"Great!" With that Al dragged her off ignoring his brothers protests. He seemed to forget he was not a child sometimes. "Which shop?" He finally stopped when they got to the shopping district.

Gemini didn't seem to mind. She kept up pretty well for someone so short. "Over here." She said, leading Al to the shop. "I'll be in and out real quick." She said before running in. Two minutes later she was back with a dress bag over her shoulder. "Okay, let's go! Miss Lori lives this way."

"Will she be alright with me coming over?" Al seemed a little nervous about angering the woman. He gazed up at the apartment building "not sure I'll fit." he mused staring at the doorway.

"I'm sure she won't mind for a little while. Miss Lori is scary sometimes, but she's actually really nice." Gemini said, looking to see if he would fit. "I think if you go sideways, you'll fit through. Or we could knock. Miss Lori!" She called, knocking on the door.

Lori opened the door at the sound of her voice. Her hair was wet and she was bearing a bathrobe she pulled in closer to her when she saw Al then stared at the cat. "What the?"

"Oh, sorry miss Lori! I didn't know you were in the shower. But, we wanted to talk to you. First, here:" She held out an envelope and the dress bag. "This is the money I owe you, and that dress you wanted yesterday."

"You didn't have to buy that." Lori smiled softly letting them in glad Al fit into the apartment. "But thank you Gemini." she hung the dress up. "I'll wear it tomorrow."

Gemini beamed. "You didn't have to buy me all those clothes and shoes and a bed, but you did." She said. "Miss Lori, Al found this kitten and Ed won't let him keep it. And I thought, maybe if you wanted to, you could take care of it. It's got nowhere else to go, and it can keep you company when I'm away on jobs. And look, it even kinda looks like you!"

"What is that suppose to mean?" Lori scowled vaguely insulted. "I don't look like a cat."

Gemini shook her head. "No, I didn't mean it like that! I mean it's got the same color eyes as you, and I think it's a girl, too." She said, trying to clarify. She didn't really know what the resemblance was, just that it was there. But she meant it as a compliment.

Lori picked the cat up. "We can keep it but only if you help take care of it." She smiled at the cat who nuzzles her cheek. "We'll have to buy cat stuff. Go ahead and name..." She looked for good measure. "Her. Name her."

Gemini nodded so fast she looked like a bobblehead. "Right, of course I'll help!" She said, clearly excited. "A name? How about..." She paused for a moment, staring at the cat. "Oh, I know! Helena!"

"Sounds perfect. Now go hang out with Al I'm going to go pick up something's for the cat." Lori left the kitten with them.

"I'm glad she agreed so readily." Al sounded super happy.

Gemini nodded. "Me too! And I'm glad I get to help take care of Helena. Oh, and this means that you can visit and see Helena sometimes, too!" She said. "Here, sit down. So...where are you and Ed going? Or is it better if I don't know?"

"We are going to see are teacher she may know something about the Philosophers stone." Al shuddered at the memory of his teacher.

Lori meanwhile was at the pet shop buying plenty of cat thinking blushing as she thought about Roy's catsuit comment. "Curse him." she grumbled.

Was it possible for a suit of armor to look scared? Gemini wasn't sure, but it seemed like it. "Are you okay? Is your teacher that scary?" She asked.

Having finally finished cleaning up, Roy was walking down the street on his way home when he spotted Lori in a pet store. Intrigued, he decided to wait for her.

Lori nearly walked right into him cursing loudly. "Is that you Roy?" she asked around the pile of stuff. "If it is would you lend a hand?" she smiled softly. "Gemini brought me a cat that Al rescued."

"Yeah..." Al grimaced. "I'm afraid she'll feel me talking badly about her." he looked around. "Let's change the subject."

Roy chuckled. that explained it, then. He took several things from Lori, making it so that she could see. "So you decided to take care of it? What happens the next time Al finds a cat he can't keep?" He asked.

Gemini blinked. "...yikes. Okay, um...let's talk about...oh no, Helena, don't do that!" she cut herself off as she rushed to stop the kitten from peeing on the floor.

"I'll make you take care of it." Lori said with out missing a beat. "And if you did anything to it I would have an excuse to beat you."

Al chuckled "I hope Miss Lori gets back soon." After a few moments Lori pushed the door open with her hip. "I'm back and I picked up another stray on the way."

Roy pouted playfully. "You're just looking for excuses to hurt me." He said. As they walked into her apartment, he was met with the sight of Al, who just barely fit in the room, and Gemini, who was holding a cat up in the air.

Still holding Helena in a Lion King pose, Gemini looked up. "Oh, hello!" She tried to bow, but it didn't work very well. "Um...she wanted to pee on the floor, so I had to hold her just in case."

"Alright." Lori sighed glad when Al helped unload her arms. She set up the litter box "place her in here." She went around putting everything together then turned to study the room "there."

Gemini did as she was told, carefully placing the kitten in the litter box. "This is where you do potty stuff." She said, as if teaching a child.

Roy helped set up the room. Once it was done, he looked around. "Not bad. A cat seems to fit into your lifestyle perfectly." He said.

"True." Lori realized that her hand was touching his and with a jolt she pulled away blushing. "Sorry." She mumbled hurrying to get supper started.

Al watched Gemini with the cat. "Your really good with them."

Roy blushed slightly and looked away, scratching his cheek. "Sorry for what?" He asked, pretending he hadn't noticed her hand so close to him.

Gemini smiled up at Al. "I've always been good with animals. I like them better than most people..." She admitted. "You and Ed are okay, though."

"Nothing." Lori overheard Gemini and pouted a little. "I'm not alright?'' she was teasing the girl.

"I'm not exactly a person." Al said with a sigh.
