum i'm babysitting for during the day now i think, so i should be back by the time you're on ^_^
