Roy patted Lori's back gently. "We probably shouldn't stay in here too long." He said. Just then, the door opened a crack.

After several minutes, Gemini's curiosity got the better of her. She went to the door the two adults had disappeared through and opened it just a little to look in. She giggled as she saw them hugging, but then realized that she'd been spotted. Quickly, she closed the door and ran back to where she had been standing before.

Lori let him go scowling a little. "I'm going to have to punish her for that." she smirked and headed out. "Alright you!" she advanced on Gemini. "Your job is to sort threw today's paper work from most important to least. Anything that Roy gives you, your going to deliver it no complaints."

Gemini's expression crumbled. Of course she knew she'd be given the most menial task, but this was just cruel. Still, she couldn't disobey. "Yes ma'am." She said dejectedly.

Following Lori out, Roy smirked at the job she gave the girl. Now that's just evil. He thought. "Get ready, girl, because there is always a lot of paperwork to be done."

"This is todays work.' Lori pulled open the door just as Riza was about to enter with the paperwork for the day behind her come the others arms all filled with paperwork. "Good luck." Lori smirked and started in on a stack handing Roy the paperwork he needed to see.

Gemini groaned at the sheer amount of paperwork. This was going to take a while. Sighing, she rolled her sleeves up and got started.

Several hours later the work was done. "Ugh!" Lori rolled her shoulders stretching out. "Finally done." She leaned back in her chair. "Hurrah."

Gemini had worked furiously, determined to get her first job done right. She had several paper cuts, but everything had been done perfectly.

"Impressive. We might just have to have her working here everyday." Roy said, and it wasn't clear whether he was kidding or not.

"Good job Gemini." Lori smiled and handed her a pay check. "your first check." she smiled. "You get one each week and your own account."

Gemini smiled, eyes shining. "Yes! Thank you very much!" She bowed politely to both Lori and Roy. "May I go? I'd like to put this in the bank right away."

"Go ahead. Make sure to give the woman at the national Bank your pocket watch as well. They'll be able to help you." Lori smiled as she cleaned up for the day.

"Thank you!" Gemini said, running out of the room. She mentally went over a route in her head that she could take from the bank to the clothing store she had been to with Lori the day before. She was going to buy Lori the dress she had wanted.

Roy went to help Lori clean up for the day. "That kid has promise. And it seems like she really looks up to you. Almost like you've got a little sister." He teased.

"That would be nice. I will have someone to complain to about you." Lori teased him back a soft smirk on her face.

Al noticed Gemini and waved his brother was planning on leaving soon to do a few things but he had wanted to say goodbye to the girl.

"Oh, I see how it is." Roy pouted, pretending to be hurt. "I'm not that bad, am I?"

Looking up, Gemini saw an unmistakable suit of armor waving at her. "Al! Hey!" She said, moving to meet him. "How are you doing? Where's Ed?"

"No your not but the skirt thing is rather annoying." Lori smirked at Roy. "I'm not wearing a mini skirt. I'll react a rebellion against you."

"He's at the hotel napping. We need to head out soon to see a friend of ours. I came to say goodbye." Al studied her wishing he could smile.

"Now that's just mean." Roy said, though he was smirking. "I suppose I could let you wear something else...how about a cat suit?"

Gemini frowned a little. "Oh. Well, do you have time to hang out before you go? I haven't seen you guys at all...oh, I meant to tell you! I passed my exam!" She held up her watch proudly.

"Cool." Al stared at it a little jealous. "Sure we have about an hour before the train leaves. You look like you where going somewhere."

Lori blinked slowly then started to strangle him eyes glaring daggsra into him. "If you ever suggest that again." She snarled.

Gemini smacked her forehead. "Oh, yeah. I was going to buy a dress for miss Lori, to thank her for being so nice to me. But that can wait an hour. Once you leave, I won't be able to spend time with you." She said.

Roy was laughing and choking at the same time. "Okay, okay, it was just a joke! I'll never suggest it again!" He gasped.

"Good!" Lori get go and kicking his lower region the huffed marching off. "Finish cleaning yourself." She closed the door behind her leaving him there.

"OK." Al beamed and lead the way to there hotel room where Ed was. The older brother had just woken from his nap and was stretching.

Roy collapsed on the floor as Lori left. "Totally...worth...it..." He muttered painfully.

Gemini followed Al happily, walking into the hotel room to see Ed waking up. "Hello, Ed!"

"hey." Ed greeted glancing at Al. "Did you tell her?" "yeah." Al sounded a little sad. "To bad she can't come with us." he added looking to his brother. "Oh no Al not this time." Ed sighed then blinked as a meow sounded from the armor. "Al." he scowled.

Gemini looked between the brothers, confused. Hearing a meow, she stared at Al. "Was that...is there a cat in there?" She asked, blinking. "Can I see? I love kitties!"

"You can't keep it Al not the way we live." Ed sighed as Al pulled out a dark gray kitten from his suit. "But brother it was cold and alone." Al looked like he was pouting.

Gemini's eyes sparkled at the sight of the kitten. "Oh it's so cute!" She squealed, giving the cat a scratch behind the ear. "It kind of reminds me of miss Lori for some reason." Suddenly, she had an idea. "Maybe miss Lori will take care of it! She seems like a cat person. And it can keep her company if I have to leave for jobs and stuff."

"You really think so?" Al seemed to be grinning at her. "That would be great!" Ed rolled his eyes a little not understanding them at all.

"Yes, absolutely." Gemini said, nodding. "Let's go talk to her now! I can get her that dress on the way, too." She said.
