xDDD Dustpan.
My spell checker doesn't like it, either. It suggests "dystrophy" and "dyspepsia." What the living hell is dyspepsia? xD Dyslexia caused by pepsi? xDD
Okay. :D I'll go order it.
EDIT: For all of you Jane Austen nerds: Pride and Prejudice was published on this day in 1813.

I'm sure somewhere out there, there is a story about a dustpan but I doubt anyone is really into the dustpan genre. They would have to branch out into things like brooms and mops.
If you don't like I'll send you some worthless British money to cover the cost. =P

Mm, but I think I know an author who could probably make a dustpan interesting... He made a bag of cement interesting.
xD, Nah, it's fine. I'm using a credit on paperbackswap. So all it cost me is the cost of shipping that I paid to ship one of my own books out in return.

I am still finishing up the Sleeper Conspiracy. I hit a reading dry spell and had to switch to movies.
Yay! Smallville and Supernatural come on tonight!

Smallville is still on? xD I used to watch that, like the first season and part of the second but then I lost it. Maybe I'll pick up on it again.

@dani - noooo because they're crazy down here. i'll go in for a trim and come out looking like i did in sophomore year.
... you are crazy.
librarians just don't understand you. XD
@cherry - you are sort of making sense? i don't usually catch background things, but i'll try and keep an eye out for them.
ps.
check it.
the text title and the title in the book image. XD

Tireth - It's not like, super background. Another character talks about it, but the main character, the narrator, doesn't care.
Wow. xD Whoever compiled that page can't read. xD;

oh, then, i'll probably pick it up. XD
i just don't analyze books. like animal farm? i can't read it because school ruined any sort of enjoyment i would have gotten from reading it by pointing out that the theme is communism. >:[
nope, didn't fail. it's supposed to be called dusk watch, but, apparently, the english-speaking world is too snooty to use the word dusk and used twilight instead.
damn meyer.

Why wasn't it enjoyable because you knew that? Or like, did they make you analyze every single sentence of it to death?
Huh. That's weird. You think they would have at least changed the cover to match the new title. Like with the English and American covers of Harry Potter. It's called Sorcerer's Stone here and the cover says such.
WHY they have different titles I've never understood. Philosopher is a word here too. ><
EDIT: Okay, apparently they thought no kid would be interested in something with "philosopher" in the title but... Bah. ><

it wasn't fun after they made us analyze everything.
also, i'm not very fond of looking at things at more than face-value.
if it's a novel, i want to read it and discuss it as a novel, not some vessel for hidden ideas.
that was the main reason i had such awful grades in english classes. i never actually finished reading the books. so i had no clue what was going on for the questions and tests. x3
except for freak the mighty. and the hobbit. XD
they always do that for importing books from the UK. D:
just stop. the title is already in english. GRAAHHHH.
but with that book, it was originally russian. the english translation is dusk watch. apparently some people just can't handle FOUR LETTER WORDS. >_<
also, on amazon, they do have the cover, identical to the one on bn, but it does say twilight instead of dusk.

Generally I'm the same way, but I did make an exception for Animal Farm.
Were I made to analyze every sentence, yeah, I'd probably end up wanting to throw the book into the wall. But I probably wouldn't have even been interested in the book to begin with if it was JUST "some farm animals are crazy and power-hungry."
Ugh. "Twilight watch" is sort of hard to say, too. I don't know why. Too many W's, maybe. "Dusk watch" is easy to say and makes sense.
Oh, good thing that they updated the cover in at least one version. But why not just keep it at Dusk. >< They apparently decided to at first, just stick with it.

LOL. I'm going to do something REALLY mean IRL.
There's a discussion on Twilight and I joined it. We are all to make presentations. Mine is anti twilight. The Article involving the actors who played Bella and Edward dissing Twilight are part of it.

@leenie: Fail America. You know I think my mom was planning on getting me the original HArry Potter books from the UK. Just because there's probably million words they changed because apparently we don't like big words like Philosopher.

@cherry - because they're retarded. that's the only explanation i can think of. >_>

@alex - you are just evil through and through, aren't you? XD
first the channah thing and now the anti-twilight in a twilight discussion. xp
@dani - america is pretty much made of fail. D:

I could never be truly anti-Twilight because it's brought me far too many lolz.
I don't want to read it though (I have looked at it and goodness knows I've heard enough about it) and I wish people (mostly IRL) would respect that. ¬_¬

Well I don't usually take people's word for things. I mean I do up to a point. But if it's negative I almost NEVER do. So when I found out about Twilight I actually ran into some of the antis when I was only halfway through the first book... and I went... "it's not so bad..."
... and then I discovered the nightmare that was in store for me. I actually just recently barrowed Eclipse from the library but only because I'm going to throw it against the wall if it's as bad as everyone keeps saying as it is. If it was my copy I'd burn it... but I actually sold both of the first two copies to a used bookstore because I didn't want their filth poisioning my house. XD

I haven't read it yet.
I probably won't.
There are so many amazing novels out there that I see no reason to spend my time on something that I may not enjoy / might hate.

I've had the first 3 books sitting in my house for over a month and I still haven't gotten around to reading them . . . I have too many things I keep checking out from the library!
I just finished Coraline by Neil Gaiman and I'm also reading Halting State and Turn me On.
I just got Liberation: Being the adventure of the slick six after the collapse of the united states of America into my library and I'm excited to read it- but not until I finish the 2 I'm reading right now because I also just checked out Living Dead in Dallas (book 2 of the Sookie Stackhouse vampire novels)
