I want to finish my story for Nano.

It wouldn't have ended up finished until i made that 30 day plan i did yesterday. I'm just gonna do it that way, then go back and add the extra bits after November. I don't wanna submit it if it isn't finished! ><

Also sorry i've not been in here much, i was very distracted last night!

I want to finish too, but at the same time - school comes first, before NaNo... SO if school gets in the way, I'll just have to hit 50k and then finish after November.

Just hitting 50k in 30 days will be an achievement for me, but with it being my first attempt i guess im aiming high. I'll be happy just getting to the target of course, but i'll be over the moon if i make it to a part of the story i can consider "the end"

Although this idea could go on for a few extra books as i want my half elf to grow up and be a really important part of alot of it! :D

Knowing I can do it is one step -- 50k in 26 days last year, on top of 3 A's and a B in my classes.. So it's possible... I may just go insane, yet again. Rather more insane.

Heh. Imagine if they did a 12 month challenge. Write 12 books in a year xDD

I just know that I'd go completely mental.
I need a break from writing, expecially with work and school... although I may get back into writing next term, as I'm taking it off...

OMG! LAVI! Did I Tell you?! I talked to the people at Sac State yesterday when I Was there, and they basically said with my GPA and the fact I have my Golden 4 (the four main classes that they ask that you get done before transferring) done, and that I'm local... they're pretty sure I'll be accepted! Now just keeping my fingers crossed for CSUN!

And thanks! =] But I know if I do get into both, I'm definitely picking CSUN over CSUS even though I know that mum really does want me to go to CSUS because it's closer to home, plus that's where she goes, so she'd see me more often.

Well you do what is right for YOU and what YOU think will get you the best chances and stuff.

Also going with your heart rather than somebody elses is usually better haha. My mum would be quite happy with me being stuck in this rubbish town all my life but i know i won't get anywhere if i do that xD

Im thinking about doing a mini story so i can stop being so impatient haha.

Like just try and do 10k words from now till november based in my world but a totally un-related plot, like a family or something xD

It'll help me figure out my world a bit more and at least get me into the routine i'll need to have come november haha

I just wanna write and i feel like i'm stopping myself and it's annoying me xD

Setting targets is making me wanna write even more. So i guess i could learn a few things this next 2 months. I'll give myself a practice run now with 10k and 15 days to do it so i only have to write 800 or so words a day, thats nothing, then come november its the real challenge! xD

If you're going with the NaNo days of 1667 words a day, it's 6 days to hit 10k words. Maybe see if you can do that? As a trial run? Hit 10k in 6 days? Just a thought?

How's it going now?

I finished the post cards I was writing and time to finish typing up my assignment that's due tomorrow.

I got totally engrossed and got to 2000 words xD

I guess i really did wanna write haha.

If i can write 2000 in 2 hours then i guess i only need a good 2 hours a day to write properly to get Nano done.

I'm about to enter a teenager into the magicians guild xD

I figured it'd help me understand my MC magician in the real story if i wrote about somebody being taught it ^_^

I need to draw some kind of map today and get the first draft of background done. Finish the character profiles.

Haha yeah Xuv. I got sick of waiting so i decided to do a sort of mini prequel so i can figure out how my magic will work.

I made up a teenage boy that is about to join the guild to be taught magic ^_^

It'll help me with some world building too i guess, and the gods and magic system of course!

I'll probably only take it to 10k though, don't wanna get addicted to this one then have to stop to write my Nano! xD

I haven't got any... DX In my mental mind, it only has 2 big rounds clash at the middle, that is my mountain range...

I am doing a lot of mini history... so I could have the same steps you are taking. Difference is that, my mini history of the main character is just point form.

I think that is a good practice to test write and work out the kinks of the world that is very different than ours.
I even change how my planet orbit, seasonal changes, macro and micro climate. Not detail, but guidelines/rules/laws.

Still writing on your prequel?

I haven't decided if i wanna make it possible to travel to other worlds yet. I read an awesome series about "rift wars" and loved it, but attempting it myself, who knows. I've got plenty to use without adding more haha.

Im thinking of making it two moons though. One can be red. So that perhaps the two gods (order and chaos) are represented by the two moons maybe? xD

As for climate, each continent sorta has a different one. I want the main human one to be a bit like europe. A bit of all weather but some very cold winters and huge mountain ranges and valleys like Norway/Finland has, and the not so main one to be i dunno, Africa. Hot cities and saharas and perhaps a desert. Then obviously the Elven continent will be full of forests and green and big lakes and stuff ^_^

I guess i need to figure out the map so that will make sense climate-wise though xD

At it is precisely 3 something noon at my zone. XD

I didn't name the planet, just thought to figure out my own little galaxy, its numbers of neighbours, stars, constellations...so on. JUST the numbers/planets. Because I need to use those statistic in one area of my magic, the divination astronomy. to read the luck.

What I mean about climate is, what is affecting the climate. XD Due to my way of orbiting is different affecting the climate rules, which is why I did a short preparation of universe. Not necessary need to world collide/portal/adventure...

Oh yes, and my world is bigger than mention in my stories, so instead of preparing the full world map, I just note down the WONDERs of the WORLD. Highest peak, lowest trench, larges prairie, longest range, longest river, widest waterfall... without any idea where the south north east west it is. XD

Currently, I have calendar, time conversion, measurement conversion done. Need to prepare the map of the continent first before going into sociology.

On the side note, I did a find about field of studies list, the -ology/-onomy/-ry/-ic suffix. Rather fun, Found a whole list. Spark by your little prequel, I went again to find things like prologue, epilogue and terms similar. I felt Chapter is overuse...
